I spent almost a whole day downloading this from a website that throttles download speeds if you're not a premium member or whatever. Lol. And then spent about an hour uploading it to my drive so that I could share it with everyone that has a J727P. Lol. I haven't been able to test it on my phone yet, but this is the Boost variant for the J7 Perx. I did open the archive in 7zip though and all of the files are present. Let me if it works and whatnot.
**EDIT!!**
I removed the link to the Sprint J7 Perx firmware and have added link to download the Boost Firmware. I'm sorry for linking the wrong variant!! I had scoured the internet for the firmware right after the update and didn't test it myself to make sure it was for Boost. The firmware in the link is indeed for Boost Mobile though. Carrier ID/Code is XAS instead of SPR. Sorry again to anyone that my tomfoolery has inconvenienced!!!
*****Correct J727PVPU3ARC2 Firmware For Boost Mobile*****
This link will direct you to the Boost Mobile Firmware for J7 Perx on updato. I don't have an actual ISP atm and get super crappy (super with a cape) upload speeds or I'd personally upload the files to my Google Drive and share them here like I did before. However, to my knowledge; updato doesn't throttle d/l speed, make you pay to have access to faster d/l speeds, or charge you to d/l firmware so you should be able to d/l the files fairly quickly. I use PDANet to tether my data connection to my PC and was able to d/l this firmware in roughly 15-20 minutes give or take. So, hopefully it's a little faster for those of you with an actual ISP! Although, for almost 2GB of files, 15-20 minutes isn't so bad compared to hours when downloaded from another firmware site that throttles d/l speed in order to coerce folks into paying for a premium membership. lol.

I tried this on my phone, and it worked but switched my carrier from Boostmobile to Sprint, do you happen to have the Boostmobile firmware? Or does anybody know how I could switch the carrier back to Boostmobile without losing the latest firmware update? Thanks.

I decided to download the BST (Boostmobile) firmware ARC2 myself from another website, and it is 100% working back to Boost mobile, about to root.
*BTW when I used the file Elaine uploaded, I only used the first 3 files (the BL, AP, CP) not including the CSC file, so Idk if that had anything to do with it. For the BST firmware I did use all 4 files, I don't think this would matter but I am not trying to experiment further with this! lol
Now I have to get good at removing bloat ware without bricking the phone, cause I have soft bricked it like 10 times now. So many crap apps that will mess with phone functionality it isn't funny.

So verr sorry, guy!!!

I AM SO SORRY! I downloaded the firmware I had previously provided right after the update came out and didn't realize that the Carrier ID/Code was SPR instead of XAS. I didn't test it before I shared it because I was just so excited that I had even found it and was able to share it with the xda community for our phones. I have provided a link to download the correct firmware for Boost Mobile in case anyone else needs it or in case you need to download it again for whatever reason in the future. It is in my original post on this thread as an edit. Please accept my utmost sincere apologies!!! If I would have taken the time to check the firmware personally instead of just posting it willy nilly, this would have been prevented and I am truly sorry for that. Thank you for letting me know that it was the Sprint variant instead of the Boost Mobile variant though! I'm very glad you said something so that I was able to post the correct firmware for others to avoid the misfortune that I negligently bestowed upon you. Good luck in your quest to learn more about removing bloatware as well! I'm more of a PC person than a Phone person, so I think that maybe I should stick to PCs and fixing those. Lol. Have a good day!

[Q] Is it possible to rollback epic to dI07 w/o rooting?

Hi guys sorry im new, but i have the di18 update and would like to go back to di07 and update to di18 over the air instead of using the update file which i got from this site because my upload speeds are better but not good. im getting 300kb average with 5 bars of service, and i would like to update over the air and get a legit update..... i am not rooted and would like to stay that way if possible... thank yoU!!!
You don't need root, just odin3 and the right files.
My only suggestion is to do this via Odin. It will take you back to a fully stock phone though, so any apps you have installed will be gone.
Download the DI07 tar file from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=794138
Then download both Odin and the .pit file and follow the instructions from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=773032
thx guys! another dumb ? tho is my kernal stock? the only thing ive done is use the di18 update.zip from this site?
Yes, it should be. Although if your flashing back to DI07, it will fully replace everything anyway (kernel, rom, everything), all you need is the main .tar file (in first link), the .pit file (in second link), and Odin (in second link) to flash them. Although, you could also go directly to DI18 the exact same way withough messing with any updates from the first link.
Just make sure you follow the instructions correctly so you dont end up bricking your phone, as that is always a possibility when doing something like this.
Honestly though, I really dont see the need to go back to DI07 just so you can do an over the air update, as the DI18 update you will get is the exact same one you got from here, and as I said above, there is always a risk (no matter how small) of something going wrong and messing up your phone.
thank you very much, but i got the di18 update from here before it was released and everyone was having trouble getting it, and now it seems my upload speeds are HORRIBLE even tho i have di18 i get like 300-320 kb upload average sometimes lower with 5 bars service? so thinking maybe getting a better update would help or solve watever is wrong ty so much!!!
I used the same Update.zip file to update 3 different Epic's, (my original phone, and two for friends) and they are not experiencing issues with network speed at all, nor did I when I still had my initial phone before I got it exchanged (on an unrelated matter).
How are you judging your upload speeds anyway? The speedtest.net app? Because for me, depending on the server, it will fluctuate between 75 and 900 depending on the time of day and the server location.
im new so it wont let me post links for some reason, could u post the link to the di18 u got from here? the one i got was a very small file and i just seen the new one that was 200+mb and the one i downloaded was from here but not nearly that big so i was thinking maybe it wasnt the full update im not sure what happend but my phone says di18 and if i run 8 speed tests the highest ill get is about 330kb lowest is about 180kb and yea speedtest is what i use thanks again man, but if you can post the link to the one u use ill let u no if its the one i used...it was called update.zip
o and i have di18 so if i use the odin and use the di18 from here will it like reinstall it? or not work at all?
Well, the download in the first link I gave you includes everything for the phone, it will completely wipe everything on the phone and redo it... While the update.zip is just that, and update which only replaces a couple files or so, which is why it is so much smaller.
I believe the one I downloaded was the one from HERE. All I did was rename it to Update.zip and place it in the root of my sd card, then flashed it via recovery.
ok thats the same one i used, i just dont understand why my upload speeds are so horrible with great service, and its not just tonight ihave checked several times due to the fact it bothers me lol but i guess ill keep wat i got so thank you very much you were a HUGE HELP!
I don't know if you know this it not but you can use odin to get your phone to complete DI18 stock.
The thread to download the file is in the sticky in this forum. Then just search for one of the Odin tutorials and just use that latest file.
I've done this with my phone and I have had 0 speed problems. I get 300kbps on barely one bar.

Have you checked you upload speeds on a different phone to compare? Sprint doesn't have the fastest network in the world and that is not too different than the upload speed I am getting. Right now where I am sitting I get 4 bars and my 3g upload speed is 250 kbps.

[Q] Official firmware and Hotfile

Hello,

go to samsung-updates.com and select your tab and download the desired file
there is also a way to download the file from upload.net along with hotfile so you can choose
Tried that but clicking either of the download links for my tab just opens another page of the same thing (and uploading)! I can't believe downloading Samsung firmware is so difficult, it seems nearly all links are Hotfile.
Don't Samsung themselves offer firmware files?
Thanks.

Thanks, found it.
I think at the d/l speeds it might be done by the end of the week!!! Oh well, better than nothing.
Hopefully I'll find a quicker mirror in the meantime.

Well this is turning into a nightmare. Who would think firmware for a Samsung product would be so hard to find. The only one I have managed to download for my Tab 2 is not playing nice with tablet (took 15 hours to d/l). It was the firmware for 4.2, not sure if that is the problem as I had ICS before. Anyway, gone back to Samsung Updates, pretty much every single file is just showing as "uploading" on their mirrors. God know how long that will remain.
I have searched on google since yesterday morning for a firmware file, 99% of them are hosted with Hotfile which is obviously dead. You would think Samsung themselves would make these files available
I picked a good time to decide to unroot my tablet. Figured firmware files would be easy enough to get hold of!!!

Has anyone successfully downgraded Verizon Note Edge to KitKat 4.4.4?

If so, would you mind sharing the procedure? I've tried flashing the 4.4.4 firmware in 3 different computers, with Odin 3.4, 3.7 and 3.9, using several cables and several USB ports, but it always results in a <ID:0/003> FAIL! (Auth) or stuck on aboot. I've done factory reset, wiped cache, turned on debugging. Lollipop sucks the battery harder than a truck stop hooker, and would love to go back to KitKat. Thanks for any help thrown my way.
Not everybody at once, people! That's what I get for buying a phone only 3 other people own. It's OK, I still love you, Edge.
I was able to downgrade as were a few others with Edges. A little searching and you'll find all the answers you're looking for.

Is your Edge from Verizon? I found information for other carriers (which I assumed would be the same procedure, obviously with the right firmware), but since my downgrade failed miserably, I want to know if anyone else with a Verizon Note Edge has been able to downgrade.

Please share this info
Please share on how to roll back to kit kat on the Verizon note edge. I upgraded to lollypop and do not like the battery life and a few other things that have come about because of this upgrade. I have tried using Odin to revert back to 4.4.4 but keep getting a failed message. I would be forever great full if you could please send me or post this information.
Thanks in advance for the help!
If I am ever able, I will. Still stuck with 5.0.1.
Hi gang. FYI... In trying to help MEXICO downgrade his Edge, I sent him a PM with information I thought could be useful for downgrading his Verizon version. Apparently this was something he had already seen and was of no help to him. I have been searching for the tar files for Verizon edge kitkat to no avail. I will continue to research, but at this point I cannot offer any help as I am on AT&T. If I come across something that may be useful, I'll let you know. I encourage you all to also keep searching and share any information you might find. I'm sorry that I'm pretty much useless at this point.
Bootloader TAR File
I have managed to find a sample of the TAR file for the 915F version of the Galaxy Note Edge. I have also been able to find this thread that details what info needs to be made into the TAR file from the downloaded 4.4.4 Verizon Firmware file but I have been unable to create the TAR bootloader file correctly. I keep getting individual files in a TAR and not an MD5 in a TAR. It is a start and hopefully someone with greater knowledge of creating said TAR file can take this info and run with it.
Sample TAR file Thread:

What needs to be in the TAR file:

Here is the place to download the stock firmware:

Hope this is the beginning of something that can work. Please let me know if I can be of further help.

Need stock 6.0+ Firmware for G920P

normally I can just google and find it somewhere but this one is really giving me a hard time. I work on cell phones daily and I believe flashing this via Odin would fix the issue. But I can't find a firmware link thats not going to take 8-12 hours to download.
Does anyone have a faster download for the stock sprint firmware for G920P on 6.0 or above?
Thanks

Try this site, you will need to search for your firmware

[ROM][Odin](Stock PL1) (QI1 linked)Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge SM-J327P

This is the Odin ROM of the PL1 software for the Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge. It was pulled from Smart Switch, which is the replacement to Kies. This is specifically for the SM-J327P for Sprint. It would appear that Boost and Virgin Mobile variants can be flashed as they are used on Sprint's network, but no promises will be made.
By using these files, any user assumes the responsibility for their devices, that they understand how to use the files and software, and accept any and all risks involved with such operations.
When selecting the files in Odin, one must select the appropriate files based on the prefix of the file name. Each of the four boxes must have a file listing.
In the "CSC" box, use the file beginning with "home_CSC" to retain your user data, or use the "CSC" file to completely wipe user data. If you bricked your device, you may need to resort to using the "CSC" file. If you flash with "home" and it still fails to work, use "CSC." (that's my understanding of the two files anyways)
If you are down-grading, you may have to select the "NAND erase all" check box. This will completely wipe the device and should allow a fresh install. Be careful, if the phone dies, I would worry about a hard brick, but I'm not positive about that though.
Google Drive link:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2iEgzRTFjrQWlpEbURIWUlXLWc/view?usp=drivesdk
There have been several reports that these Odin ROMs fail to flash. If that happens to you, you may be able to try an alternate procedure here. Keep in mind this procedure will trip Knox and probably void warranty if you haven't done that already:

The newer QI1 version is posted here, and has been confirmed:

The system ROM is actually about five and a half gigabytes based on the storage info in the device settings (on my device anyways). So here's what I'm thinking makes sense for space required. I'm just gonna round the decompiled ROM up to 6GB to allow room to play with. Here's the space you'll need at a minimum:
1. 6GB for the compiled ROM.
2. 6GB for the decompiled ROM.
3. 6GB minimum for working with the ROM, so that your source is unmodified.
4. 6GB for the recompiled ROM.
So you'd need a minimum of 24 GB to work with, but the more you have, the more breathing room you have. This is just my 2¢... As for the rest of it, I have no real clue.
I just bought the j327p last week and I am returning it today if I can't get the tethering to work.
I tried editing a lot of the easily searchable fixes which there aren't many.
Do you know if installing this might work?
Just obtained this phone from Boost Mobile. Am I correct in thinking that this ROM should work on a Boost Mobile phone seeing as Boost is an MVNO of Sprint?

Actually Wanam got xposed working on our device. Nice tut but its really almost standard issue when dealing with samsung. Im guessing this is your first galaxy phone? Personally done myself on the galaxy s4 sch r970 (ya the one from 2013.. ), j7 j700t and this galaxy emerge 327p, there are also many tutorials on how to do so, thanks for trying to help, but you could have just linked wanams thread wich has all cautions and tuts in like 12 words a HUGE thanks to Wanam for spending countless hours making a modded version of xposed that is compatible with ours as well as many other galaxy devices!!!

In Odin, put each file in the correct section "ex. APxxx goes in AP section."
Use CSCxxx file NOT Home_CSCxxx in CSC section. All data will be lost.
Brick problem will be solved. Let me know if you need a tut created.

If refering to me as this being my first Samsung that would be a negative....mainly all ive dealt with or care to deal with besides a few exceptions ( IOS Not EVER being one of those) After all thesr years of either referring quickly to this site or the last 2 1/2 pouring countless hours learning random device or specific ...usefull or not (* Few times have i bee let downyet its been an occurance.. worth noting) I belived it was time to throw my hat inthe ring.
So mainly besides wanting to recontribute the resources I have.....mostly my hours of studying and stuff i picked up retentetion being put work and the test and the Love of Working in A Linux Terminal
(*Flavor preference is not important.)
And the Fact that I have a Laptop that can process at about 3.7ghz with 8 threads if you include hyperthreading...along with my growing older and not wanting to Let small contributions like that and Development left saught after by the few.....and honestly which matters in some places I am only scraping by so Financially I have nothing to offer the community along with Tha Mad Love I have for everything XDA ....put that together and you got me doing what I can..Lately it hasnt been to much but wait around and other issues that have eaten away at time leaving me unable to do simple things such as deodex......tho I was looking to do it the hard way and by hand..
My apologizies if the post after mine answered or the second one did but I have yet to read link .....so besides me knowing Wanam got a way around it for most the Install and Stuff
My true and Last Attempt at my first Question
FINGERS CROSSED
LONG
Would there be any necessity in the terms of Modular Functionality either individual or a compilation of your choosing and or combination that would specifically require you to deodex the firmware of any 5.0 or Higher Samsung Based Firmware so that one might have a higher sucess rate or all around better experince?
SHORT
Should i spend my time deodexing this rom for the few who have it in attempts to better the end user experience , spend my time else ?
Id like a little bit of step i the right direction but might just do it and then move to more time , intelectually and pc resource consuming work....

this did get my boost samsung j3 emerge working again but the problem is no matter what i do i can not get it to pass the safety net test :/ the software version is also different from the stock version
this version:j327pvpu1apl1
stock version:J327PVPU0APJ2
am i correct in assuming that this could be my safety net issue? and if so can anyone help point me in the right direction to the stock boost firmware? ill be searching for it regardless but if i can get help before i find it then that'd be super thanks for asking

Are you rooted? Or running a custom kernel? Both of those things and a few others will cause you to fail. Another option would be to select NAND erase in ODIN when you flash. That will completely wipe your device before flashing, but as with any flashing procedures, it could lead to an unusable device.

I was rooted with super su but after failing safety net I began searching for a a way around it and i successfully unrooted my phone then re rooted with magisk and passed the safety net test yay! And life was good for a while until I to install xposed framework. I made a super noob mistake and flashed it with a low battery percentage and of course it died in the middle of it. I turned my phone on and no OS... Crap baskets... noob mistake number 2 my nandroid backup I must not have been paying attention and tried to save it to internal storage instead of the SD card which if you own this phone you probably know that it doesn't work that way so double crap baskets.
Fast forward to finding this post I loaded it up everything works as it should but it won't pass safety net rooted or not and no custom kernel
This is not a life or death problem as everything works flawlessly except for the safety net test But my woman likes to go on walks and play Pokémon go together and now I can't and it is slightly annoying that we are no longer able to. It's a cheap way to get outside and have a little fun towards the end of the week as opposed to Netflix and other boring stuff

Hmm. I do know that you need to enable "oem unlock" and power the phone COMPLETELY off. It doesn't hurt to pull the battery for a minute, but shouldn't be necessary. Then power it on into download mode, and leave the auto reset checked in ODIN. It can take a couple of flashes I've read to get everything back to where it should be.
