So i have a subscription to something called Gaia and they have an app from which you can access all their content. They have an option to download their videos but i want to move to the downloaded video to the external SD card. But after going through all the files (with root permission) I can't find the video... What else should I do?

I have several videos on my external SD card and can open and see them with Gallery>Stock Player, but not anything else. The stock player plays the vids, but because of the format they play choppy. I tried using Rockplayer free to play them but each time I tried it said it could not open the file. This was done using Gallery and selecting default app to play vids. On Rockplayer itself, it does not detect the external SD card or the external media.
Anyone figure a way around this? Or is this still a work in progress?
Go into options on Rockplayer and change the root directory to "/" or "/mnt". Then you will find "..", select it and work you way over to sdcard2. Also set the option to show all files, not just media. Rockplayer will play more than it would suggest by what it shows.

THis is probably a stupid question, but where do you put videos on the sd card? I tried making a videos folder and it says file not supported... Can you not put videos on off computer?
hi all,
Just a small guide on a way i found out to save videos that your friends have uploaded to instagram. Take care that you need to have viewed them atleast once or you might have to view them once before you save them as they are saved in a cache file.
To save videos off instagram on android here is an easy way that i found out :
1. Use any good file explorer like ES file explorer.
2. go to your SDCARD > Android > Data
3. Search for a folder named "Com.Instagram.Android"
4. Inside it you will find a folder called "Cache"
5. Inside this you will find another folder called "video"
6. you will find all videos that your friends have uploaded and have been viewed over here.
the filename will be something like abc12kl.0
7. copy these files anywhere safe on your sd card or external sd card...
8. rename the extension ".0" to ".mp4"
that's it..you can play these videos with any player that plays mp4 files.
enjoy! :cyclops:

Re: Saving videos from private accounts
What if you're a follower on a private account. Is it possible to save videos from that account?

I also found a trick to download Instagram photo and videos. Just put the link to GramKeep and then you can directly download photo and video from Instagram!
I've got a rooted Galaxy S5, SM-G900A. I'm on kitkat, but I used sd fix and it tells me my sd is fixed. Well, heres my problem. I use es file explorer, and I have no trouble transfering photos or other documents, including both apk and exe files from the internal storage to the sd card. But some mp4 videos do not transfer correctly. Some will no longer play after the transfer, others will only play part of the video before getting the message "cannot play this video". Like I said, it is only some mp4's. Ive tried using a computer to do the swap, and even rom toolbox pro. Still the same. On occasion a vid that was transfered but stops playing near the end, after trying again, it just doesn't play. The sd seems to be working great. I was able to transfer apps using app2sd, and they work great also. Has anyone had this odd problem, or know how to fix it. The videos on the sd play all the way through. And the videos that won't transfer play great from the internal storage. So, who here is a genius. I need your help. Thanks in advance.
hi all,
i installed an app named folder lock advanced from google play store to secure my media files. after installing it i added my media files in it after which it got encrypted and i was able to access my files only through that app...it was all good.
but the issue i have is that...when i first installed it and started adding my videos it added only few of them and left the rest...so i uninstalled it at once and reinstalled it again.
when i uninstalled it the video files which added at first got encrypted while the others weren't.
i reinstalled the app again and added media files again and this time the remaining videos only got added to it...the encrypted videos were left out...
i looked in some forums on how to run encrypted video files and renamed the file with .mp4 extension/ .3gpp extension and tried to run the file...but my video player says " cant run the file".
since i got pissed off real bad because of this chaos...i uninstalled the app again...now all my video files are encrypted because of it...i cant run the video file even if i rename it with an extension of mp4/3gpp.
In my SD card i got a folder named Folder Lock Advanced in which there are two sub folders. one folder has thumbnails of all the videos while the other had the videos in encrypted format.
please help me to fix this issue.
thanks in advance !:fingers-crossed:
