Cheers

Yes its possible
see here https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p20-lite/development/huawei-p20-lite-root-t3773875

How to FRP Unlock my Honor 8?

hi
I have a Honor 8 FRD-L09C432B394, rooted latest magisk and twrp.
There is an OTA update, available, on the phone only, not available with HiSuite..
I would like to update, I uninstalled Magisk, But no way to replace twrp with stock recovery with latest Huawey MultiTool V8.
Don't know why but my FRP is locked.
I found some ways to solve it, AAbox2_17.11, or DC Unlocker 2, but I dont understand how it works, and I don't want to brick my phone...
I also found a tutorial to downgrade from Nougat to Marshmallow, this could solved my problem...
Do you have any info? Please.
thanks for your answer, I will try it with huawey tools
Ok, I finally managed to update my firmware to b399...
thanks @Rommco05
But, now, I have a problem with the bluetooth...
I posted another subjet about that :

How to root Honor 6X BLN-L21?

Guys i want to root my device - Honor 6X BLN-L21. how can i do this?
after rooting my device ill be able to update my software ? i have the latest android 7 official update from huawei installed. i havent unlock the bootloader or anything like that.
thank you and soory for my english.
Follow this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-6x/how-to/root-huawei-honor-6x-install-twrp-t3671822
And for obtain your bootloader unlock code, note that the listed procedure is impossible to follow at the moment, because the necessary pages to ask for the code are unavailable on Huawei sites. But you should be able to have a work around thanks to the module available here https://forum.xda-developers.com/ho...cial-request-bootloader-unlock-codes-t3785100
I am resurrecting this thread as I have the **same** issue a year after.
I have recently aquired a BLN-L21 Honor 6x europe, with EMUI 5.0.3
This is the exact ROM version: BLN-L21C432B382
It has been rooted using dc-unlocker, but now I have some problems with rooting (that was my entire objective since start)
Compatible TWRP are scarce, I can only make it work with OpenKirin TWRP 3.1.1.0, linked in the guide above, or EliteTWRP-3.2.1.0, but this one cannot read any internal partitions, so I guess it's not very useful.
As soon as I flash Magisk-19.3.zip the device boots and asks me for a decryption password, that I clearly don't have.
So Flashing Magisk this way makes the terminal useless.
Can anyone suggest me a couple of TWRP + ROM that supports root quite well on this device?
EDIT: ouch, I defeated myself. I just tried to use SuperSU-v.2.82-201705271822 and it works like a charm on stock rom.
I wonder why Magisk makes a mess of the partition

What OS for Mediapad T5?

Hello guys,
I made a big mistake - I bought the Mediapad T5 in the 16GB 2 GB Ram version because I thought this is enough - however, it turns out that their EMUI occupies already 1.6 GB of RAM and therefore, even the keyboard crashes, lots of jerks when playing a video in HD, apps crash it is really a mess;
So the only idea I had (although I am not too familiar with custom ROMS) to replace EMUI by some system which does not occupy too much RAM; So I first was frustrated that the bootloader is naturally locked but I found a solution by downgrading the system and then unlock the bootlader with DC unlocker for around 4$;
Now I think I need to do the following steps:
1. Install TWRP
2. Flash a new OS
3. use TWRP to install a patch called the "low-ram property patcher", see here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...mod-low-ram-property-patcher-android-t3737373
Now in theory it seems easy; TWRP is naturally compatible to my device, right? So I can probably find many explanations how to get it; But then I need to find a new OS compatible for my device which is a problem; I want an OS compatible to my device with not too high RAM consumption; I thought of Lineage 15.1 but only the Mediapad M5, not the Mediapad T5 is supported; So anyone an idea what OS I can choose?
Many thanks
Seems that you need to unlock bootloader with a bought code 25 to 40 $ and I havn´t found any customroms until now...

Hi everyone.
I have a Huawei mediapad T5 AGS2-L09. It has 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory.
I updated the software and a new option in the developers optons emerged:
"OEM Unlocking" - Allow the bootloader to be unlocked
When I turn it on a dialog box pops up with a warning:
"WARNING: Device protection features will not work on this device if this setting is enabled."
You have the option to CANCEL or ENABLE.
This is it, right?
Does anyone know how to root it from here and hopefully has a custom ROM?
The build number: AGS2-L09 8.0.0.222(OCEC432)
Android security patch: September 5, 2019
This option may or may not help. On Xiaomi devices the bootloader can only be unlocked by Xiaomi. The option you see in do is not made by Lenovo I think, it is an Android option. Please check it and try to install TWRP. Afaik Huawei does not allow unlocking...
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO USE ONLY TWRP THAT IS PROOVEN TO WORK WITH YOUR DEVICE!!!!

Because it's Huawei, they don't want your device unlocked and replaced with unsanctioned software so you can remove the Chinese government spyware

Galaxy S8 Downgrade from Pie to Oreo or Nougat

Hi
I've been trying to downgrade my S8 from pie to oreo or nougat and no matter what I flash in odin the device stays at android pie.
My goal is to downgrade to oreo or nougat in order to get access to the OEM Unlock button in the developers menu which is nowhere to be found on the current pie system, from then I'd put TWRP and a custom rom on the phone... if I can get this far.
Thanks for any help

What model is it? Post a screen shot of it in download mode.
You can still root on android 9 ( Pie )
Downgrading is generally not possible due to Bootloader version numbers.
Generally in the past people have used the date method to to get bootloader unlock option in developers option.
There are many guides out there to do with this.
ie:
How to bypass KG State and/or RMM state prenormal
Hello Guys :) I want to tell how to bypass RMM state: prenormal to install TWRP Also this will resolve "Only official binaries are allowed" Disclaimer: I am NOT responsible for any damage done if you use my guide. It worked for me 100% and...

Note: Being on pie unlocking the bootloader in developer menu does not necessary mean that the kg / rmm has change. You can check in download mode.
Backup your device before hand.

As far as a picture goes, here's one of the download mode.
It's a SM-G950W, Canadian model.

I don't own a snapdragon version model and haven't kept up with threads involved with them.
The snapdragon (US) variants U/ U1/ W you cannot unlock you bootloader. So any conventional means of rooting/custom roms can't be done.
If there is any possible way to root your phone check out threads by extreme syndicate, jrkruse usually found in Samsung Galaxy S8 roms, kernels, recoveries & other threads but i don't like your chances of rooting/custom roms your phone on Android 9 ( pie ).

This is the general consensus I have been determining through my queries online that it's either not rootable or will take more skill than I have to do it, it's unfortunate too. The S8 with its original firmware on it is basically a dud to me because I detest samsung's software.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Oh well... Move on.

Question Questions about the lenovo P11 non pro (TB-J606F)

I`ve seen the discussion about ZUI on the chinese models (I bought my unit in Switzerland) and about the chinese version, can one download and flash the global version with ZUI to get some more features back?
And about flashing I only saw a way to unlock the bootloader even with the global version by going to zui website and getting that .img and flash it, but lose the warranty ( ignoring the fact that it's not legal to do so in europe).
The open source package that lenovo has on their website is that a part of it or did they not release updated sources for a11?
Does DSU work with GSI's?
Thank you for reading this and sorry to bother you.
Just an update but a12.1 GSI and a13 GSI both boot on dsu mode going to try and flash them
You have to bootloader unlock, for DSU to boot....12,1 and 13 work fine
Do you have any pen connection support? the power button works?
