Photos from the Huawei P20 Pro - Share you fantastic photos from the camera - Huawei P20 Pro Guides, News, & Discussion

This thread is all about sharing your wonderful photos from the Huawei P20 Pro camera.
So have fun snapping.
My main review has a 300 plus photo gallery showcase. All my own photos. It's the last 16 mins of the video. So enjoy.

This is my camera review in which I used all the video and photo modes https://gavinsgadgets.com/2018/04/0...eview-showcase-every-video-photo-mode-tested/
I did a night time/pitch black photo comparison between auto, hand held night mode and pro mode. Interesting comparison along with ISO used and shutter speeds.

I wanna se more need normal pictures and not pitch black [emoji4] Seen many previews the last weeks with Huaweis all too soft picture quality with soften pictures without details. Beautymode pictures of faces even though beautymode is off. My own Mate 10 Pro had too soft quality that looked nice on the small screen but very dull on the computer. Will be getting my P20 Pro next week because in Sweden we always have to wait [emoji4]

Give us a break, I have only just got it and after it was all setup, it just so happened to be getting dark. I did take random shots indoors whilst setting up, and they were great
More shots to follow, if the heavy rain stops!

Thank you Gavin [emoji4] I can’t wait to see more of your work. I am so eager of getting mine as I hope to really replace my iPhone X with the P20. Really need a good dual sim phone as I am tired of lodging around with the iPhone and work Android. But the soft picture quality seen everywhere in preview makes me a little afraid it will not make me satisfied. The night mode will seldom be used so that is not important for me. But overall quality is and the selfie camera seems really really bad

Your photo looks fantastic as always since mate 9. I just got mine few day ago and don't really have time to play around with the camera yet.

Hello,
we have the P20 Pro now too. Are the pictures taken with factory setiings (10MP) or 40MP ?
As i understand you just take photos. P20 Pro will do all the work ?
Thanks

All my photos share are in auto and 10mp resolution , unless I say they are not ?

Here's a few I took earlier today. TBH, I'm not a fan ATM..
Everything seems to be over exposed, you can see the grass green is popping to much etc etc. Some of the zoom images are so bad one would think they've been treated with one of those water colour apps.
I moved from iPhone as I wanted to take better snaps, and the P20 has been pushed as the best camera on a phone out there. How can they advertise such claim when it's so poor.
A water colour
Over exposed
Notice the super amount of noise
Saying this, close up is great.

Some zoom examples. No zoom, 3 x optical and 5 x lossless. Fantastic zoom quality.

Not exactly amazing quality photos but my wife took some photos of a windfarm installation on the shoreline. Just shows how the zoom is.
Uploaded one with and without zoom.

U Ultra Photo Thread

Very few samples of photos taken on the U Ultra. Let's start posting here.
Something interesting I managed to snap this week.
Just a quick shot while walking through the city, hdr was activated
Pics taken with my U Ultra.
Love my HTC.

Low light and HDR shots
A few more taken today. All unedited.
A few more....
Home cooked mushroom risotto with sausage. Roast chicken in Dutch Oven and cream of corn soup.
Under bright conditions
Sunset, night shots
If the resolution of 4096x3072 (12.6 megapixels) is not just interpolated from for instance 4000x3000, then the HTC Ultra is currently the phone that uses the largest camera sensor area: 30.2 mm^2 . That's nearly a 1/2" sensor (30.7 mm^2). Samples from the Pixel only have a resolution of 4048x3036 (12.3 megapixels), therefore the Pixel uses a slightly smaller sensor area of 29.5 mm^2
The HTC U Ultra is currently also the phone with the largest full frame equivalent aperture: Approximately f/10. In theory it has a Galaxy S8 equivalent aperture of f/1.6 and an Iphone 7 equivalent aperture of f/1.4 , so in theory the HTC U Ultra's raw files should have the best low light performance.
All Untouched. Frog and flower shots were cropped.
Digital Zoom
A few more taken today, all untouched - HDR Auto
A few more. Really love the color and exposure, all untouched.
Camera is great ?
Or what ?
Just wanna try it over my mate 9
Worth to try?
Love mine.
Sent from my HTC U Ultra using XDA Labs
From Hua Hin and Bangkok Thailand.
A few more from Bangkok. All unedited.

Galaxy 10e Camera Samples

Didn't have much time today for my 'outdoor session' to try the 10e camera. I took 360 panorama, then I cropped out from the same panorama the next next 3 pics. Not bad.
The next 2 pics taken on my way out. None of these pics were processed in any way, just pure camera eye.

"super night mode" as advertized by Samsung, desperately needed...
Well illuminated building at night and still, not a good pictures, the first one +2/3 up white balance the second pic 'normal auto'.
There is the same subject below taken last fall w/ OP6 - night vision.
....cont'd.
That's OnePlus6, let's hope Samsung will get that night mode right. It should be performing twice as good as OP6, just like the price.
Does anyone have any idea how many megapixels the image is when you switch to "full" mode? the images look better taking up the full screen when showing them on the phone but when I take a picture and post to social media using the standard 4:3 aspect ratio, it appears the images have more/better detail.

4032x1908 - shows in "details" in the Gallery storage.. You get more pic details on your Windows desktop: right click the pic and see it under properties/details.
The original photos are heavily compressed/downsized when posted on the web sites anyways.
Natural colors of early spring
Spring hasn't sprung yet:
No camera updates from Samsung yet, well...
I Llove the cam, specially th macros..

Enjoying the killer camera
10e Night Camera Mode
I posted some pics earlier in this thread (post#5&6) and now I have the same subject taken with night mode to compare:
...and two more, the first two from OnePlus6 taken last fall and the two on the right taken w/S10e just an hour ago:

Macro photos any good?

How are macro photos on the oneplus 7 pro?
i love to shoot up close photos of little animals and more.
Imo it is pretty good. I could of took better pics. The first pic is about 4.6x zoom. If you have adequate lighting and the subjects not moving it will be much easier.

A couple of unimpressive photos to start the ball rolling.
I haven't had a chance to take many pictures yet, but here are a couple....
These are just from a walk so again nothing special, they are as they were off the phone apart from a resize.

that's a very pleasing photo to look at.
Uploaded a few, will continue to add more when I go for more walks https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/10h48O0MWaZrS-MqNKjGx_xVq13spmFtB
Just more Autumn colours, looking forwards to actually going somewhere rather than just a local walk.
A couple of 30X shots, i cannot decide if 30X is remarkable or terrible, framing is also quite difficult on a moving subject. One thing is for sure you aren't going to win any awards using it.
Loving it so far!
Something about those 2 landscape shots isn't right, the contrast and dynamic range is wrong for a Pixel

You're right! I got my P7P the same day I retired my OP7P and had taken those pics with the OP7P.
I'll remove them, I had forgotten that they were the old phone, I've been so excited about my new one.

man, these P7 Pro photos I'm seeing really suck. My OnePlus7 pro takes better photos. I'm almost considering cancelling my order

You already posted something very similar in another thread, so I assume you're trolling and therefore am reporting your post to the moderators.
Also, OnePlus 7 Pro taking better photos? Yeah... press X to doubt.
A very light polluted area. Basically buildings around and streetlights, but you get the idea, if you go far from the light pollution, Milkyway is not a challenge for the Pixel phone.
Or upscaled 2x with TopazAI (Help of the GPU on the PC) and denoise. (2nd file)
Purple amaranth, I think... (Portrait Mode)
