I could not find a definitive answer to this anywhere. I would like to purchase a NON-US variant of the Samsung galaxy tab with phone feature enabled, for use with VZW US.
I am currently in Taiwan and they have the phone enabled devices here but I am unsure if there is a model which will have CDMA+GSM OR IF IT IS EVEN COMPATIBLE ON VERIZONS NETWORK.
Taiwan does have CDMA. I believe it is 800 and VZW in the US is 800/1900.
I will also be visiting japan as well, so if there is a galaxy tab phone there that will work on the us verizon network I'd pick that up.
This should really be as simple as finding a model that supports both GSM and CDMA and just inserting the 4G LTE SIM card into it when I am back in the states.
Any help is appreciated, thanks!
I'm interested in the possibility of using an unlocked international S6 variant on Verizon's network in hopes of obtaining root. Does anyone know if this is possible? I spoke to a verizon rep on the line about this and I was told that "Theoretically, it should work fine. Verizon cannot offer support for non-verizon variants."
Can anyone with some more knowledge on this shed some light on this matter? Can the international model be activated on Verizon and rooted? If so, which S6 international model can be used?

I'm pretty sure the international version doesn't support CDMA, which is used by Verizon for 2G and 3G network. So you won't be able to call or text (data should still work though). The Verizon S6 (G920V) actually comes with a Qualcomm modem to support CDMA, as opposed to Samsung's own Shannon.

Any ideas about the Sprint Variant then? It's been rooted and is CDMA.

The Sprint variant (G920P) should be compatible with Verizon as it comes with the Qualcomm modem.

I am currently using my sprint S6 on the Verizon Network.
Current issues:
PRL needs to be updated because it is preferring to use the sprint network over Verizon. This makes it so that my fastest speeds are 1Mb/s. not to mention sprint network here blows with reception.
If anyone could help me with what PRL would be the correct one to use. Also I haven't flashed the PRL before and I am reluctant to start pressing buttons in the CDMA Dev Tool.
Help would be appreciated.
Does any one know if a sprint version U11 will work on verizon ? Yes no CDMA compatible with verizon but as published on line verizon no longer requires a phone to have CDMA as per the unlocked version being able to work on verizon and the verizon version itself having no CDMA support either.
I"am asking because I know someone that can get me a discount on a sprint U11 I just need to know if it will work on verizon.
I tried looking up the gsm bands and all I get is one set I cant find any just specific to the sprint version. I know that even if verizon wont activate it I could just pop in a sim that was activated in a verizon phone previously.
Here is a link to an article that lists verizon no longer requires phones to support CDMA to be activated on their network as they are getting rid of CDMA.

Anyone ?
Has anyone SIM unlocked an ATT A51 and is using it on TMobile? I want to switch from ATT to TMobile but when I go to check compatibility of the IMEI for BYOD It says that this phone does not support key features. Your phone doesn't support Extended Range LTE or Voice over LTE technology.
Was planning on buying and seen in a eBay ad that the E version doesn't work for att/cricket. Can anyone confirm or deny?
I specifically need an international version for root purposes. So E/0/B. If any one of these three can be confirmed working on any GSM network specifically red pocket H2O AT&t cricket or whatever else is GSM I need to know soon. Thanks.
Do a google search Phones That work on At&t. If it is not on list At&t will disable your Sim. Trust me I can no longer use several of my International devices on At&t. And if you call and have them whitelist the imei that trick only works for a day or so. Their network now detects unauthorized devices. There are a few F devices on the list but not many.
How do I do that search for all the GSM carriers? Because I'm known to switch from one GSM to the next couple times a month.
