THis is probably a stupid question, but where do you put videos on the sd card? I tried making a videos folder and it says file not supported... Can you not put videos on off computer?

Obviously, root folders on external SD card, but where on the Internal? There's a media folder in there, do they belong there? Or on the root of the internal?
Basically my external card is filled with music so I need to put photos/vids on my internal card.
Kies put photos and movies under DCIM folder: movie subfolder for video; camera subfolder for photos. So, you can put your files there. It really doesn't matter too much as the Gallery app searches everywhere.
So i have a droid 2 global and everytime i try to save music on the sd card it disappears. I tried copy and pasting, doubletwist app, and now easy phone tunes. and it still does not show anything on the sd card. whats wrong?
Make sure there is no .nomedia flags in the folder you are saving your music.
Clarification: .nomedia is an empty file you put in a folder that you want to be ignored for scanning for media content. If such file is present, player will skip this location

the filetype might not be able to play in the media player (depending on media player) have you considered this? I know I use mostly mp3 but if you have AAC(apple conversion) or another it might not play.
fake sd cards
Are you using the original sd card?
hi guys! i have a few issues regarding my GTab 7.0 plus P6200 ver.
i just bought it yesterday + a 32gb class 4 sd card. i installed Samsung Kies and then my pc detected my GTab. I opened the sd card folder and started copying movies and music and the copying is succesfull to the SD CARD. I also copied photos to the GTab's internal memory and it went well..
heres the problem, when i open my GTab default GALLERY application i cant see the pictures i put to the internal memory. also i opened the default video and music player and i cant see also the video and music's i put on the SD card. BUT, i can see the pictures, videos and listen to the musics using the MY FILES application.
Take note that this is out-of-the-box unit, never been rooted.
What maybe the problem is?
i just use the traditional copy-paste method in transferring the files BUT with the SAMSUNG SKIES installed.
I'm having an annoying problem. I downloaded all the videos I've purchased through Xbox Video to my desktop computer, and want to transfer them to my Surface. I've done this via a Micro SD card, but for some reason, none of them are showing up in the Xbox Video app on my Surface. They're all in the Videos library, under the correct file structure with the correct file names, but for some reason they're not listed.
I renamed one of the videos to [vidoeo-file-name]-desktop.wmv, re-downloaded the same video on my Surface, and it showed up with the exact same file size and properties as my old video, but I can play that video in Xbox Video just fine.
I tried copying my entire Xbox Video folder from my desktop's AppData to my Surface's AppData, and the videos still aren't showing up, but the one I re-downloaded still shows up.
I'm thinking there must be some database somewhere on the machine that tells Xbox Video what videos have been downloaded. Does anyone have an idea on where I could look for that file? Even if it's not editable, I could just copy over the file from my desktop to my Surface, and it should fix it.
Thanks.

That's not the problem, I've already used the NTFS mounted folder method to get the SD card mapped to the Video library. Files from Xbox Video correctly download to the card, and files on the card correctly show up in the Videos library. But for some reason, my shows aren't available offline, even though I have the files with the correct paths in Videos library. That leads me to believe there must be a database of downloaded files somewhere on the device, and it just doesn't "see" the files that where transferred from another device.
So i have a subscription to something called Gaia and they have an app from which you can access all their content. They have an option to download their videos but i want to move to the downloaded video to the external SD card. But after going through all the files (with root permission) I can't find the video... What else should I do?
