I've just recently rooted my Galaxy Note 3 SM-N900T and I've seen several videos on how to change the UI sounds to whatever you want. But I've run into a few problems with doing so. First one is the lock screen one. I changed it to a car lock sound when I lock it, but it still sounds like the factory one. I'm using Root Explorer to do all the changes I'm also renaming them with bak on the end, and I'm rebooting the phone as well so the changes go through. And once it loads up the sound I pick shows it being there, but doesn't play. And the charging sound isn't changing either. I even changed up the boot animation one to a Black Ops Ghosts one and it loaded showing it, but all I got after that was my phone showing the Galaxy Note 3 picture and I had to unroot my phone and re-root it. Can anybody tell me why all this is happening? I really want to make these changes final and have my device work the way I want it. Thanks in advance.

Hello, I am attempting to do something that I didn't think would be that hard and it has ran me into so many problems.
I have the Samsung Galaxy s4 Active. So I now have gained root acess, but I found out I cannot change the boot animation that easily for samsung phones because they use a different something. So I go through the trouble of downloading a ton of crap and making a animation compatible with my phone, set it up, and email it to my device copy paste to system/media and ovverrite existing. Rebooted, Said samsung then custom under it with a unlocked lock. Rebooting ever since does nothing so I gave up with that and decided to look into a mod allowing using basic bootanimation.zip like all other phones, But for Samsung active can't use Clockwork mod or whatever so I gotta get something else called Flash Gordon. When I go to download it on my phone, I get an error. First it says "Connecting to Dl.xda.developers and then it'll say Sorry, this player does not support this type of audio file and I'm at a loss because now my phone will not lock or time out the screen. When I hit the lock button it won't lock. It works fine becuase if I hold it it pulls up turn off and crap. I just made sure in settings that screen timeout is set at 15 sec and it won't timeout already tried reboot for fixing that and it didn't help. I feel like giving up right now..
I have two issues, both of which are very frustrating. I have changed my default keyboard to Smart Keyboard Pro and it keeps the change for a day or two and then it reverts back to the Samsung keyboard. It is not tied to restarts, and I cannot figure out what causes it t suddenly change back.
The second issue is the call log shows everything (including messages) even though I tell it just show "all calls". The issues is kind of the same where I change it and it stays that way for a few days and then reverts back but the tow changes don't even take place together.
Any ideas?

Sounds weird, have you installed a mod recently that may have messed it up? Sometimes doing things to your phone can cause these little issues.
I'd restore a recent backup if you have it, you can try to factory reset also but you'll lose your app and system data.
If that still doesn't work, I'd pull off any files you want to keep and format the internal SD card. It'll return your phone to a very clean state, but you'll also start from scratch.
I also think flashing a custom rom should clear things up. If you find any you're interested in give them a shot. cleanrom, bonestock, and obsessed all are extremely stable roms and as close to stock as you'll get. There are also many other roms that are more heavily modded and themed that you'd enjoy. I think you'd probably like them more than a stock rooted rom anyway.

So a few months ago I posted a thread saying that themer beta does not work on my new galaxy s5. Till this day it still does not work and got no answer on how to fix it. When I select a them it says loading, and all of a sudden the phone turns black. The buttons highlight for about 3 secs and stop. I then completely turn off the phone. After that it starts up without the samsung boot icon and takes me directly to the Verizion boot icon, where it freezes and I have to remove the battery and put it back in. Any help!?!?
It also seems other people are having this problems on other phones like the HTC One M8. They say it's from the new update.

If so, that's probably an issue you need to email the developer about.
Unfortunately its not really related to your device specifically it sounds like, and only the developer of the app can help.

So I recently got my OPO, thinking it'd be delivered with android 5.0.2 cm 12s. Guess what: it came with cm11. Of course I wasnt noticing that at all and I rooted it. Now I'm stuck with 4.4.4 because OTA doesnt work now anymore.
Well, so I just installed a game caller COD:BOZ. It's call of duty black ops zombies which is buyable in the play store. I tried to install it on my new OPO and I launched it. However when i entered the menu all sorts of things went wrong.
It looks like things fall outside my screen. Like the menu just doesnt fit on it. I found that really strange as it worked on several devices:
Samsung galaxy ace plus with 2.3.6
Htc desire 500 with 4.1 or something similar
Even some other devices i cant recall
I tried to turn on the screen buttons instead of the buttons beneath the screen. Didn't make things any better.
However, when I manage to get in a game, things are fine. It's just the menu being messed up.

I just got my son an S21+ and the notification sounds don't work. Ringtones work fine and when I go to the list of ringtones every one previews when I select them, but when I go to the notification sounds, I can choose any one on the list and no sound comes out of the phone. I also copied a notification sound file over from my Note 10+ and it plays it in an external app, but not when I choose it in the list of notification sounds.
System sounds don't seem to work either. When I unlock the screen or plug in the charge cord, it doesn't make any sound either. The only system sound that seems to work are ringtones, and the phone actually rings when I call it.
I searched online and checked everything I found and could possibly think of. Since nothing happens when choosing ANY sounds in the notification sounds list, it seems like some sort of android issue. Do Not Disturb is NOT enabled, and all volumes are maxed out. There are no particular apps muted. I don't know if it's a hardware or software issue, but it seems like that part of the system is just broken. The phone did update to 13 as soon as I set it up, so I have no idea if it worked before that. I did a factory reset, cleared cache, and ran the repair apps from recovery, and it still doesn't work.
Just wanted to post on here an see if anyone had this issue and if so what else it could possibly be before I send the phone back and get something else. It is also a refurbished phone which I guess could have something wrong with it, but almost every phone I have ever owned was a preowned phone and this is the first I have had an issue with. Any info is appreciated.
I realize that this was posted 6 months ago but my phone has the same problem and I would like to know if a fix was found ?
I posted on here and a few other forums and got nothing but crickets. I ended up just returning the phone and buying another one and it worked fine. Did you get the phone like that or was it working fine and then one day it wasn't?
