The problem I have with this phone, is that I do not have the original chip or sim card of the company, and this asks me for an activation as shown in the image:
My questions are: Is there an original ROM of this device? or if I can put the Rom of another model? or how can I solve the activation of the phone?
From already thank you very much!

I WAS GIVEN ONE OF THESE A WEEK AGO.
It is more simple than you would believe. At first I thought it would need a rom too. Or maybe I could root and bypass somehow.....
Nope,, I put in a non working Verizon Sim Card and when you get to the activAvation screen where it asked for a email or gmail account SLOW DOWN AND READ THE SCREEN...
You can simply skip adding an account..... then the phone booted right up for me and i set it up as i pleased.
Um, If im missing something, well, I did to a factory reset, then a hard reset..... I BELIEVE HAVING THE SIM CARD WAS ALL IT NEEDED.
Now I have full access, have turned on Developer Mode, it also has the OEM unlock feature, so im assuming this TRAC PHONE is going to have a built in recovery..... The only trac phone I messed with before is still in a box and will never recover from the brick i DROPPED ON IT.

Thanks for your comment, the friend problem is that I do not live in the United States, my dad gave me this phone so I do not have access to any of the companies in that country, so I asked if you could change the ROM to jump the Activation step.

Try a Hard Reset, not a factory reset..... Hold the power button and vol button Up button until the phone reboots.... if it takes you to the recovery then wipe it from there and also wipe the cache. then reboot with any cdma sim card and see what that does for you.... I also now have the active dialer codes of the phone... My favorite APP for any phone is MIXPLORER. It lets me disect the apk's and thats where all codes are hidden with exception of the unlock codes of course. I still havnt figured that out.
If that doesnt work for you then I will let you know that the phone is the same, AND (SHOULD )be compatible with alcatel one-touch pixie 3. However, My first attempts at unlocking the bootloader have failed, if its locked... suppose i should check that.....
I will be putting CM12 or Lineage Os On this phone soon..... or Ill brick it trying......
Good Luck to you.
If no sim cards work for you then order a Verizon sim on the internet.... or I could send you the one I have...

Same problem plsssssss how can I get your simcard

i have a jitterbug smart 2 off ebay and it takes forever on the setup screen after factory reset and then i wait like twenty minute and this sceen pops up and says setup failure please contact customer support and refer error code 2, that was the first error code, i tried again and got the second code which was error code 5 after i switched the sim card, third time and still nothing but the long finishing setup screen and setup failure, please help

Try this!
I can tell you a temp fix. I am here now on smart2 jitterbug.
Force reboot. When phone is starting , it takes it a moment to kick into finish setup mode. Quickly drop down notifications, go into settings, choose apps, choose show system apps, quickly empty cache and disable setup wizard. There are 2 different ones. One it into let you disable, but you can first stop, and clear cache. You may have to make a few attempts. I'm assuming your on wifi, so walk as far as possible without disconnecting but enough to lag your connection is helpful, in the effort. Also I disabled the permissions the apps had also alter system and perform on top of other apps. I just did this. There is a way to disable other apps I know. I haven't had an opportunity to do this yet.

This seemed to work for a moment for me. I disabled both setup wizards and I was finally able to use the phone for an extra 2 minutes or so but then the phone just rebooted on it's on. When it came back up, the same "Finishing setup" crap started after about 20 seconds. I checked the Setup Wizards and they were both still disabled, so how can the "Finishing Setup" still be running?
Update: actually the 2nd setup wizard app can't be disabled. I tried to force stop it but it doesn't seem to stop. Any suggestions?

My battery went dead and when I booted back up I had to wrestle with it again. On the wizard that doesn't let you disable it, did you clear the cache? Where it says storage, you go there and clear cache and data. My gboard started error looping me, I force close and temp disabled then cleared cache and data and re-enabled. This fixed it. Now this is only a temp solution to use the jitterbug. And stop the setup loop. I have a lot of experience bypassing for locked phones, and I knew this technique from a bypass. I will experiment more, and look for a permanent solution. I have never rooted a phone before and this seems like a good specimen.
The technique I was speaking of involved disabling Google play services, play store, and device manager, also. Re installing a new device manager and play service. It let you get through and add an account to the phone, without forcing you to add the account, you lost access too...

First in the world solution for fully bypass the setup
Follow this one by one
1 - put a sim card with a pin code and boot the phone
2 after boot you will get a swipe screen lock ( or press power button to turn of and on the screen )
3 - go down and press emergency call two times
3 - put pin code and phone dialer will open
4 - put this code *#*#4636#*#*
5 - testing tab will show go to usage stastics
6 - use back button from the testing tab not the phone back button
7 - settings tab will show up go to wifi and connect to internet
8 - go security and make a screen lock from setting + enable unknow sources installation
9 - turn off the screen and on with power button
10 - screen lock will show up press two time on camera and put screen lock
11 - take a picture + swipe the camera to go to captured picture
12 - press on share button and go to email not GMAIL ... log to outlook email
13 - no need to send the pic ... use back button on touch to back to email main front ( not back button on phone )
14 - download shortcuts maker apk from another phone or pc
15 - use another outlook accout to send apk app to the phone email
16 - after receive apk install it + open
17 - find setup wizard you will see to two apps
18 - press the second one and swip down to the last one

code *#*#4636#*#* not working

I know I'm late to this party, but I picked up the Jitterbug Smart2 and kept getting stuck at the "Finishing Setup" part; I left the original SIM card in that came with the phone, tried my Verizon SIM, and after a couple minutes it'd go back to that "Finishing setup" crap. This is what I did to get around/stop that annoyance:
Boot the phone, as soon as you do enable 'Developer options' (by navigating to System->About>then tapping "Build number" 5 times. If you're lucky, you can go back to the Dev options and enable "USB Debugging" (if not, reboot the phone then immediately go to Developer Options->Enable "USB Debugging"
Once USB Debugging is enabled, reboot again...
On the next reboot, I went straight to Apps->click the three dots in the right hand corner and select "Show system apps".
If you can, go down to "Setup Wizard" and disable it - make sure it's the one without an icon, not the on with the wizard hat
It may take you a few times to get there, but once your do, open up a command line with ADB running and connect the phone. It should prompt you to all the connection on the phone, tap "Remember this computer" on the phone, then run the following commands one at a time:
adb shell settings put global setup_wizard_has_run 1
adb shell settings put secure user_setup_complete 1
adb shell settings put global device_provisioned 1
Enjoy! I am still trying to figure out how to unlock the bootloader, as every attempt to reboot to fastboot/bootloader just straight reboots the phone.

[SOLUTION] How To Fix "CM Lockscreen Has Stopped Working" Error in OnePlus One 38R
DISCLAIMER: I do not guarantee that this method will work for you, but it doesn't require ROOT or a custom recovery, etc. So, it's safe.
So, three days after OTA updating my OPO to XNPH38R, I randomly got the "unfortunately, CM Lockscreen has stopped working" error, and my phone became virtually unusable. I was devastated! I didn't want to wipe my phone. So, I decided to just got into Recovery and wipe the cache. But my custom recovery was freezing, so I decided to boot up my computer and try to re-flash recovery... And while I was waiting for my computer, I stumbled upon this work-around. I hope it helps someone.
WORK-AROUND METHOD:
Step 1.) Reboot your phone. (You'll have to hard reset it by holding the power button down for 5+ seconds.)
Step 2.) After the phone restarts and you're faced with the persistent error of death again, just press the power button once to turn off the screen. Then, turn the screen back on.
Step 3.) When you turn the screen back on in Step 2, the screen should be totally black with the capacitive buttons still lit. If this doesn't happen, try repeating Step 2 until it does.
Step 4.) Just leave the phone on with a blank screen and lit capacitive buttons for 20+ seconds. This seems to be an important step.
Step 5. Turn your phone screen off and back on again. For me, this fixed the persistent error. Yay! Hopefully it works for you. However, for me, the error came back again in only 5 minutes, and I had to repeat the entire procedure. Which is why we need Step 6.
Step 6.) Disable the lockscreen. This can be done by going to System Settings > Lockscreen > Screen Security > Screen Lock, and then choose "none" to disable the lockscreen entirely. This has kept the persistent error from recurring for me for 12+ hours.
And, that's it! That's all. You get to keep your data and information. And you get to keep the latest OnePlus One software version... However, unfortunately, you lose all lockscreen Security. But, you could maybe try installing a third-party lockscreen like "GO LOCKER" until OnePlus recognizes this problem and fixes it in the next update.
Good luck everyone! Lemme know if this works for anyone else besides me.

This is not working for me as i cant get my phone to the stage where the screen is black with only the buttons lighting up
Alternative solution
I too faced the same problem with the lockscreen after changing my wallpaper.
However the method mentioned above did not work for me.
I tried this instead.
1. Restart your phone by holding down the power button for a few seconds.
2. Turn off the screen.
3. Use the play music gesture: swipe down 2 fingers to start the music player. (tried the camera gesture but did not work).
The lockscreen problem disappeared since then. I have also turned off the lockscreen in the settings in fear of it reoccurring.
Hope this helps any of you suffering from the same problem.
Cheers!
I found another way to get your phone unlocked
So the solution that was provided by Marvelite did not work for me. I tried many many MANY times, but to no avail.
After looking around the interweb, I found some other instructions to root my phone (FYI I had no experience in rooting) and I was able to fix it without flashing or re installing anything.
So... what did I do. All I did was unlock my phone. I got my phone and remember saying it was unlocked, as you could use any carrier. That is not what I mean by unlock. What I mean by unlock is you cannot flash it or erase it. See the command line window below saying the phone is not unlocked and that is why I cannot flash it. I thought I had to flash it or erase it to get everything working. Just unlocking it fixed the CM Lockscreen Has Stopped Working error.
So what will you need to install on your computer and do to your phone.
1) Download adb-setup- 1.3.exe (if you type "adb-setup- 1.3.exe" into google, you will find a download) and install ADB system wide on your computer.
2) Put your phone in Fastboot mode and plug it into your computer. To do this, have your phone completely off and then hold the volume up and power button. You will see the screen of your one plus one in fastboot mode.
3) open up a command line window (as in my attached picture) and type fastboot oem unlock
THIS WILL RESET YOUR PHONE! After I typed in fastboot oem unlock, my phone reset itself and it was though I had hit the factory reset.
You can see from the command line window attachment, that I tried to flash my phone based on this workflow (http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/help/fix-brickloop-audio-fx-fc-efs-corrupt-t2879061), but I did not even need to do this, because my phone was not unlocked. Then when I unlocked my phone, the problem was fixed.
I hope this works for those that have this horrible bug.

Could really use some help with Lg Tribute 2

Hello everyone, Hope all is well with you all. I bought the Boost Mobile Lg Tribute 2 [LG LS665] [android v5.1.1] about 3 days ago now and as with any new android based device I get, gaining root and installing a custom recovery becomes my first priority. Well gaining root was no problem at all for me using the KingRoot app but the problem occurred when uninstalling some system apps\ bloatware. I uninstall the same system apps every time I get a device with no problems whatsoever. On my new Lg Tribute 2 I didn't uninstall anything I haven't before except this time when I restarted my phone I was(and am everytime I restart now) greeted with the usual phone initial setup accept it starts at the accessibility screen. Now keep in mind that my phone is already setup and has apps installed. When I continue the setup it goes through as normal and all my apps and wallpaper are still there accept my status bar won't pull down and my home and menu buttons don't work anymore. When I restart as stated previously I'm confronted with the initial accessibility setup - choose language - choose wifi etc ..... What i have found today is that instead of going through the initial setup at each restart I can instead access the settings through the lock screen and when i choose Settings \Home screen\Select Home\ and pick 'Home' it simply bypasses the setup and loads the home screen which is great accept when I go that route my Home and Menu soft keys are still disabled (not highlighted and unresponsive) plus my status bar still wont pull down unless the phone is locked. What did I uninstall to do this. I can't remember what apps i uninstalled off the top of my head and can't find a list of preinstalled system apps on line to compare with. I know this is long so I apologize but I am stumped. Google search comes up empty as the Tribute 2 is fairly new as is 5.1.1 so any help would be appreciated very much. Also I for the life of me cannot find anything for the lg tribute 2 that could help me such as a working custom recovery, a stock image or any custom roms. Thank you for taking the time to read this very very very much.
Summary of problems:
1. Confronted with initial phone setup at each restart even though phone is setup.
2. My status bar won't pull down unless phone is on lock screen. (luckily because this gives me access to the phone settings and homescreen).
3. My soft home and menu buttons don't work at all ( only back button still works).
4. Cannot find stock image on line to reflash.

It sounds like you just need to complete the setup screen, is it connected to a Google account? I had a similar problem when I needed my Google password to complete setup. It's called Google FRP factory reset protection

FRP solution Edit: ita not solved !

Edit: just tried on my friends phone, the factory reset things not solving this up, im solving this cuz rhats my last email, im sorry guys, i will find another way
Hey, i found a way how to remove frp in s7
But its kind in a bored way so straps in
First, bootup your s7/s7E and click start
Drain 1% battery and wait 1+- hours in wifi menu
Connect to wifi and click next, now in agreement policy click readmore and pick enhanced features, hold any text and click share, now a pop up come out saying open in apps, hold the "apps" thing, now you redirected to the setup "about", lress force stop then click battery, and click change power save location, now click google location history, and press the 3 dot tiles in upper right and press help, when help sellected a pop up come out saying open in. Select internet and go to rootjunky website and download samsung verification bypass app, now you want to press bookmark button on the downside of the browser and choose history then download history, now install the file and select open
In the setting add samsung account and sync now, after sync finished, go to backup & reset, select factory reset
Ater reset , its still prompt out the last gmail acc, now type your gmail account, and thats it thats my way
If you have any other way/simple way. Feel free to type in the comments
Lol, you sure about this ? Why must wait 24+hrs ? Anyway, we shall wait and see if this is working. May I ask where did you get this from ?
edit: bro, this might be working. Please explain more ' then click battery, and click change power save location".

When you click share , you should see a pop up, hold the app that popped up, and now it should go to the detailed setup app, and clicked battery there, there should a text "change to a power saving location"
Thx bro. Yes, I did everything until press 'force stop'. Then I can access status bar / notification bar. When you said click battery which battery ? Pls look at the picture, is it this battery (the word 'Battery' on lower row) ?

Ahh, now I see more clear. So wait on WiFi menu until 'battery notification pop-up' first ? Then we can go ahead for the rest of the steps ?
Anyway, if this work it will save me going to Samsung Service Center (even though I'm not sure they can resolve my situation) . My google acct. was hacked few days ago and the guy changed password and remote reset my device. I just got my google acct back to my control yesterday morning, and supposedly I've more than 72hrs after the reset but still no joy. That's way I'm eager to get this FRP fixed.
EDIT: Guess what, managed to log in and setup as usual. I don't know if 72hrs. lockout expired or whatever.
Thanks anyway bro. I guess all is good now.

I just did regular setup and put my old google back and it worked. I'm sure my 72hrs FRP protection has expired. All is well, happy again. Thanks again bro Aditia.
I confirm this works to get to settings menu on S7 Edge.
This will get you in to settings I can confirm I can repeat the process every time.
like he said wait at least an hour before connecting to wifi and then the location power option appears in the later steps if it doesnt then you didn't wait long enough.
I can repeat this over and over to get in to the setting menu,
I currently have nova launcher installed, I can add a samsung account but I can't add a google account it asks me to enter the previous details first which of course she can't remember
Edit...
See the following image....
"Change to a power saving locating method" for this to show up you need to wait around 1hr on the wifi screen before continuing...

The home button doesn't function and I cannot access developer settings I believe this is because there is no account on the phone yet.
I had to stop the android setup to get the drop down menu to work but the settings cog icon does nothing when clicked but I can turn on wifi, gps, blutooth, torch etc.
I can access settings from the apps screen though.
There seems to be icons missing from apps for instance I know google chrome is on here as it pops up as an option to open links with but there is no icon for it in the apps menu or any of the desktops.
I can't use the play store, gmail app, play music etc as it attempts to add a google account to the phone. I was able to add new google account to the Email app though so she has a new email now that she can access and use.
Any app I install from other sources for instance file explorer, faceballs, etc do not show in the apps section, so I can only launch them again when closed by using the search to find faceballs etc.
The bottom left button that would normally bring up all running apps lights up when pressed the back button also lights up when I press the bottom left button but nothing happens.
Home button works to wake the phone up but when you have an app open and click it then it doesn't take you back home, you can still triple press it for voice help to turn on and off.
No camera is in the list of apps but can access it through the Gallery which has a shortcut on the desktop but does not appear in the apps list.
anyone know a way to launch TouchWiz?
Bump!
Please see edit to above post I have functionality of most features of the phone that let the other half use it day to day she just needs to keep it on and charged.
Update 2...
Once you have bypassed the screen once you never have to wait at the WiFi screen again. The location power option is immediately available everytime you reboot after the initial bypass I can restart and because I have nova launcher in my download history I can just select it to install again it makes no change then it launches and I'm back in the nova launcher with all my previous changes.
i waited at least 6 hours but still not showing "power saving locating method" plz help another way?

Make sure during the wait that your phone is not plugged in to a charger or usb port on your pc.

Toasted Moto X Play (Where to go from here?)

Hi, I have a toasted moto x play which I believe moto is responsible for, (bought on Amazon) but I'm doing volunteer work in Africa. I'm wondering if I can somehow salvage my phone with an Android upgrade or a custom rom (never done that). Ok here's what happened: My phone gave me a message that it was running very low on memory. I was super busy at the time and had to ignore it. When I rebooted the phone it came up with a black screen. However after rebooting about 3 times finally it came back. I cleared some storage removing pictures and Vids etc. However strangely the settings Icon had disappeared from the notifications bar. I then noticed that the home button and the multitask button did not work. I can get to settings from the settings app. But I can only run one app at a time and then back out of it as only the back button works. I was able to copy some stuff to Dropbox and back up my SMS messages before trying a factory reset. But then I found the factory reset button is greyed out! Google told me that some people have had this and solved it by removing their account. Bad advice. I removed my account and now cannot add it back. At least before this I could still access my mail, Google drive etc. I tried the factory reset by pressing the volume and power keys, and scrolling to recover mode. I get a message: Command not found.
Is my phone 'bricked'? It was running Android 6. I understand that 7 should be available soon. Is there any hope of manually installing such an update?

[Question] Wait 168 Hours to Unlock

I have attempted to unlock this phone multiple times already, I always get the "Wait 168 hours..." message.
The steps I do:
1. Add device in Developer settings
a. If it asks me to try to add the account and device again, I log out then log in the Mi Account then re-do the step in Developer Setting
2. Open Mi Unlock tool so I can get the verification code on my phone
3. Turn off phone, Fastboot mode
4. Unlock
I have attempted this at least 4 times on 2 different sim cards and 2 different accounts. I still get the wait message.
Edit: I waited the 168 hours every time
Any ideas?
Maybe useful

also possible that you have not used the phone enough.

DO NOT LOG OUT your Mi-Account.
You do the first step correct.
I assume you press the button in the developer mode with SIM card and internet access with it (not WIFI internet access, your number needs to have internet access).
If you pressed the button in the Developer Setting once, DON'T PRESS THE BUTTON ANYMORE, it will reset the countdown timer.
You pressed the button in the developer setting ONCE. Then just wait. You don't need to go into developer setting in the later steps.
The later steps only involves PC and your phone. You won't see the countdown timer in your phone. The timer is seen on PC with your phone under fastboot mode.

Ok, thank you!
So my only mistake was rebinding the account after waiting the 168 hours, I thought I had to re-do it from the top.
So after the wait, just go into fastboot directly and unlock.
Thank you!
