Here u go guys,
The Ofiicial Oreo firmware R16NWG935FXXU2ERD5
- Its a TWRP Backup
- Contains UNTOUCHED System,Baseband and boot image.
Steps:
- Extract zip to your External SD
- Reboot to TWRP
- Wipe system, data, internal sd etc etc (what you do usually when flashing a rom)
- Restore> R16NWG935FXXU2ERD5
- Flash no verity zip
- Flash Magisk
- Flash your Country CSC (Use S8 Port CSC for now)
-Reboot
Download link : https://mega.nz/#!URswBJ5A!ThOBn4u7dZYQGEo6BueKCtL-BS1gqzsLgMWlSaYrJ-c
This is only for people who dont want to wait for official OTA and for Devs who wants to make a ROM now
The official firmware might get uploaded on sammobile after 2-3 days
The backup is untouched so everything is present in this (bloat and useless apps too)
Debloat apps with titanium backup and report back if u face any issues.
Make sure to debloat SecuritylogAgent. It keeps bugging you that unauthorised actions have been detected and stuff lol
If your knox is intact or dont like dumps then follow Rifek's Guide

Your Warranty is void if you install TWRP once in your phone. Installing TWRP changes knox counter to 0x1.
It stays 0x1 even after flashing official firmware later. So dont install TWRP just for this update. Wait for official release!

Flash TWRP Backup then
If u flash Official Odin firmware and update to Oreo U cannot downgrade bootloader! So no more Nougat Firmware flashing.
Also you may not be able to flash your country official firmware via Odin (Bootloader Version Lock).
So play it safe and Use TWRP Backup from this thread.

Oh hey guys My Father have just bough a Galaxy S7 (SM-G9308) Its a chinese model/firmware!
It has the snapdragon 820 SoC
And the firmware is very very bad!
no play store
no Google accounts no play services!!!!!!
What can I do now?
Can I flash the international SM-G930 firmware from samfirmware and flash with odin?
will it work
TIA
Hello, well first , you need to know that the edition G9308 is region specific , it is not a WCDMA but rather a TD-SDMA edition which can only be used with China Mobile operator (that is for the 4G) , and you cannot flash the international firmware on it , look for the firmware specific to your device model only. my suggestion is that you root the device and flash Gapps and get rid of the chinese bloatware. hope that helps.

I stand to correct myself , after doing some research , I think that there is a chance that you could flash the g9300 firmware on your device too, some forums say that it is possible because they have the same hardware. Sorry for my mistake , I answered at first out of safety measures so you don't brick your device. you can try following a guide on how to flash the G9300 firmware on G9308. Cheers.

So you're saying that I can flash the G9300 firmware on my G9308 one! (using odin)
And then It will flash properly!
Then Follow These steps?
1- install CROM _V1.0.4.apk and run for unlock the bootloader.
2-install Samsung-Usb-Driver-v1.5.59.0.
3-install Odin3_v3.10.7
4-flash G9300-PC9-Auto-Root-0403_3 with odin.
5-wipe data partition in TWRP
6-install open_gapps-arm64-6.0-pico-20160329 in TWRP.

Those steps are for root and install of Gapps , but what I am saying is downloading the Entire firmware of G9300 and flash it via odin and it will transform your phone into G9300 (which has multilanguage and Gapps natively installed). (no root needed in this case , just get the G9300 firmware and follow the correct steps to flash it via Odin)
As for the bootloader, I think the chinese edition is unlocked. Check it first.

You could have updated and then re-rooted again by now
Think its possible if you download a pre-rooted rom.
Yes i know the other possibilities, but i don't want to lose my data and install everything again, thats why i want to know if it is possible to update without losing root and wiping. With flashfire it was possible to that on marshmallow but i dont know if it wil work if i update to nougat

I have seen that it is possible with other phones by updating with flashfire but i want to know if it works fine for the s7 too...
Still no solution -_-
I upgrade between nougat firmware using flashfire and just put the SuperSU/Magisk(switched to Magisk recently, both work) zip in the flash chain. So it works. Not sure about marshmallow to nougat though.
Steps to update....?
Would you be so kind as to provide us the steps to updating with stock ROM? I have a rooted S7 with Magisk/TWRP that I would like to update (without losing root) to the latest stock ROM from Samsung.
It would be greatly appreciated!

Note: You still need a PC to flash the bootloader and modem with Odin, but that might not be necessary for smaller updates. This may not work too well coming from MM to Nougat.
In Flashfire, add the AP file only from the ROM. Next, add a HOME_CSC file from your current CSC and make sure it says "Process cache". You can mix HOME_CSC files from any region with newer firmware marked for any other region. Extremely old HOME_CSC files will likely break the newest firmware though. Make sure to turn off EverRoot if you intend to use Magisk, in which case you should add the Magisk zip to the flash chain.(don't use v13 yet). Add any other mods you typically flash here (eg. I have a zip which disables tima in build.prop to keep encryption working) Also make sure "Preserve recovery" is on. Set the device to shutdown when done. (Download mode won't work when booted into by Flashfire. It's a bug) Next boot into download mode and flash the BL and CP files from the firmware package with Odin and reboot. It might boot back into TWRP, in which case just boot into system.
You're awesome, Curtis!
Though I'm still scratching my head: so even though I have Magisk/TWRP already installed on Nougat (to gain root access) and I wish to update with the latest Nougat ROM from Samsung that was just posted on sammobile 2 days ago, am I correct in saying that I would STILL have to install Flashfire and EverRoot for this process to work?
Thank you for your tutelage and patience.
M.

EverRoot injects SuperSU, basically as if by CF AutoRoot. Magisk has it's own rooting solution, which despite being compatible with SuperSU will likely fail safetynet if Supersu is installed. Also I have no idea which order it will flash them in so I can't predict the outcome here...
Basically. If you want SuperSU use EverRoot. If you want Magisk, disable it and use the Magisk zip. Both will grant root access when done.

Bootloader apparently prevents downgrade via Odin, but you can still downgrade via TWRP. You need to flash a custom nougat ROM that includes an older bootloader version.

You can't downgrade the bootloader.
Stock nougat on an Oreo bootloader will cause problems with wifi, data, and possibly lose the IMEI.

I'm a us user as you can see I have volte working and I got Dolby working .
Make sure you have the latest Oreo bootloader installed this so can down grade to Oreo if I want to.
Do not flash pie modems if you do you will have to flash pie bootloader.
If you have a bootloader example
Xxu3 you need flash ap system and bootloader xxs4.
This not for flashing this build but for flashing pie on Odin
Restore.
Restoring with selected EFS damaged original IMEI.... Without is it ok. Thanks!
when I went to install the stock gave error of dm-verify

Depends on what you want to get out of your phone.
I'm rooted so I had to use this canda csc.
For ab+ their no USA build I want have volte.
This csc I flash is done through twrp.
If your stock no root ect and you get what the services you want then go a head and do it.
If you are rooted and want to keep root then I would not.

How do flash it though? I extracted the .zip file but it doesnt have the files to be flashed through Odin. Also I think I should tell you that my phone or rather knoxs tells's me that my phone is rooted but I've already flashed the non-rooted stock rom years ago because I failed when I tried to root my phone before and I don't know how to fix my mistake and gain root. If its not too much to ask, I would like to ask for your help, I would greatly appreciate it.
