Samsung has told that all the phones Samsung Galaxy will be updated to 2.3.6 soon.
Why isn't there Galaxy Royal in this table released yesterday from Samsung?

EDIT: Samsung Italy has confirmed the ICS update for Galaxy R.
This is what Samsung Italy has told:

Galaxy royal is an unwanted kid for Samsung???
And no forum?
I've been searching through XDA to find the reason why i9103 is not getting its own forum, but found nothing. Could someone please explain why? I have both i9000 and i9103 and I have enjoyed and still enjoy homebrew on the former, while the latter, having root, some kernels, some roms, and being the most requested to create a new forum, hasn't still received its own category. Why? Thanks

maybe they would be directly skipping it to ICS ?

It looks like that. I asked samsung.se why there wasn't SGR on their website and if they had some info about ics update and I received just two marketing-slogans with no answers. It's f...n ridiculous. Samsung acts like they try to hide the fact that they've ever released this device. No update, not even picture+product features on many official websites, nothing. The most of technical information can be found on private blogs which by the way most often discouraged potential buyers from purchasing this handset ("we recommend to add some amount of money and buy sgs2 since the price difference is not that big"). The only thing you can easily find now is the (mostly asian) firmware. Big thanks to sampro.pl - definitely the best samsung fanpage on web and sammobile.com - wannabe the best (no irony here, second place in my own ranking), though still no info about i9103 at all, but they at least try to keep website updated and do something towards development.

As far as I can remember we just have: root, cwm and one custom kernel The roms we can enjoy here are only the stock ones It's not a huge achievement unfortunately. We just have one ardatdat that makes a real progress here. Otherwise we're more or less devoted but still bunch of ordinary, average users. Our contribution is not the biggest. It doesn't really matter we're probably over 400 people now. The popularity of SGR among devs and rom brewers is none at the moment and that's the most important for real progress. At this point I can understand why we cannot get own section here.
On the other hand the biggest "sin" of i9103 seems to be: not being released in USA. There are plenty crappy, obsolete devices that have been granted home here, and it doesn't matter that they no longer fulfill tech. requirements for further development. Moreover SGS2 has at least few different sections just because of cosmetic differences within one model (depending on carrier). That makes explanations that device should have some special, unique features, ridiculous.

It shows the timeline for the release of updates for THE ITALIAN VERSION of Samsung products.
There is a Samsung 2.3.6 update in English for the Galaxy R and you can download it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1372457
So you can NOT say that Samsung did not supply any 2.3.6 ROM for the Galaxy R.
There probably is a low priority for the Italian version because there are no Italian network operators selling the Galaxy R. Is there one?

We just are not Flagship. We are a cheaper copy of the S II.
But we did get 2.3.6!

Again you are writing something about the ITALIAN VERSION.
The Austrian and German versions get sold with 2.3.5 and the Taiwan, Hong Kong, China Korea versions are now sold with 2.3.6 or can get 2.3.6 via Kies update.

There are 4500 pages that mention the i9103 Galaxy R on samsung.com:
http://www.google.com/search?q=i9103+site:samsung.com
The Swedish Galaxy R support site is here:
http://www.samsung.com/se/support/detail/supportPrdDetail.do?prd_mdl_cd=GT-I9103MAAHTS
Why did I find it in 1 Minute, man?
I know, but the thing is that the same poor information (swedish website) has been there for 3 months. Nothing has changed...which is a joke if we talk about successful promotion. Try to find it among other handsets, like a regular random surfer.
I'm aware of google search engine, but it's just a word game if we consider PR. You cannot call it proper marketing like it was in case of even Galaxy Ace (not to mention SGS2). I meant official websites and full advertisement which includes: full display among all other devices: (pictures + specifications + marketing text) and not only manual + Kies hidden deeply inside the website. It's not serious promotion of a powerful device.
Yes 4500 pages where word "i9103" appears - Agree, but on how many national websites is Samsung Galaxy R really promoted? I checked last month and it was just: Hongkong, Taiwan, China, Russia and Spain.

You did not check good enough. I know many more national samsung sites with Galaxy R promotion.
Re-check with google and tell us how many national sites.
For legion1911, I have more than 700 post in this forum and I came from HTC Diamond, Diamond 2, Tytn, Tytn 2 and HD2.
I like very much Galaxy Royal and I bought it for the low price (I payed it 300 euro for a new one) but you can't tell that this phone is supported from Samsung or from this forum. I can tell you the real support is something else.
Sorry for my bad English.
I bought nothing Galaxy R is very sorry ...
Ok, since the quality of google results is not always trustworthy and raw numbers/expressions often highly misleading I've checked most of world's websites through samsung.org, site by site.
I haven't checked Africa and South America due to the lack of time. May my latin, and african friends forgive me.
These are the countries (23) where you can find galaxy R among other devices:
Europe: Austria, Germany, Norway, Spain, Croatia, Kazakhstan (it's european according to samsung), Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine
Middle East: Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabien, UAE, Yemen
Asia and Pacific: China, Hongkong, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, India
North America: None, but here I can understand (no release)
Conclusion: only 4 developed (West european countries with over-average income per capita have Samsung Galaxy R officially on their websites). We can then differentiate: asian tigers like Singapore and Taiwan. I don't mean to discriminate anybody, and I appreciate contribution of developers from other parts of the world equally, but statistically most of them come from western countries.
Other countries (19) belong to either developing or less developed with lower income per capita.
Well at the beginning I thought it was just neglectful of Samsung that they didn't push their regional offices to update their websites. Right now I can see it was a planed marketing strategy. But I still think it's unacceptable that over 3 months after release the phone cannot be found on major official sites.
My friends please, let's everybody consider himself/herself if it's the right promotion and support that guarantees or rather makes further development easier. I'm personally not convinced if it is the best way.
We have bad luck, but we have at least solid devices with not buggy stock and I'm sure that sooner or later we're gonna get what we're waiting for.

You were talking about no 2.3.6 for the R from Samsung. And I wrote there is one.
Yes I wish they would support us more but we are not flagship. We are a minor side release in the tradition of the Samsung "3" devices i9103, i9003.
The number with a 3 and the end and that they did not give us the S in the name says it all.
About the forum, I think the administrators of this forum are american a**holes that do not want to give us a forum for this device because it is not sold in the US.

Thnx and yes I am
Who put that in my signature? OMG!
I've just got an answer from samsung customer service (swedish one). According to the message we're getting ICS-update for sure in the first quarter of 2012
Yes, it is.
I confirm this as wrote in the first post.http://android.hdblog.it/2011/12/20/samsung-conferma-android-4-0-per-la-gamma-top-galaxy/
Second official confirmation for ICS on GALAXY R.
http://www.sammobile.com/2011/12/22/official-no-android-4-0-for-galaxy-s-and-galaxy-tab/
They explain also why galaxy S and tab wont be getting ICS.
"For the following devices it is a FACT they will receive their updates:"
GALAXY S II
GALAXY S II LTE
GALAXY Note
GALAXY R
GALAXY Tab 10.1
GALAXY Tab 8.9
GALAXY Tab 7.7
GALAXY Tab 7.0
Correct me if I'm wrong but I've always thought SGS had almost identical specs as Nexus S, which has already got an update. Is it Touchwizz that is so demanding?
I believe they both share hardware but touchwizz 5.0 is only for dual core lol. They say that some hardware wont work on 4.0 ... I dont know what the mean...
As you all know Samsung promised ICS for Samsung Galaxy R, but now thay give a different explanation, like this " Samsung Mobile España...Galaxy R no recibirá ICS ya que no se puede asegurar el perfecto funcionamiento en estos dispositivos. Saludos." in translation " R Galaxy not receive ICS because there is no guarantee the perfect operation in these devices. Greetings. "
My suggestion is to unite together and through social networks show our unhappiness !

2. Put them the same questions until we get concrete answers to us.

Questions that could be asked:
- Why is Samsung not updating Galaxy R to ICS 4.0 as they had promised earlier ? Why are you fooling your consumers ?(Post links to the above mentioned articles as proof but also take screenshots before as they can simply take down that page)
- Why is Samsung back tracking on the updates even though Galaxy R is highly capable of running ICS ? Why are you fooling your customers ?
- If Samsung is updating then what's the schedule and when will Galaxy R get ICS ?
- If Samsung is not updating then give back our money as they are not updating as promised earlier which was basis on which we bought Galaxy R. Ask others users not to buy Samsung mobiles because they cheat & fool users.
Add some idea if you have

p.s if you are not able to give me an answer, who should I contact?
Answer: Dear Zeljko, we just launched an update to ICS for S2, we are working on and to come to the other Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy R as soon as possible.

Since Oppo has released a ColorOS13 Official rollout update naming India and Indonesia Find X2 Pro and X2 series for a release from 13 January (and China from 12 January), do you think it could be possible to access this via VPN?
Does anyone understand whether this official release might be a good sign for future ColorOS 13 releases for the X2 series in other parts of the world?
