[KITKAT] Rom For [Spice mi-515]​
Hi
I have seen many people asking for android 4.4(kitkat) rom for spice mi-515
So here is 4.4.2 rom
First and most important thing is that if you dont know what you are doing then please dont flash this rom. I will not be responsible for any phone bricks or blasts silly:
Features
1.Stable rom
2.init.d scripting support
3.kernel-level ROOT
4.busybox inbuilt
5.And many other optimizations
6.ViPER4android FX for sound with walkman app built-in
7.Has a bit touch of cyanogenmod (bootscreen, wallpaper, etc.)
7. Many more features dont remember now....
Bugs
1. Camera doesn't works properly(use night mode for better)
2.Radio is not working
After flashing the rom everything will be in chinese dont panic go to setting and change it to english:victory: also delete all the other chinese apps disable them if cant uninstall to make your phone full english. Use other keyboard apps like swift key as the default will be chinese keyboard.

This ROM was not developed by me it was done by someone from ydss.cn and is known as dodge rom :good:
In the last always have a cwm backup(nandroid backup) before flashing

its the modded one but has looks of stock android

it looks like stock rom but it is modified. Did not experience any battery drain

Friends someone plz tell me how to install this rom on coolpad .m having problem getting usb drivers plz also link driver for this fone . A simple step by step method would be easy to understand. M doing this first time on this fone . I had cynogenmode the sony fone once before.

i looked in the internet and my phone is the same as coolpad 7295 and which is the same as spice mi 515
so can i flash this rom on my phone Idea Ultra?

He just said this one doesn't work. You have been popping up with all these desperate pleas in multiple threads, including a thread that doesn't even go with your device. You have also created multiple threads in different sections asking the same thing. What you have done can be reported to moderators, who will go and close your threads. Viper4Android TW Lollipop Tutorial [UPDATED]

First off, you do this at your own risk and I'm not responsible for any damage to your phone etc etc. Also, thanks to it's ties with Sound Alive, it won't work with the stock music player unfortunately but I have tested it with both Spotify and GoneMad and it works perfectly with both.
I'm using this on AryaMod 3.1, so this should mean the instructions below work on any N9005ZSUGOA5 based Lollipop rom.
1) Download and install DarkQueen Kernel here. Thank @hiepgia.
2) Add the line "setenforce 0" (without the quotes) to the end of the file /sýstem/etc/init.qcom.post_boot.sh. This will ensure a permissive state on boot. Thanks to @hiepgia and @filchi756 for this.
3) Download and install the new Viper4Android 2.3.4.0 here. Run, install the driver.
4) Find and freeze/delete Sound Alive. This being present is bad in particular for Spotify, which will always use Sound Alive in preference to Viper4Android.
Reboot enjoy Viper goodness.
For people who want to use the stock player, see @filchi756 post here
For people running AyraMod V4.0, ignore the above instructions, select DarkQueen kernel via Aroma on install (this will automatically result in permissive SE) and please see @filchi756's modified zip here. Don't forget to thank him.

it works fine like a charm

Unfortunately, it won't work for me... As soon as I flash stock kernel back - wifi is working like a charm again. Tried to do factory reset after flashing this Dark Queen Kernel - it didn't solve the problem.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We have the same situation. .I think we have to wait for google to release the lollipop sources for note3 and wait for someone to make a custom kernel intended for our phone.

Nice one! Could anybody make it work with the stock Samsung Music Player using this tutorial? It seems this app is deeply integrated with SoundAlive, so at least with KK it was impossible to make it work reliably with V4A. But things may have changed with LL...

Yeah, unfortunately it appears to be the same here. I froze Sound Alive to get Viper working with Spotify, but this results in no effects whatsoever with the stock music player. Personally, this doesn't bother me as there are far better players on the market.

What baseband are you on? You have the same phone model as myself and my wifi works fine. I suspect it might be related to your modem/NON-HLOS.

Overall everything works fine except few bugs from the Darkqueen kernel, like brightness changes sometimes when I lock/unlock the phone.

I'm on the newest XEO Lollipop available from sammobile, so the modem version I have is BNL8.

Sir please help us too. I'm using galaxy s4 i9500 with official lollipop installed. we don't have any permissive kernel.

If you're correct and there is no kernel which is either permissive or can be made permissive then Viper is currently unusable on the Exynos variant of the S4. It's currently impossible to use Viper on an enforcing TW ROM.

Gear S3 and MIUI?

I can't get my S3 to pair with my Mi4c on MIUI. It pairs fine on CM14.1 or Resurrection Remix but every time I try to pair on MIUI 8 I get "Download failed. Try again." on Gear Manager instantly. I tried downloading the Gear S plugin & Samsung accessory apps which results in the Gear Manager app crashing when trying to Pair. Anyone got it working in MIUI? Thanks

Thank you very much for this! I tried to change the build.prop to the CM one but it caused my phone to crash and I had to restore a nandroid backup from TWRP to make it boot again. I then tried modifying the build.prop to think it was a Samsung device which made the Samsung Gear app get to the next step of the pairing process but then the app would crash.
I uninstalled the Xiaomi EU ROM I was using and replaced it with the official Global ROM and now everything works fine! I tried both the stable ROM and developer ROM from http://en.miui.com/download.html and both work nicely with the Gear!

Thankyou very much for trying this, but that the phone will crash, if you change the whole build.prop should be logical...
And your second experiment shows that it has the right influence with the change to Samsung parameters...

I guess, that there at least is one other parameter, which has to be changed and EU ROM for example could work as well

I think, it is not related with build. prob. I tested all parameter with working one no results. Official rom is working good, but unofficial one is not working. It can be, there is a missing some files in unofficial rom.

You are right! The build.prop is a dead end. I've just installed a stock ROM on my mobile phone, and guess what?! It works! This ROM is basically the same as the one I had installed before (it's based on the same stock ROM revision).
So maybe I can motivate the creator of the ROM to look for the differences.

I just got a new mix 2 and been confused of how gear manager doesnt work. Once u click on the app it just closed. Been searching for a week and thought i needed to wait for a global rom or something. At last i came across a solution that works for me. For everyone who are frustrated like me tey the following.
1. Click on the miui version 8 times to enable developer option. (if not sure how to do it, try to google it)
2. Atthe bottom, turn off miui optimization.
3. Restart a.d everything works now.
Hope that helps.

You are a hero. This worked to solve the pairing issue with Miui 9 on the mix 2 also.

[Flashable] Ambient Display Gestures for any rom [XiaomiDoze]

So some roms have now started to include this great feature called XiaomiDoze, which pretty much adds handwave, pickup and pocket trigger to ambient display (pulse). Well since only a few roms have it, I decided to make a flashable zip out of this so that it can be used on any rom. So I extracted xiaomidoze.apk from a rom that had it built in, and made a flashable zip. Flash it in twrp and check in settings, you should see another category called "Ambient Display". It works perfectly.

the ambient display is working even when there is no notification. there was a popup when i 1st opened the ambient display telling that doze mode will only turn on when theres a notification but it is always on. any way to disable that?

Not working on my official LineageOS 14.1 note 4 (sd). No option at all.

I flashed it on AOSP 6.0, but didn't find any option in settings

I flashed on AEX 4.5 its working. Thanks dev...
But on taking ph up it has a delay of 1 or 2 sec to on the screen... Is there any way to instantly wake screen.. Its handy to look time..

Same issue here

It is another ambient setting in display tab. U should go up first page on setting, there is an additional ambient display. If you have installed it correctly

Lineage OS 7.1.2 on Xperia Z2, works 10/10, but I'd want the info screen one more time, I didn't get the whole message.

Hi guys!! Whats up. This is Shwetank here from Tech Stuff. Most of you might know me. For the ones who don't know me, please search on YouTube as "Tech Stuff".
This ROM is a port from Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro(Kenzo)'s MiUI 10 V8.7.26 Chinese Alpha. And that's why there are only 5 languages in this ROM including English, Mandarin.......
I want to thank @ycjeson for his various libs to make the ROM run at a very stable condition.
Since this ROM was Chinese, it took me a lot of time to remove all the Chinese Bloatware and add Google Apps in it.
What's Working:---
1) EVERYTHING
Bugs:-----
1) VoLTE is not working VoLTE working in new version. Check here
2) GPS is not very accurate ( I'm working to fix that) ISSUE FIXED
Just Open the compass app and rotate your phone several times in all the directions along its axis. And restart your phone. GPS will work fine.
3) Brightness Issue (Completely dark in lowest level, Not too bright at Highest level. Solution to this issue is using Boot Shell method which can be found on my YouTube Channel.
Just disable auto brightness to get stock ROM like brightness

Yes. It's marshmallow. No SLR camera.
Install it over Android 6. Wipe everything except internal storage> flash it

you can read more about the installation please. Installed the firmware and the system does not boot, just reboots into the recovery. What to do?

Wipe everything and try flashing again.
Because for most of us, this process worked.
If you're stuck at mi logo, then press the power button for 10 seconds to boot again
