Introduction
Hey Guys - I'm the developer for FitzyTV. FitzyTV turns your Android phone into a DVR!
With lots of channels supported, including major networks such as ABC, NBC, Fox Primetime, ESPN, FX, Disney Channel, FitzyTV is the perfect choice for a busy schedule - just let it record your favorite shows and play them back whenever you have free time.
Chromecast support lets you cast live TV or your recordings to your big screen.
You must log in with your cable subscription (works with all US Satellite / Cable / OTT providers) to prove you pay for the channels before you can stream / record.
Please ask questions / provide feedback!

How do I log out of the app? I would also like my cable provider logged out.
I made an account with an email different than the one I use for my cable provider (I share the cable bill and my friend pays through his email which I would need to log in to use the cable provider). Will that affect the DVR recordings?

Hey EXV - We don't ever see your cable credentials, we just get a token back. So we don't verify that the email addresses match.

Hey Ron! Do Canadian cable providers participate in the TV Everywhere initiative? Can you link to a few channels that you can do that with? I'll take a look.

i am almost sure most major canadian channels do... i can login with my tv provider to see "ctv go" which provides the canadian ctv channels... tsn and sportsnet do this as well... in fact one provider here named "shaw tv" uses the exact same app as xfinity... the difference being its canadian channels... let me know exactly what you need... i can likely help you out
Any plans to implement PiP or split screen viewing?
If you go to any of the canadian television broadcaster websites, and click the "watch now" or "watch live" button, you'll be taken to their login page where you can enter your cable/ satellite credentials. The major networks are CTV, Global, CityTv (and CBC, which has an alternate credential system). The major cable channels also use the same credential system - Sportsnet and TSN are two examples for sports. If you could adapt the app to work with that system, it would no doubt be incredibly popular among Canadians!
Help with my FitzyTV
Hi Fitzy,
Well, I really want to like you. I even bought a firetv stick (I've been a roku guy for years). I often babysit my granddaughter away from my home and they only have wifi, no pay TV. So I thought I'd take my spectrum cable with me via fitzytv and a firetv stick. I had it working the first day about a week ago, but since then, it take atleast 5 minutes to boot up and then it won't load channels but shows the channel guide. Is it possible that spectrum blocks my transmission since I'm not on my wifi?

Note this a complete solution and it's completely free for individuals.
Currently supports Insteon based lighting and Venstar thermostat.
Android client is on Android market.
General Purpose Web Interface that offers almost the same user experience as the Android client.
It was a hobby project of mine and I would like to share it with anybody for free as long as it's for personal and non-commercial use.
A bit technical information:
Controller is pure C++ and compiles and runs on virtually all platforms including Windows and Linux (and tons of embedded systems).
Administrator tool is a Windows .Net application that remotely configures and manages all your devices and the controller.
Of course plus Android client, it pretty much covers all technology and I waited until everything is perfect to release.
I would say it has unlimited potential in the future. Feel free to use it and recommend it to others if you like it.
Update 12/28/2011
Now the web interface is included. HTTP long poll/server push for extremely low latency two way realtime communication. Pure javascript that runns on virtually any modern web browser.
QWHA is raising the bar of home automation technology.
Update 07/22/2011 - Now SmartLinc 2412N is supported as network PLM. Also one minor bug is fixed. Next major release will add support for timers (sunset/sunrise, periodic, daily, weekly etc), triggers and SMTP transport (sending email, SMS, works with triggers). Stay tuned!
Update 08/01/2011
Version 1.0.11.728
Added scene support
Added support for new version of thermostate with devcat of 05/0E.
Android client updated to support scenes
Improved error logging with unstable PLM communication
Insteon dimmer on-level and ramp support within scene
Replaced dependency of LibXml2 with TinyXml

Still can not post links. Damn!
which of the insteon to PC bridges do you support?
Currently all PLMs. Plan to support 2412N as well.
I just downloaded the app and excited to try it. When setting up my web address, port, name, and password I am getting the following error:
QWRemoteSession.Receive:MsgType 0 not registered
What am I doing wrong?

I apologize, I thought this would communicate directly with my isy99. I already have access to it via a computer and I have tried other Android apps in which I just put in my server address from dyndns with port 443 which is the port set up on my router.

The QW Home Automation doesn't need an ISY99. It directly talks to your PLM and provides connectivity to your android phone.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
I would grab your software being the PC and the android.
Purchase a Insteon PLM
Then I could control X10 devices with my phone?
The reason I ask currently my alarm panel in my house allows me to control a few lights on the outside of my house, but sometimes when I'm outside I either have to find the switch and turn it on or go in the house and use the panel. With my phone I would be able to simply turn them on/off.

Currently it only works with Insteon devices. PLM can control X10 but I need to test it and I'm still waiting for the shipment of the X10 device to start testing.
I'm sure it won't take too long to add and test the X10 support. You can check back my website for future release with X10 support.
Super Excited to watch the development going on here.
Thanks for all the hard work. Pure Awesomesauce right here boys and girls!!
What does this use to control the devices? WiFi/3G data connection? I do not have infrared on my phone so i assume WiFi or?

Thanks for the info. I thought your website said "Future" and I should of caught that, but for some odd reason I guess I was hoping it magically worked. LOL
Yeah I bookmarked your website and I'm sure I'll check it out soon. I'm in the process of doing some wifi extending in my house/garage, but I'd like to start some automation.
Version 1.0.11.728
Now scene is supported. Enjoy
Now a general purpose Web interface is added.
Well if Insteon supports X10, and the PLM is what actually controls everything, shouldn't it just work with x10 automatically?

So far I've been impressed, there's a few bugs but it's certainly worth looking at if you have a need to do remote monitoring of a site on a budget.
The app is well designed and easy to use/follow
Well done!
thanks

We have recently released PlayBak to easily and quickly share your HD videos from your Android device to anyone. Videos over 25mb can be sent to friends, family or your favorite social networks like Facebook, Twitter, etc.
What it Does
Choose any video from your gallery and share it with anyone. Your recipients do not need any special apps. They also will not need to sign up or create any accounts. They will be able to instanly watch your videos in HD (or the same quality you recorded them with). Your friends and family will be able to watch your full length videos on any device including Android, iPhone, iPad, PC or Mac Computer.
Videos are not restricted to the 25mb file limit by most email and text messaging apps.
How it Works
Open your PlayBak app and click the Choose A Video button
Select a video from your gallery
Your video is then prepared and you will then be asked how to send your video

Thanks for your help. going to PM you to see if I can get some more info and figure this out.
I just published an update to the Google Play Store, v1.2. Hopefully this fixes the KitKat bug. Please let me know if this works or not.
Thanks again!
@Saberleo Thanks again for all your help..
So turns out some other "Gallery" apps like "Photos" (Google) might not work if you open your Video first, then share it. But if you open "PlayBak" app first, then click the "Choose A Video" button. Then choose the default "Gallery" app or "Photos" app this will work. Here is our video to better explain how to use it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_SYM03849M
Just published another update (1.3). This should allow you to send the video using any "Gallery" type app like "Photos" app, "QuickPic" app, etc....
New Update
Just published a new update (v1.4) in the Google Play Market.
New Features
Become a Member - Share videos even easier and manage all your shared videos. More member features coming soon.
Guest Account - You can still share your videos easily as a guest without becoming a member
And the people you share your videos with still do not need to be a member or even have the PlayBak app
Please feel free to post your feedback or suggestions here.
Thanks!
Very useful for me... Looks good!
Update version 1.5
Just published a new update with a bug fix - v1.5
Some users were with older devices were not able to "Choose A Video" after clicking on the "Choose A Video" button from the Guest Account. This might be due to device not having any MP4 type videos. Possibly only having .3gp video formats
This should be fixed now.
If you experienced this issue (or any other issue), please let us know so that we can fix it!
Thanks!!

Hello @levuphuong,
I tried your app. It works with my samsung smart TV after setting the device (OnePlus X) as server from settings. After some minutes it showed content in "home" and played it on the TV, although pause and transport didn't work (they showed an "unsupported" notification on the TV).
I was taking a look around for some DLNA implementation on Android, as I wanted to include a "transmit via DLNA" feature in my app; something similar to the Samsung app "smart view" or the "cast" option for media file in my OPX; simply click on the file and share it to the TV.
Black screen and no detecting of media
Appearently at startup the app is searching the lan for dlna servers. During that time there is just nothing like a black screen, and it blocks any other operation on my device. So it looks like the app crashed. It would be better to have a screen with a moving bar which informs about the state of the app. When it comes back after a long time, it discovered a dlna server on another computer in my network. But it does not show media, so nothing to play. There are even no directories for vidro, audio, and pics.
So at the moment not usable. My device is a JiaYu S3 3GB

It would be better to have a screen with a moving bar which informs about the state of the app. When it comes back after a long time, it discovered a dlna server on another computer in my network. But it does not show media, so nothing to play. There are even no directories for vidro, audio, and pics.
So at the moment not usable. My device is a JiaYu S3 3GB

i think that problem happens when you enable your phone as dlna server and return home (it needs time to start server in phone). May be I need to improve it.
And some server show nothing because you didn't add media to that server. Recommend to use Tverisy for PC. it is free and really good.
Thanks
OK, thanks for your answer!

CellMapper is a crowd-sourced cellular tower and coverage mapping service. By contributing data to the website, you can help map actual coverage of cellular networks based on real life conditions.
Once the data is uploaded to the site, it will be used to extract details of individual antennas on each cell phone tower along with the position and technical details of that tower. Likewise, the coverage and signal strength of the network in areas that have been mapped.
Map
You can see all data on our site.
Go to https://www.cellmapper.net/map
How do i Contribute?
To contribute, simply download app from link:
Google Play (Tested Phones here)
Windows 10 Mobile
On Android Application, enable live upload (Settings -> Enable Instant Upload). After you do this, leave CellMapper running in the background during the course of the day. Once data is received, it is almost instantly processed and you can see the results within the app within minutes.
Alternatively, you can use the "Upload Later" (Menu -> Upload and Statistics) option to upload later if you have no coverage or do not want to use data.
Our Privacy Policy here.
Features
Displays low level cellular network information data along with frequency band calculations (for some providers). List currently supported provider here.
Reads cellular frequencies on certain Android 7.0+, Qualcomm based (root), Sony (root), and Samsung devices (root)

Not strictly an app related question, but since I donno where else to ask... is there a way to ALLOW ads only on Cellmapper website, if I am using EasyList?
I do NOT want to allow the same ads on other websites, so removing Google AdShite from the EasyList is not an option
I do want to support this great project, though! Cheers!

If you use Adblock on your browser where you have EasyList, you can add this rule to allow ads:
@@||www.cellmapper.net/$document
No, I just use EasyList via IE11.
I'm a bit confused on interpreting the results on the map. I've been driving around my area mapping my roads but I don't understand how to get the map to display only MY contributed data. I have the "Only show my contributions" checked, but all that seems to do is remove the towers for my chosen provider when I check it. When I uncheck it, the towers show back up. 'm still seeing everyone elses's contribution when I have the button checked however. Am I missing something? If I don't select a provider but still have "Only show my contributions" checked, I see nothing.
Secondly, where is the legend that shows the what the colors mean on the signal trails? I mean, I assume red is bad but what about the different levels of green??
Good if it was adfree

CellMapper Premium is adfree version of CellMapper App: https://www.cellmapper.net/subscribe
With advertisement revenue and Premium subscription we cover our server and maintenance costs. Even us, we do not like advertisement but seems it's only way to cover our hosting costs today.
Does this app also show information on 5G antennas?

Currently CellMapper can record 5G signal strength and quality but it doesn't show 5G towers on map before Standalone network available.
