Time error after reboot. - Samsung Galaxy S8+ Questions & Answers

Hi guy, I've update my S8+ last night and this strange issue start happening. Everytime I reboot, my phone automatically change the time to the time provided by network, this is annoying as I always set my time 5min faster than normal time (I have unclicked Auto Time n Date).
And if you turn on aeroplane mode and reboot, the time will always changed to 31-Dec-2018 06:01, everytime the system will change back to this exactly date and time. I have wipe cache already but still the same.
I've attached a pic with my software version. Can anyone please let me know what is happening or have a solution for it. Thanks

[Q] rebooting after i power off.

so my phone has recently started to reboot when i power off. ive switched roms the problem still persist. is any one having this problem? and did anyone come up with a soloution?.
seems all of a sudden a few people have been having this issue, i was running many roms for a few months with no problems at all then all of a sudden phone just started rebooting after being powered off. people keep saying its something with CWM but i cant fix the issue.
Just copied this from another thread.
I believe CWM did have some problems partitioning before. Not sure if it still does. It seems like I have found a fix for myself. I turned off automatic system time and date and reset the date to January 2012. The phone seems to be working like it did before this occured. I will wait until tomorrow and change the date back to automatic and see if the power issue shows back up, but for now it seems ok.
I did as he said and it did nothing, but just now i tried it again and set the date to 1/1/2011 and now my phone turns off and stays off
Since I was quoted I thought I would jump in and let you know that changing the date for a whole day like I described did work for me. I have since changed back to automatic date and time and so far the phone has been all right for the last few days. (From what I have researched I think this is some kind of daylight savings time change issue or something like that occurring with CWM that some people are having.)
ok so i changed the date and it worked!!!! thank you!!!!!
so mine works correctly as long as i leave it on the wrong date, as soon as i put it on automatic or change it to the correct date it goes back to rebooting

Sometimes fails to boot/backlight kind of working - need technical help

Hey there, I have kind of trouble with my PQ.
The PQ sometimes fails to boot correctly.
Booting the PQ results in a short (a few seconds) backlight and then dark. (Important: No picture or text is shown!)
Then there are two errors I've experienced so far:
- after the backlight is dark, I press a button (POWER/VOL_UP-DOWN/CAMERA) and it vibrates. After a few times of pressing and vibrating, it vibrates long and it then seems to be off. Since the backlight is off, I can't know if it's really off.
- after the backlight is dark, I do nothing except sliding out the keyboard (backlight is off). In this error it seems to start "correctly", because after some time the keyboard backlight goes on. That means, that "android" has bootet and is waiting for password entry (because of encrypted phone).
Either way, I have to reboot several times until it boots correctly. (With some luck it takes only 2-3 times.)
Some notes:
- I have to put my sdcard off, because the password entry doesn't appear if it's in. (ext4 filesystem, android seems to want to decrypt that -.-)
- [needs more testing] The phone has had force resets. I think it was my Access Point/Router, causing the WLAN (or qualcomm SoC) to hang. I changed the screen-part (touchscreen+display etc.), seems not to help. (I also disabled that Access Point/router, so I'm still waiting for a force reset.)
- [needs more testing] Sometimes the SIM-card and/or sdcard is not recognized after a reboot/cold boot. I have to reboot to get it back to work. SIM-card recognition may take more than one reboot.
What's in /system?
- CM11 M11 snapshot
- gapps
- XPosed framework (it boots and everything actually works fine)
...if I forgot anything, I will notice that in a later post or edit this and notice in a new post.
I also have a problem with wakeups again (started just a few days ago, after uninstalling two apps...). That's weird, but I can't find the cause. Neither in the XPosed Logs nor in catlog. I need to investigate it further.
I tried to be very exact and I've put anything that might be relevant into this post.
If you have any ideas (no matter how implausibly they are), post them. I am out of any ideas.
It might be helpful to get a log when it boots "incorrect", but I'm sure it's not written anywhere inside the system.
The good thing is, my wakelock problem "disappeared".
The PQ is having deep sleep again.
I have no idea what the wakelock caused...
No force reboot so far.
Another good thing: the force reboots are gone after disabling the AP/router which probably was the cause.
A stable week for me, the phone didn't crash at all.
Of course the other issues stays.
Saturdays (today) the phone is being rebooted by Titanium Backup. Like a wonder, the phone chose to show the password input (encrypted phone; with sdcard inserted).
After entering the password and some boot-time, the mobile part (SIM-card etc.) chose not to work.
A reboot didn't help and I've got into the annoying problem, that I get a blank black screen with backlight but it boots "normally" (without anything displayed).
It took about 20-30 minutes with trial and error on getting it up with the mobile part again.
BUT: I've found today something new, beside the issue this morning.
Bluetooth seems to be enabled always! It's probably caused by Llama (android app).
Needs also further testing, just wanted to write that somewhere down, so I don't forget.
More details: After disabling it, my "PS3 headset" wanted to pair with "all" devices nearby.
I got pairing messages on the PQ even with disabled BT.

Click to collapse
(If anyone cares) the force reboots are gone after setting preamble to "long" (PQ malfunctioning if set to "short") in the router.
The other problem persists but are not that bad because it happens rarely that I need to reboot (soft reboot is mostly enough).

Screen time out not working

has anyone run across this issue when you set a specific time out, the screen dims after the specified time but does not lock, it stays on?
my phone was working just fine, stock not rooted, took the latest update and after that i've been having nothing but weird issues, the other day the notification area at the top was not working, i had to basically check every app, messages etc manually to see updates, had to factory reset the damn thing, now this screen issue, the phones is only 1 month old.
any input?
thanks
I'm having very weird issues with screen lock. I'm be on the phone and the device will randomly lock and not let me unlock it without restarting the phone.
The new update is when it all started. I don't want to do a factory reset, but it's looking like I might have to?

Bluetooth turns itself off after latest OTA update

Had an OTA update from Sony (32.2.A.0.253) the other day which claimed to fix Bluetooth pairing issues. I charge the phone overnight and every morning it has turned Bluetooth off during the night and I'm unable to turn on without restarting the phone.
Noticed that the settings icon also has a grey stripe in the cog rather than a red one, no idea why!
Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue - if not then I guess it's yet another clean install which I'm trying to avoid as it means resetting bank details yet again!
I have a similar issue, but this has been going on since December 2016. My Bluetooth turns off randomly, no pattern at all. Sometimes it's multiple times a day, sometimes it's once every other day.
The difference is that I can turn it on easily, just by pressing the button. I don't have to restart my phone.
When all this started, I restored my phone to factory settings which didn't do anything. Nonetheless, it's always recommended to do it, just in case.
