hello, i am new to this site i signed up just to ask this question. i have spent so many hours trying to find a way to downgrade / roll back to the previous version of my device, i have tried to download the stock rom and install it that way but it does not work, it just says it cannot install the update and suggests a website for me to download the stock rom from, which i then downloaded to only find out it still gives me the same error message, is there anyway i can downgrade to lollipop(emui 3.1) from marshmallow (emui 4.0). can i flash the files over or something, please help, also i have tried to unlock the bootloader and everything but it wont allow me to do that, also if you are able to help me root the device then i wont need to rollback to a previous version, kingroot and anything similar only was able to root my phone when i was on lollipop ever since i upgraded kingroot wont root my phone, any help is greatly appreciated, thanks
Really HuaweiP8max is unstable on android 6...? So I am not going to update to 6... Really sad

Warning: This is probably gonna be a long post and may have typos.
Now, let's cut to the chase.
I'm currently on my Mate 8 emui.4, I had my phone rooted a while ago with TWRP and SuperSu. After rooting, I had the nougat update and I updated without knowing that it would remove TWRP and my root access. That was not the only problem! I couldn't switch on my Bluetooth. Also I lost the update option from the about phone location. I tried searching it in the search bar and clicking on the update button but, nothing would open up. And.. Yes, it was an official update. I tried to root it with the usual method but, it got me into a bootloop. I tried most TWRP versions but, it didn't seem to work! Either there would be no recovery (just a Black screen with some text) or the options inside the TWRP recovery wouldn't work. So I rerolled back to Mate 8 marshmellow. Now I don't have root, no TWRP or unlocked bootloader. So my question is if I should root my current phone version of emui.4 and be satisfied by it by unlocking bootloader now and rooting it, or update my phone to Mate 8 nougat again? If you're suggesting I update to nougat please provide me with ALL the necessary files and please guide me through. And provide be with the information on what to do in the worst case scenario too.. I've read through the forums but am still quite unsure if i can restore my honor 6x from soft brick. It boots up but i get stuck in rescue mode if i have it charged Or it will just boot-loop if its not plugged in.
Im unable to use the DLOAD method. If i enter fastboot and use the three button method. I get put to the rescue screen. However i may be using the wrong firnware? Possibly.
Its a China version. PE-UL00 given to me from a friend, he said he had restored it to factory settings. So i wanted to upgrade the android kit kat to lollipop version. It was running emui 3. Kitkat 4.42. I believe updated the wrong firmware file through the local update method I download from firmware finder.
Basically from what ive read through the forums would i need to unlock the bootloader and flash stock firmware? . I have the information to acquire the bootloader key i believe and. I have downloaded honor multi tool and huawei multi tool, as well as adb drivers

I downloaded dc unlocker, but it doesn't support the boot loader id for PE-UL00 honor 6x. Im still waiting on huawei for the bootloader code. I think k have to log in for 14 days consecutively? I keep getting that message when I try to unlock.
Also the firmware I tried to update it was PE-UL00C00361 OTA-MF from firmware finder.
I downloaded dc phoenix unlocker. Found the correct stock firmware to the best of my knowledge and the phone back to normal. After I was able to update to marshmallow through system updates.

And for obtain your bootloader unlock code, note that the listed procedure is impossible to follow at the moment, because the necessary pages to ask for the code are unavailable on Huawei sites. I am resurrecting this thread as I have the **same** issue a year after.
I have recently aquired a BLN-L21 Honor 6x europe, with EMUI 5.0.3
This is the exact ROM version: BLN-L21C432B382
It has been rooted using dc-unlocker, but now I have some problems with rooting (that was my entire objective since start)
Compatible TWRP are scarce, I can only make it work with OpenKirin TWRP 3.1.1.0, linked in the guide above, or EliteTWRP-3.2.1.0, but this one cannot read any internal partitions, so I guess it's not very useful.
As soon as I flash Magisk-19.3.zip the device boots and asks me for a decryption password, that I clearly don't have.
So Flashing Magisk this way makes the terminal useless.
Can anyone suggest me a couple of TWRP + ROM that supports root quite well on this device?
EDIT: ouch, I defeated myself. I just tried to use SuperSU-v.2.82-201705271822 and it works like a charm on stock rom.
I wonder why Magisk makes a mess of the partition

Only a lot of confusion reading your posts, sirs. Nobody that is telling if rooting this model is possibile or not. So... can anyone says if it is possibile and how to do that, in a clear and simple manner?

flash UAE version of nb0 if IND doesn't flash, that's Android 7.0 May 2017 Security Patch, unlock and lock bootloader there and apply OTA updates from notification up to latest update. Then follow guide.

oh they deleted it it was before. I have it on PC, but PC can't turn on.

I have tried to upload using OST, and got the same result: stuck at "Reflash service bootloader..."
Is there someone that can help me?

Now, in order to get root, do I have to unlock bootloader first? Can I obtain the code only via a request to the_laser (that didn't answer me) or can I use an online tool ?

you need to unlock bootloader first, and you can PM code i will send you key, use only OTA through notification, don't use OST LA for this guide.

can u tell me the method in which you downgraded Nokia 3 from 8.0 to 7, also were u able to unlock the boot loader and root the device. Waiting for your reply as one of my friend also wanna do the same.
