normally I can just google and find it somewhere but this one is really giving me a hard time. I work on cell phones daily and I believe flashing this via Odin would fix the issue. But I can't find a firmware link thats not going to take 8-12 hours to download.
Does anyone have a faster download for the stock sprint firmware for G920P on 6.0 or above?
Thanks

Hi there,
Long time lurker, first time poster and overall Newb.
I was wondering if anyone could please provide concise instructions on How to restore my phone to stock Galaxy 3 2.2 Firmware.
I have it Rooted (via super one click), OC3 Mod 2.6.32.9 and Kyorarom Infinity (v0.4.1 JPU) currently and am having major issues with stability.
Yet How can I restore it to Factory so that Kies recognises it?
Ive tried the hard reset with the button pressing but it just loops back to oc3 mod. Do i need to "unflash" it somehow or reflash it to a base package?
Please Help.
Regards
Take a look at the stock ROMs here & download suitable one for your region.
BTW, you should have posted in the Q&A subforum.
Yep cheers, ill give that a crack, and copy that on posting elsewhere. tyvm
Hi guys. The link provided above seems to be broken, well the links embedded in them are broken. Can anyone advise me, which stock firmware i need for a Samsung Galaxy 3 bought in New Zealand, and provide an active link?
Thanks a bunch
look over here
Is there a way to tell, which firmware i need as stock from the above link, by looking at my phone physically? Or checking somewhere in settings? Im guessing its region should be North America...
physically theres no chance given
just use the settings -> scroll down -> telephone info
you see the versions here

flashing any of these will allow you to connect to KIES, that will tell you if you need another version

KIES:
in my former days I had the thought that KIES is really necessary and tried a lot of eclair FW versions from the link above (samfirmware), but none of them established a succesful connection with KIES.
Therefore I upgraded manually with ODIN and uninstalled KIES.
I dont miss a thing until now.
Good luck in finding a fw which connects with KIES.
I read anywhere that XXJG1 or XXJG7 is one the rare fw which could establish a KIES connection. Maybe I am wrong...
A feedback from anyone which of the fw versions can connect to KIES would be very helpfulin this topic.
Cheers

First post, and I'm sure you get this alot but I truly am sorry if this is something that's asked 20 times a day. I've spent a good bit of time searching this site and the www but can't seem to find something that addresses this specifically.
I bought a new LG Nitro from att, flashed it to ICS. Now I want to return the phone as I'm still inside my 30 days. I'm assuming I'd be better off putting Gingerbread back on it, but can't figure out how. What's the best way to do this?
Thanks again
Also, if anyone happens to know if At&t doesn't mind accepting returned phones after they've been flashed then let me know! (their return policy doesn't say anything about it)
Did you flash it by Odin or with the official Update Software brought to you by LG?
If you took Odin you really shouldnt send it back to your provider cus they might recognize that you flashed the sw.
You can downgrade your FW:
Download the Gingerbread Stock Rom you want to flash ( search in the internet or in xda )
Flash it via Odin (If you dont know how to do this --> search in the xda )
Hope I could help you =)

can u please tell us how to flash with odin? i got stock v20c, i can go back to v18f?
Hi,
I was having wifi issues after flashing multiple stock roms, and kernels. So, in a fit, I decided to repartition and start fresh. I know, it wasn't my brightest moment. Any way, the thing is, all the roms that I have, comes with only the pda file.
Now, I need any stock firmware with modem and csc files, so that I can get my phone back. Any firmware that comes with these two files will do. I can't download multiple firmware to check as my connection speed is 256 kbps only. I would prefer if someone can help me get these files.
Also, if someone can tell me, whether I will need a new bootloader too? If yes, then where can I find the same.
Many thanks!!!
XXKPE comes with all the files. Use that.

Thanks a lot, buddy. Will download it and check it out. Hopefully wifi works after this, or else I will be screwed. Just got my warranty expired too.
Yay! My phone is back to stock, and wifi works too.:victory: Mods, please close this thread.
I have looked all over the internet to find the stock firmware for the LGMS631 MetroPCS version and have found absolutely nothing. Every download is gone from XDA, LG's official website, and MetroPCS. If anybody has a copy of the stock firmware or even a twrp backup of this phone and can post it, it would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. If anybody can post it I would make sure that it is available on a download site that won't shut down or delete the file as every download for this phone has been wiped from existence.

Bro, I found this link to download a LP firmware version ms63110i. You have to register for free to access it I'm DL it now and going to flash down from 6.0 and pray it works and not hard-brick. MM jacks the SD card usage and I'm sick of google freaking with it. Google is the devil.

I also have on my hd ms63110d and latest MM ms63120p. I haven't used them so I have no idea if they're good, although no real reason not to be.
If any one has a copy of the new firmware file for the update to J727PVPU3ARC2 can you please upload it an post a link !

I spent almost a whole day downloading this from a website that throttles download speeds if you're not a premium member or whatever. Lol. And then spent about an hour uploading it to my drive so that I could share it with everyone that has a J727P. Lol. I haven't been able to test it on my phone yet, but this is the Boost variant for the J7 Perx. I did open the archive in 7zip though and all of the files are present. Let me if it works and whatnot.
**EDIT!!**
I removed the link to the Sprint J7 Perx firmware and have added link to download the Boost Firmware. I'm sorry for linking the wrong variant!! I had scoured the internet for the firmware right after the update and didn't test it myself to make sure it was for Boost. The firmware in the link is indeed for Boost Mobile though. Carrier ID/Code is XAS instead of SPR. Sorry again to anyone that my tomfoolery has inconvenienced!!!
*****Correct J727PVPU3ARC2 Firmware For Boost Mobile*****
This link will direct you to the Boost Mobile Firmware for J7 Perx on updato. I don't have an actual ISP atm and get super crappy (super with a cape) upload speeds or I'd personally upload the files to my Google Drive and share them here like I did before. However, to my knowledge; updato doesn't throttle d/l speed, make you pay to have access to faster d/l speeds, or charge you to d/l firmware so you should be able to d/l the files fairly quickly. I use PDANet to tether my data connection to my PC and was able to d/l this firmware in roughly 15-20 minutes give or take. So, hopefully it's a little faster for those of you with an actual ISP! Although, for almost 2GB of files, 15-20 minutes isn't so bad compared to hours when downloaded from another firmware site that throttles d/l speed in order to coerce folks into paying for a premium membership. lol.

I tried this on my phone, and it worked but switched my carrier from Boostmobile to Sprint, do you happen to have the Boostmobile firmware? Or does anybody know how I could switch the carrier back to Boostmobile without losing the latest firmware update? Thanks.
I decided to download the BST (Boostmobile) firmware ARC2 myself from another website, and it is 100% working back to Boost mobile, about to root.
*BTW when I used the file Elaine uploaded, I only used the first 3 files (the BL, AP, CP) not including the CSC file, so Idk if that had anything to do with it. For the BST firmware I did use all 4 files, I don't think this would matter but I am not trying to experiment further with this! lol
Now I have to get good at removing bloat ware without bricking the phone, cause I have soft bricked it like 10 times now. So many crap apps that will mess with phone functionality it isn't funny.
So verr sorry, guy!!!

I AM SO SORRY! I downloaded the firmware I had previously provided right after the update came out and didn't realize that the Carrier ID/Code was SPR instead of XAS. I didn't test it before I shared it because I was just so excited that I had even found it and was able to share it with the xda community for our phones. I have provided a link to download the correct firmware for Boost Mobile in case anyone else needs it or in case you need to download it again for whatever reason in the future. It is in my original post on this thread as an edit. Please accept my utmost sincere apologies!!! If I would have taken the time to check the firmware personally instead of just posting it willy nilly, this would have been prevented and I am truly sorry for that. Thank you for letting me know that it was the Sprint variant instead of the Boost Mobile variant though! I'm very glad you said something so that I was able to post the correct firmware for others to avoid the misfortune that I negligently bestowed upon you. Good luck in your quest to learn more about removing bloatware as well! I'm more of a PC person than a Phone person, so I think that maybe I should stick to PCs and fixing those. Lol. Have a good day!
