hi, i tried to rebrand my phone but suddenly it shown "update Success" and after that screen does not show any image... when i am trying to connect PC it only shows unknown serial port named "USB SER" can anyone help me??? ((((((((
Did you try to connect it in fastboot mode?
i have same problem unknown serial port named "USB SER" any body help plz
You've bricked the phone. Nothing you can do except return for repair.
The device needs to have it's internal test points bridged and re-programmed at board level using special tools. These are not publicly available and opening the device to reveal the test points would completely invalidate your warranty anyway.
Did you try to flash firmware with a different revision after you re-branded your device?

In SP Flash Tool (v3.1304.0.119, seemingly the latest I can find out there) I get the following, no matter which function I perform:
BROM ERROR: S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL (4032)
[EMI] Enable DRAM Failed!
Err msg box pops up right after RED 100% (no subsequent yellow & green)
Is this likely a hardware failure or is there any possibility of rescuing via SW means.
Worse case scenario I'll have to send to back to CHN.
Thanks for any input you may offer.
i've same problem
help me too
I've got the same problem : I erased my preloader (I can't use "Preloader-->DA" any more to brush a ROM). Now, I'm looking how to boot on "ROM-->DA". On a MT6577, it's easy : you put the battery without power on the phone, you connect USB cable, you run your brush software ("SP flash tool" or "SP_MDT"), you remove the battery... and the brush begin. But on MT6589, it doesn't work
If someone has a solution...
@crkmanho: your phone got recognized as mt5xx preloader, so it isn't bricked. you`ll need to get the correct firmware for your device and make full download. did you made a backup of your running firmware? No? Haha. next time think about it before just flashing random FW to your device. also, check in your driver settings that you have assigned vcom port 1-16 to mt65xx preloader. sometimes preloader is recognized (vcom 7 or something) bt other device drivers are offset (27 or something) wich will work for connecting your device to PC, but not flashing through SP Flash Tool.
@ManuD_Linux: is your device recognized by your PC? if so, same thing. if it is completely dead, google for "mt65xx testpoint" or something similar. not every phone got one, but many. you can connect the testpoint to GND and the phone will "boot" into preloader. those devices are almost unbrickable.

I find a solution !!! It certainly will help someone. If you totally brick your Lenovo A820 (no or bad preloader), simply brush (with "SP flash tool") this preloader : http://desvigne.org/divers/firmwares/Preloader_a820.7z
After, all become possible ! You can brush an original firmware with a flash tool, and bruch TWRP, install a custom firmware....
Hope it helps someone... (the Lenovo is really unbrickable ).

Hello everyone.
I'm having trouble fixing my bricked LG G2 (D801/T-Mobile).
The current situation is as follows...
I am able to partially enter download mode within the "DemiGod Crash Handler" screen, I can confirm this by the fact that Windows detects the device the following...
Modems > LGE AndroidNet USB Modem
Ports (COM & LPT) > LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port (COM41) ( Please note: I changed port in attempt to connect the device to LG Flash Tool v1.8.6.527).
However when I plug the device into the computer and launch LG Flash Tool v1.8.6.527, it begins to flash, then errors out with a "Model Information Check Fail" message.
I did try the KDZ flash method with LG Flash Tool 2014, but that method didn't work because it errored out in "Problems communicating phone and PC". (Please note: I did not modify any COM ports for the device before trying this method. I left it at the default COM3 port).
Anyways... This is my dilemma and I hope someone out there can help me.
SIncerely,
~ Android
EDIT: When attempting to flash using LG Mobile Support Tool, it once again errors out with "Upgrade halted due to lack of battery power" even though I've sat the device in various charging modes for going on 7 days...

can you get the device to recovery mode
No, I cannot. It just boots into the DemiGod critical error screen.
No solution has been found. I've since scrapped the device. It's gone now. Thanks everyone for the help. Rest in peace, LG G2 (D801).
Hi
My 3 year old Moto G5 Plus running android 8.1 suddenly restarted today and went into Start up failure. It no longer shows My product or IMEI number. It just shows potter 000000000000000 32GB P3B
Bootloader logs read " Start up failure. Your device didn't start up successfully. Use the Software Repair Assistant on computer to repair your device. Connect your device to your computer to get the Software Repair Assistant" written in red.
I have my IMEI and product numbers saved on my pc, but the LMSA software does not recognise my device to even try to rescue it. I want to retrieve files from my phone before attempting a factory reset.
On using the LMSA, it says "lmsa doesn't match appropriate firmware. you can try to select a firmware manually" but then it has no option to select anything manually. I have my phone previously registered on the software on my PC.
I have not rooted my phone, nor used anything other than stock android. My bootloader is locked. I cannot remember if I had Developer options selected or not, most probably not.
On trying to go to recovery mode it says the same message " Start up failure. Your device didn't start up successfully. Use the Software Repair Assistant on computer to repair your device. Connect your device to your computer to get the Software Repair Assistant"
Please help! I really need to recover my photos and notepad notes. Is there any way? Any software?
Please help! Please!
was this issue resolved

Facing the same now .. what to do?
Hello!
Not sure if here is the correct place to ask this..
I was flashing a new firmware on this device a few days ago and it went wrong at 70%. I am using Multimedia Production Tool and after the error I can't get in ADFU mode anymore and can't even rollback to my backup fw. The program just don't recognize the device and when I plug the USB cable it starts and got stuck on the start screen (images on attachment).
Anyone has this device and has any hints to me? Is there another way to flash the fw to this device?
Hi All
I have ROG 5s tencent edition. it was modified by seller to global. I have been using it for more than 1 year now. Last night something happened and it went off. I tried turn it on but it kept bootlooping at logo. It is not detetedable by computer because bootloader was locked by seller before selling. I had no idea about that at that time.
MY device is now in bootloop. I can open bootloader but it won't take me to recovery mode. Fastboot commands are also not working . Phone not found by computer in any state. Can any one provide me with some pointers on how an i flash firware,
Recoery is not opening. When I select it from bootloader it keeps bootlooping
Fastboot is not seen by computer. Tried many cables, both ports.
If anyone can guide me that be a huge favor as this is my daily driver
Your device should be dected in bootloader mode even if it has been locked. Connect via the side port with a good data cable and check drivers on Windows.
Once you have verified you have access to send Fatboot commands to the device in Bootloader mode, you can simply do a RAW flash to any working version and then upgrade normally to the firmware version you want. You don't need unlocked bootloader to flash this way.

I have tried but it is not detected as anything. Not even unknown device. I have installed qualcomm drivers. What other drivers are there? Could u tell?

If there isn't a hardware issue with the device, you should be able to.
Try to delete the driver and re-install it. Use the official Android USB driver from the SDK as opposed to Qualcomm drivers from random places on the net. Plug it in from the side port and try to turn it on while connected. Have Device Manager in Windows open and notice changes. Read out what it is recognized as. If absolutely nothing, then it's the cable, Windows or the device may really have a motherboard defect.
I believe it's more likely motherboard. Is there any fix for it?
