Hey there everyone
Its my first time to root
And i have the 905 version lollipop
Any chance someone could direct me to how to root it
And also how to install LineageOS 14.1 | Android 7.1.2 Nougat
I would really appreciate it
Anyone ?
Here you go https://www.android1pro.com/fi/root-install-twrp-galaxy-note-pro-12-2-running-android-lollipop/
Followed this guide yesturday and all went without a hitch. After this installed latest twrp zip and Lineage 14.1 from Valera1978 with nano open gapps. After this SuperSU zip from supersu.com to get root.
Did few tweaks like lcd dpi to 240 and specified resolution to build.prop so that i got 2k youtube working.
Now this old tablet feels like a beast!

Could you please share with me how you found another way? I would like to know what worked for you, all other resources I found said this Samsung Note Pro 12.2 is not possible to get root.
I have not done this since I had an old Droid slide out keyboard phone so I’m trying to get up to speed. I’d love to get all the Verizon crap off this machine. Maybe keep it a few more years!
Thanks!!

Hey guys!
I've recently made a port of LG QuickRemote from LG G3. After a week of testing on our local forum I decided to publish it here.
info:
- all features are working
- ART is supported
- looking pretty good on non-standard dpi
supported ROMs:
- CM11
- Slimkat
- Mahdi
- maybe any other custom rom. OmniROM is not supported (you can only add your own remotes on this rom)
installation:
- flash the zip with the recovery
Many thanks to @RieGo, I'm using his flashable zip's (I just replaced apk's with my own).

Ok, thank you, I'll check it.
Not worked for me too but i changed "setprop ro.build.target_country UK" then it worked fine.
Cool, I might give this a try, QR is the only thing holding me back from using ART, although honestly QR on the G2 is pretty limited.. Narrow beam, and the main remote I'd use (DirecTV) is quite limited.
This way I'll have both I'll let you know how it goes on AOKP.
BTW, if anyone does have to edit the props to make this work, I'd suggest adding it to /data/local.prop not /system/build.prop
Works for TV but doesn't work for set top box (motorola) cm11
ART is supported
OH SH*T, i'm downloading it right now! That was the only thing which I missed on AOSP ROMs, thanks!
For an easy upgrade from the G2 remote, I deleted the LGquickremote.apk from system/apps and installed the zip via recovery. All my device setups from the G2 version carried over. No issues with art either. On latest Mahdi.

it works on 400 dpi that's what I run at always
Hmm, my configurations didn't carry over, but then again, I just flashed the new zip and it cleaned up. Anyway, no biggie I guess. I only had one custom remote and it was only a few buttons for my AV center.
DirecTV works, but I swear there are less buttons.. Like I can NOT find the List or Guide button anywhere!? Nothing to do with this port obviously, but just odd.

Hey mate
Just want to let you know that the new firmware is out for LTE-A version of the galaxy s4 (GT-I9506).
Instruction:
0. If you like, make a backup of your current rom or wipe everything to make a clean install (depends on you)
1. Download latest version from here: Sammobile
2. Extract the file
3. Reboot to download mode (volume down and power together)
4. Make sure all samsung drivers installed
5. Connect phone to pc
6. Download odin3.09
7. Click AP and select the tar.md5 file
8. Let all settings as they are!
9. Hit start and wait
This wont void your warranty because it is an official update! Knox stays 0x0!
Would it be safe to flash this ROM onto the i9505 which I have?
I don't think so

S4 LTE-A was always updated after official S4. So I think this is the last test before actually release it for the international version. So it will be here soon!
Pretty good news!
Did anyone try it?
Does old root method work?
I`m downloading now and will make mirror soon.
Tried the Slovakian version.......and man I'm in love with what Sammy did......drastic changes over the KitKat version, Wifi works, battery life remains the same which i used to get on stock KK......overall the bloatware is really trimmed down
Now just trying to root it......I'm trying to use the guides which users posted for rooting GS5 on Lollipop, hope the similar method works.......fingers crossed

Kernel
I flashed it everything works well. The only thing i dislike is that i find it sometimes not responsive. In the past I had installed Cyanogenmod 12 lollipop and found it more reactive. The only thing that makes me stay on official samsung release is the camera app
that I find good and cant install it on cyanogenmod because of touchwiz needed for it to work.
Is it possible to flash another kernel on it ? I Know Arter97 kernels but it do not support i9506 for the moment.

Of course Not! Different Hardware (S600 vs. S800).
Google said SD permissions will be fixed in L. Quickpic and ES file explorer still require constand root directory directions and its annoying. Fixing the permissions like in KK seems to have fixed the problem.

Thats weird, suppose to work fine with lollipop, anyway you could try flashing previous version :

You need also to flash xposed helper before flashing the framework

Tizen v7.1 works great with my F350K. although its not as good as cloudy for G2 but still good. a few bugs though.
1. Data turned on cannot be disabled until phone is restarted
2. when the phone is restarted, brightness goes to 100%
the rest just works fine. one thing i dont like with this rom is that the icon size is too large in stock launcher dont know how to reduce the size.

I am using it for the last two days too and it works good (I'm on F350L). I find that g3tweaksbox is less compatible though. For example, I can't change the grid size of home with G3TWB which is the most annoying thing for me. There is a G4TWB version out, but needs Lollipop 5.1 and won't install without it.
I used Sphinx V5a before that (still Lollipop) and it worked very well! I used a free G4 theme and it was almost like Tizen. Both ROMs are published on LGviet.com and there is little to no english support. Google Translate is amazing, though!
V4A on Nougat/Oreo
Before starting:
-Make sure you have TWRP!
-Viper4android doesn't seem to work on certain roms, but there should be no problem with the more popular ones and it also works on all AOSP roms.
-Always have a nandroid backup, in case something goes wrong or you just want to uninstall viper4android!
How to install?
1. Download audio_effects.conf file and with a root explorer replace the one in /system/etc
2. Uninstall or Freeze "Sound Alive" (for AOSP "MusicFX") with Titanium Backup.
3. If you have magisk, flash Viper4Android Magisk in recovery. For supersu use regular Viper4Android zip.
(When it asks to install the driver, then just wait.
If seems to be frozen just don't touch it and let it do it's job.)
Enjoy!
thanks. works as it sounds

If you don't have Sound Alive on your rom then just flashing the Viper4android zip should do the trick.
But if you have the annoying Sound Alive, then the procedure is exactly the same, but then flash this zip.

Thank you very much for this! I tried to change the build.prop to the CM one but it caused my phone to crash and I had to restore a nandroid backup from TWRP to make it boot again. I then tried modifying the build.prop to think it was a Samsung device which made the Samsung Gear app get to the next step of the pairing process but then the app would crash.
I uninstalled the Xiaomi EU ROM I was using and replaced it with the official Global ROM and now everything works fine! I tried both the stable ROM and developer ROM from http://en.miui.com/download.html and both work nicely with the Gear!

Thankyou very much for trying this, but that the phone will crash, if you change the whole build.prop should be logical...
And your second experiment shows that it has the right influence with the change to Samsung parameters...
http://ausdroid.net/howto/use-samsung-gear-fit-rooted-android-device/
I guess, that there at least is one other parameter, which has to be changed and EU ROM for example could work as well

I think, it is not related with build. prob. I tested all parameter with working one no results. Official rom is working good, but unofficial one is not working. It can be, there is a missing some files in unofficial rom.

You are right! The build.prop is a dead end. I've just installed a stock ROM on my mobile phone, and guess what?! It works! This ROM is basically the same as the one I had installed before (it's based on the same stock ROM revision).
So maybe I can motivate the creator of the ROM to look for the differences.
Solved xiaomi miui and samsung gear manager issue.
I just got a new mix 2 and been confused of how gear manager doesnt work. Once u click on the app it just closed. Been searching for a week and thought i needed to wait for a global rom or something. At last i came across a solution that works for me. For everyone who are frustrated like me tey the following.
1. Click on the miui version 8 times to enable developer option. (if not sure how to do it, try to google it)
2. Atthe bottom, turn off miui optimization.
3. Restart a.d everything works now.
Hope that helps.
