Enabling VoLTE? - HTC U11+ Questions & Answers

Once root is achieved, is there any way to enable VoLTE on this phone? I have the Taiwan version and I got spoiled with all my unlocked US hTc phones on TMO. I've owned them all since the One X. Now I have this U11+ and I absolutely love it. I just wish it had this one feature...

Doubt it. The only place that has VoLTE is I think some Taiwan networks and one Chinese network. The whole of Europe doesn't get VoLTE on the U11+

Thanks to 8bitbang finally I was able to get VOLTE working on HTC U11 J15 unlocked version by following these steps.
1.) Downloaded the attachment provided.
2.) Extract the zip and copy default.xml files from MNS & ACC folder and paste files into device MNS & ACC folder situated in system/customize.
3.) Delete all other files except default.xml from MNS & ACC folder.
4.) Reboot the device and it's done
I tested on JIO network (India carrier) and it worked flawlessly. You can give it a try.

Its network dependant I've found in the UK on EE & Vodaphone my handset work on Volte without a hitch, on th3 network I use they only support their branded devices on three UK, I used an Irish 3 rom on my HTC u11 but the 11+ isn't supported in Ireland to my knowledge on supervoice(Volte) but three informed me they will be soon

How To flash N920P with international firmware version?

I'm trying to flash Sprints N920P with any international unbranded firmware. phone is rooted, TWRP already installed and OEM unlocked.
Tried to flash N920CXXU1AOI3_N920COXE1AOI3_SER with odin but failed.
could you please give me any advise? There should be a solution because its hardware is same for every region or carrier.

Not sure why you would want to do this. If you can get the phone unlocked then whats the point?

Hmm not sure about the theme store but you don't need to use an international rom. You can use a Sprint rom. Although all Note 5's are essentially the same (there might be some variants with differences), the kernel might be different for each. I would stick with the Sprint rom. Maybe try some of the roms posted in the development section to see if the theme store would work on those roms.

nope. i have flashed "sprint" custom rom!
Thing about sprint is...it has its own network. So unlocking it is not the same as tmobile and other networks. Example 1, sprint unlocked only works on sprinit network and other networks by sprint. Example 2, any other company, tmobile, verizion, unlocked can work with a different sim card, internationally. If you put a different sim card in the sprint phone it wont work for some reason, but any nonesprint phone it does if unlocked
This is not true. The N920P can be unlocked and used on domestic GSM carriers. I'm currently using the N920P on straight talk (ATT) with LTE on stock/rooted rom.
Hey insane howd you get 4g? On att?and are there any good roms for sprint note 5 with att

You should just flash a rom with custom recovery. odin to hit or miss for me unless I'm going complete stock

How you did it?
I used idoneapps for the unlock (works great, kudos to those guys) .You will have to make NV changes for LTE (directions are on this site). You also need two APN's (one with LTE as bearer). Network Mode needs to be GSM/WCDMA/LTE. Handcent with manual APN for MMS keeps from having to reboot nearly everytime you receive an MMS as well.
---------- Post added at 09:01 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:44 AM ----------
NV edits can be found http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=56577252&postcount=455 . You do not need the storage patch for this device, obviously.

Need CSC files from US T-Mobile Galaxy S7

Hi! I am investigating how to enable Wi-Fi calling with T-mobile SIM on non-T-mobile branded (generic) Galaxy S7. I narrowed it down to settings in a few system files. I need a copy of these files from Somebody who has US T-mobile Galaxy S7. Basically I am looking for all xml files located under /features/csc/. On my phone they are are others.xml and customer.xml.
I will appreciate if somebody could fetch these files and post/send it to me. If I manage to make this work the results will be of benefit to the whole community.
1. Enable USB debugging ( no need to root or modify your phone in any way)
2. Install adb (instructions)
3. Execute the following commands:
Code:
adb pull /system/csc/customer.xml
adb pull /system/csc/others.xml
4. Post here or send me directly these files.
Thanks!

I am more interested in WiFi calling but VoLTE options seems to be managed in the same way. If we find solution to enable one, other will follow for sure.
The first glance at XML files is little discouraging. They look very different from ones I have on generic model. On generic model I have WiFi calling options seems to be limited to certain operators, and I thought all I need is to add T-mobile US to this list. Apparently G930T firmware is different. I will be experimenting with it more and will post updates.

Wow, if you can get this to work, this would be a satisfactory solution to me. I will not buy a phone that's not rootable, but if an Exynos version can get all the T-Mobile goodies, I'm sold. Good luck!
Not sure if it sways anyone's decision but T-Mobile announced more enhanced calling stuff this week which would be more features not available on the intl
I wanted to report back my results. It looks like T-mobile firmware substantially different from others and config files do not match.
One thing I tried is to add US T-mobile networks from T-mobile CSC files to list of network which allow Wi-Fi calling in EE firmware CSC files. This did not help.
Do you think a T-mobile S6 Marshmallow will help? the S6 having an exynos processor may make it's CSC more in line with the S7 International

How will you push the new CSC files without root?
Are those csc could from an exnyos phone?
Any progress? Vzaliva?
It wont work im almost 100% the kernel needs to be modded or a tmobile kernel used.
I'm new to this, but is it possible to get T-Mobile WiFi-Calling & VoLTE on Hong Kong variant S7/ edge? They both have snapdragon processors, but the hong kong one is bootloader unlockable.
Here a t-mobile flashable csc throught recovery, for s7. I tested on my sm-g930f. No volte, no wifi callings, hd voice etc.

Update from HTC USA

Hello all,
Can see the Oreo update on the Htc us support site for unlocked u11,
Can we install it on our phone purchased in India??
The site is
http://www.htc.com/us/support/updates.aspx
Thanks in advance
No. Devices from different areas have certain differences (for instance, radios, firmwares etc.)
So you need to wait for the official update for your device, once it becomes available for your device, in your region.

Oops. I should have checked that the unlocked US variant is the single SIM variant whereas we have the dual sim variant here in India. Rookie mistake. Thanks for the input though!
You'll find that you'd need to change the cid and mid to use the usa updates

OnePlus 7 Pro GM1910 issue

Hi Everyone !
I have been using my cellphone already for almost 2 months with no issues but for some reason my country has an "Homologation" process thing. Basically only the OP7P GM1917 variant has been registered as allowed in country and because of that they do not allow having another variants right now. So today suddenly I lost my service and after doing some research it seems like my cellphone variant is not yet allowed. As far as I know, the cellular network bands are correct since I double checked that before buying it. Is there any possible way to convert my variant 1910 into the 1917 one?
Thanks!
I think you can try this method :

Question Rog Phone 5 EU version voLTE WiFi Calling

Asus EU as of last week have started to sell the EU version of this phone directly on their website (ZS673KS-1A016EU). I know with the non EU versions, WiFi calling and voLTE won't work here with UK networks. Would the EU version have these features turned on?

Was about to order the EU version direct from Asus but then I noticed this thread. As I'm also in the UK can anyone please confirm if VoWiFi and VoLTE will work in the UK? I'm on Vodafone and both work with my current phone (OP7 Pro). I've seen that there are some steps to activate VoLTE and VoWiFi but the solutions I've seen are from posters in Australia and the US so would welcome confirmation that they work in the UK.
Refer to this ASIS Zentalk thread. Apparently ASUS has activated VoLTE and VoWiFi for UK in their July firmware update.
Apparently the latest update contains .mbn files for activating VoLTE and VoWiFi for these UK operators: EE, H3G, O2 and Vodafone.
(Here's hoping Australia will get similar love soon.)
