What is AOKP?
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices.
The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project).
The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release,
and we then add the magical unicorn bytes
(read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.
Why AOKP?
We were waiting for when you'd ask this.
There are a variety of reasons why a hilly billy Android user, on a bright sunny day, would suddenly start using AOKP and loving it.
For one, AOKP is lightweight. Most OEMs provide a heavy UI layer over Android and have loads of bloatware
(i.e. apps that not everyone use every day, but you cannot remove because they're "baked in" by default).
Since AOKP is built upon vanilla Android source, it has neither of the above.
Also AOKP has features that you will not find on your stock firmware.
You can have a multitude of toggles to quickly flip a lot of your phone's settings right at your fingertips, or you can launch apps quickly from any screen using our Ribbons.
You can change almost each and every aspect of the OS,
from its looks to the way it functions, with total freedom.
And did we tell you, AOKP helps you make tacos?
It also has substratum support, just so you know.

Between this and LineageOs Extended, which one do you think is better? Smoother? Nicer at the eyes?
Edit: Well. I've just tested it. It is smooth, but I went back to OctOS because this one has several translations errors in my language. And I didn't like the bright green color the ROM uses.
Great,
Another one...
Unbelievable..
Thank you
it is built again? because it was an old rom

You can change them in the Color Engine settings.
Every device is different. But LineageOS Extended is less complex.
This ROM has the best substratum support.
As not supported as ROMs like ResurrectionRemix, translations may vary. I use English locale anyway (even though I am Turkish).
Thank you so much for your time for testing and valuable feedback!
Letzen what about screenshot? do you make any UI changes on the quick setting for example.

Yeah, I have tried a bunch of other custom rom on my device, however its a pain to backup restore all your data back and then re-install all the apps again. So I was requesting some screenshots or video as a review of rom before trying it.

XenonHD is a custom firmware aka ROM for various Android devices. It is built from Android Open Source Project (AOSP) with additional features, performance and battery life improvements.
The idea behind XenonHD is to give users a ROM that is "blazing fast, rock stable and buttery smooth".
To install this ROM you will need to have a latest custom Recovery such as TWRP
Copy the downloaded ROM to your phone.
Boot into your recovery
Back up your ROM
Enter recovery
Make a full wipe (system, data, cache, dalvik). If you're updating rom or have other 5.1 already you don't need to wipe data (wipe system, cache, dalvik)
Install the ROM
Install GAPPS package
Reboot - and Enjoy

This looks like CypherOS but with a lot more CM14.1 features.
Would love to try
Looking cool. One of my personal favorite ROM since mm days. But wasn't updated. Hope u will always maintain the ROM.:good:
After flashing it and fiddle with it, it really feels like CM14.1 + OMS + Pixel animated navbar.
I love it so far, since i needs some of CM14.1 features that a bit hard to find on other AOSP roms, like home long press action, live display, etc.

About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean. In the early days it was just a one man show on one device, the EVO 3D. Since then, many others have joined the project and it has grown exponentially.
We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours. Big or small, the focus was always on contributing to the community. That is ultimately why we do what we do. After Jelly Bean, we decided to move to a new base, OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting base because it challenged us to see what we could do with a project that had different goals in mind. We learned a lot and again, gain contributors. With Lollipop, we moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. We grew even more and learned a whole lot more.
It has been an awesome learning experience and is still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward. Lastly, we DO NOT accept, nor ask, for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc. We will never ask for a dime. All we do ask, is that you have patience, search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!

Some bugs are still present which are in all nougat roms so bear with us. It will fix once LeEco release Nougat Resources. So before you are writing about bugs , Make sure that bugs are also present in other roms.
I'm not responsible if you get damage your phone by flashing this rom or nor DU team will be.. So Please use it as per your choice.
And Do not ask me to make it OFFICIAL , We have Official other Roms for Le 2. Those who wants Official then flash the offcial Roms. This build is just for giving DU feel and experience at this moment.

Color Engine to theme all your system apps and UI with just a touch.
Comes with Lawnchair, completely customizable Pixel Launcher.
An awesome UI, Venom, has the ability to customize everything.
It also has substratum engine support so you're not limited to Color Engine!
It has Pixel sounds!
It doesn't have LineageOS bloatware so you decide what you're going to use.
It is optimized as a whole, not fragmented. The most seamless experience you can get with a ROM.
How to install ViperOS to Note3 Exynos:
Boot to TWRP by holding down Volume Up + Home + Power keys.
Backup your current setup (System, Data, Boot, Cache)
Wipe > Advanced Wipe > Dalvik Cache + Cache + System + Data.
Install the ZIP file downloaded on your device.
• No camera app is preinstalled. I recommend using Open Camera, available in Play Store.
• Camera server may crash on constant usage. Use Camera Restarter available on Play Store.
• Thumbnail of content captured with stock camera is not shown properly except LineageOS Gallery.
• Some apps may not send captured media.

If I may ask, since this is LineageOS based, does it inherit the camera HAL limitations present on LineageOS ROMs for our N900 (WhatsApp/Snapchat video sharing issue & the "can't connect to camera" bug)?
Thank you for your efforts in bringing new life to our phones :highfive:

If you are installing crDroid on your OnePlus 3/3T for the first time, or coming from another ROM:
**Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery (CWM or TWRP)**
Copy crDroid zip, GApps zip to your device
Boot into Recovery
Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
Flash ROM
Flash GApps
Boot up
NOTE: For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk 20.x (whatever is most recent).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.

Thanks @Dev For bring us another rom for our device!!
this is certainly a wonderful surprise! i'll be flashing this tonight
also curious, do any VOLTE hacks have to be flashed like other Pie ROMs?
I haven't tested VoLTE as I don't have a VoLTE sim, but you can try. Without any hacks
Nice to see a fresh Pie ROM for our device!
Just one question: Weekly or Monthly updates?
Quickly clean flashed this rom. Stock dialer shows random favorites. There's no way to swap HW buttons (at least didn't find it). Titanium backup won't install, so I'm back to Havoc.

Titanium backup works fine here without issues and hw button swap is available under crdroid settings
The rom overall is pretty good, but it still miss the screen-off gestures and battery customizations.

I have this problem too, btw, on LOS 15.1 I haven't it!
Very annoying custom friction of scroll value on this ROM.
Chrome is lagging heavy, device is hot!
ROM builds are nightly, yes.
Random favorites, I have faced this issue on a couple of other PIE ROMs too, so yes, maybe a dialer bug.
No source changes were there yesterday, most probably expect an update today.

Android 10 ofcourse.
Hi @legacy07
First of all, thanks for maintaining official crDroid for this phone. As I also mentioned already on your crDroid Pie thread earlier, I really like this ROM. It is based on LineageOS with added customizations which makes it quite a good combo.
However, most of the Custom ROMs here except for the Official LineageOS and Official ArrowOS, use a Kernel which is heavily deviated from the Linux-Stable one. For example, messing with Refresh Rate of screen or unnecessary overclocks (which I don't think actually work). I am not really a fan of such untested, unnecessary additions.
You seem to be using a relatively stable Kernel which seems to be in-line with Linux-Stable (in your Pie Builds). So, I wanted to know which Kernel are you using for this one? The source isn't mentioned here (at the time of writing this). Further, a source with commit history will be really appreciated.
There is one request of mine. Can you put out a standalone LineageOS or ArrowOS Kernel compiled for your crDroid? It would be helpful for guys like me if you don't want to ship that Kernel by default in your builds.
Once again, thanks for maintain such an Amazing ROM for our device.

Well, I haven't decided whether to continue with the kernel "katnis" which was used in pie builds. I made it just because I found some features I used seem missing in the Arrow kernel. In this initial build, i have used the kernel of lineageos. The future depends on the public opinion of this build, afterwards the source will be updated accordingly.
Will there be support for the "smart bar" of navigation buttons, as in Pie?

Great! I'll switch to the initial build. However, I hope you continue using the ArrowOS Kernel. :good:
I'm facing the same issue that i faced in superior phoenix rom
hello sir, i installed this for 2 days. it is almost perfect except
1. charging speed is slow.
2. add user selectable volte icon.
3. smart charging.
please consider. happy holidays.

Crdroid always comes with a safehouse kernel which never supports smart/fast charging or such bleeding edge features. If you need the feature, change the kernel under your own risk
hello sir,Can add quick LTE toggle function, in quicksetting not
thansk
Found a bug where after some time the network traffic indicator is stuck at some values and does not refreshes even if we turn on and off the internet again.

And Navigation bar visibility toggle state won't remain after reboot.
---------- Post added at 02:06 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:14 PM ----------
I love crDroid but I can't figure out why 6.0 won't boot up if I remove system apps, even though Music, Mail and Browser which I could remove with no problem in 5.9.

Thanks for the info.
But I've tried many times but no luck.
I tried with System App Safe Remover.
Would you tell me how you removed the apps?
