[Q]movies, music, sd card's - Samsung Galaxy Tab Plus

hi guys! i have a few issues regarding my GTab 7.0 plus P6200 ver.
i just bought it yesterday + a 32gb class 4 sd card. i installed Samsung Kies and then my pc detected my GTab. I opened the sd card folder and started copying movies and music and the copying is succesfull to the SD CARD. I also copied photos to the GTab's internal memory and it went well..
heres the problem, when i open my GTab default GALLERY application i cant see the pictures i put to the internal memory. also i opened the default video and music player and i cant see also the video and music's i put on the SD card. BUT, i can see the pictures, videos and listen to the musics using the MY FILES application.
Take note that this is out-of-the-box unit, never been rooted.
What maybe the problem is?
i just use the traditional copy-paste method in transferring the files BUT with the SAMSUNG SKIES installed.

Music on both Internal and External SD card

Hello,
I searched around a bit and am seriously confused about the differences between the internal and external sd cards on my new captivate.
I have music on both the internal and my 8gb sd card.
When I put the sd card in the phone it mounts the external card and scans for media. At this point I can only see music on the external card. If I unmount the external sd card i can see the music on the internal sd card.
To test this with video as well (and to see if I was nuts) I placed a single video file (different files) on both the 8gb sd card and the internal sd card. I put the sd card in the device. At this point the video player could only see the video file on the external 8gb card and not the one on the internal sd card. I then unmounted the external sd card and the video player could only see the file on the internal sd card and not the file on the external 8gb card.
The same thing seems to be happening with the Astro sd card browser. With the external card mounted the /sd folder shows the folders on my external sd card. With the external sd card unmounted, the /sd folder shows folders I have created on the internal sd card.
Am I doing something wrong or can the device only see one card at a time?
Sorry for the long post, but I wanted to give as much detail as possible.
Thanks for any insight anyone might provide as this is driving me nuts.
this is a really good question, i dont believe its been answered yet. Do other droids integrate their dual micro sd cards so they interact seamlessly? Do other droid devices even have more than one micro sd card?
i dont think droid's have more then one and its probably just a software problem
by droids i mean general android devices, just to clear that up.
Mine is showing music in the music player from both my internal memory card and my external 16gb card that I got today.
*edit* Just in case it matters, I'm using doubletwist to put the music on my phone.
oh general android phones i thought you meant the droids (like eris and incredible) well then it should works on my friends g1
Well, looks like I spoke too soon. Yesterday when I tested this I had just received my SD card in the mail and popped it in to test it out for this thread. I had around 6gb of music on my internal sd card and put a few cds on my external sd card and everything worked fine. However, now that I have attempted to put all of my music on the phone (a little over 18gb) it won't read all of it. When I try to sort by artist in the music player it tells me there isn't room in the music database. Does anybody know how to get that much music on there? Help please.
*update*
After some research, it is apparent that this is a problem with the Samsung music player. I am now using tunewiki, which I like. It is a bit of a shame though, since I really liked the interface of the samsung music player. Oh well, perhaps they will fix the flaw in an update in the future. If not, tunewiki works fine for me.
Music problem
ive had and 4gb an 8bg and now a 32gb sd card and have always had problems getting either the stock music player or winamp to recognize all of my music ...its an on going pain in the ass. i also read somewhere the android does not support m4a ??? i can access ALL of my music from root explorer in almost any format...but no music player will read all of it.....only if selected thru root explorer..its def a software issue..
32gb sd card. Music found, not after update
AT&T pushed an update and since then (or since some other incidental app install) my rooted Captivate no longer shows music (about 12gb worth) on the external SD card with *any* music player. The files show in Root Explorer.
When I use Meridian Media Player and manually navigate to a file and play it, that file will then list in other media players.
This hints at a database problem. The media scanner is not scanning the external SD card. I did not edit any tags on any files, but there is certainly a random assortment of crap accumulated over a long period. Still, ZERO files are found on the external SD card.
I have about 16GB of music split between my internal and external SD card. The stock music player recognizes all of it fine, though I do experience the notorious "Not enough space in music database" issue when sorting by Artist. Luckily, there's the Winamp app for that.
PowerAmp seems to deal just fine with my music split between the builtin SD and my 32gb SD. Not a single issue has cropped up. It all just appears as one big library.

[Q] Google Play Music won't recognize music on SD card

How do I play music stored on SD card with Play Music?
The card was empty when I first inserted it in my phone. Android then put it's files in the SD card normally. I plugged my phone into my PC; I can see Android's folders in the Windows file explorer. I made a new folder labeled "Music" and copied my music into it. Google Play Music does not recognize anything on the SD card, only internally stored music. But my system music player sees the SD card just fine. The card is FAT32 formatted, if that does anything.
Anyone help?
Huawei Ascend Y300-0151
Same issue here. Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx HD. 64gb FAT32 microSD. Android 4.1.2. Google Play Music v5.2.1301L.891271. Android sees music... Other apps do too. But not Play. Any ideas?

[Q] Weird MP3 Issue

I have the weirdest MP3 issues. I buy all my MP3 (yes I buy my music) from Amazon MP3 app. I move all the files from the amazon mp3 folder on the internal card into the Music folder on my SD card.
Any music player I use finds the songs without issue, even the Amazon MP3 app. My typical app is the Samsung Music app. All the songs I move it finds without issue. If I don't move the files, it'll find them inside the amazon_mp3 folder on the internal card where Amazon downloads them to.
It works flawlessly. Except for the following issue. If I move this one Album (Lorde - Pure Heroin) to the external card, it isn't found by any music app. But if I leave it in the original Amazon folder it can be found without issue. It only seems to happen to this one album. I can't understand what is the deal. I move all my other downloaded MP3 from the internal card to the external card and they are all found.
I have a Galaxy S4 Tmobile.
Any ideas?

Trouble transfering some mp4 videos, but not all. Weird.

I've got a rooted Galaxy S5, SM-G900A. I'm on kitkat, but I used sd fix and it tells me my sd is fixed. Well, heres my problem. I use es file explorer, and I have no trouble transfering photos or other documents, including both apk and exe files from the internal storage to the sd card. But some mp4 videos do not transfer correctly. Some will no longer play after the transfer, others will only play part of the video before getting the message "cannot play this video". Like I said, it is only some mp4's. Ive tried using a computer to do the swap, and even rom toolbox pro. Still the same. On occasion a vid that was transfered but stops playing near the end, after trying again, it just doesn't play. The sd seems to be working great. I was able to transfer apps using app2sd, and they work great also. Has anyone had this odd problem, or know how to fix it. The videos on the sd play all the way through. And the videos that won't transfer play great from the internal storage. So, who here is a genius. I need your help. Thanks in advance.

File Manager issue "seeing" files, but not "Categorizing" them

IT FIXED ITSELF. Don't ask me how but I just booted the 700, open FM (file manger) and low and behold all the files on the microSD are showing in the category section ! ! !
TF700 on 7.1.2_27, using Asus File Manager v2.0.0.397_180123.
Ok here's what it's doing, I can use the file manger fine to browse the microSD card, but none of the file are showing in the "Category" section and the are in the correct folder (ie. music, pictures, ect.). I have scanned the microSD card for .nomedia and none were found. Also when I copied some songs to the music folder on the internal storage they show up in the category bubble for Music. Also because file manager doesn't categorized the media file on the microSD card correctly, Gallery and my music player do not show the files, but they will open and play music is I select individual files using the file manager.
Another thing, everything was working fine, it wasn't until after I copied a few songs from my cloud to the microSD via PC, reinserted the microSD in the TF700 that this problem started.
