Hi all,
First, sorry for my bad English ^^
My Kindle Fire HD8 2017 suddenly lost the sound. Both Speakers are still ok but I can't hear any sound from it when play music or movie from Amz or App or browser ( Of course, I max all volumes ) . When I restart my Kindle, I still heard the sound when it start to boot ( ting* or something like that ).
The sound is still ok when I use headphone.
I try all solutions on Internet (as Quick mute appication on Amz store, App Volume booster, Restart, Reset Factory, ...) but nothing hapened.
Does anyone have a similar situation? Please help me

Hello,
I am a proud owner of a couple Android Phones since the HTC G1, the HTC Magic and so goes on.
Now I was very excited to get the Nexus S, but on the first day of use, after making all the updates to 2.3.2 and installing all my usual apps, I noticed a crackling sound when hearing music from the speakers.
I can not find the reason of this but would like to know if someone had a problem similar to mine, and if yes, if it was possible to solve it.
There are some facts about this crackling noise that I point as follow:
- The crackling sound is not present all the times. The phone works well when playing shorts sounds like ringtones and notifications. I can hear everything crystal clear;
- When I start to hear a song (tried many different players, all the same problem), or when I am playing a game that uses constant music or sound effects, the crackling sound starts after some minutes of perfect sound (usually between 01:00 and 01:30 of good playing);
- It seems like a irregular white noise, like playing a corrupted MP3 file, that gets in the middle of the media;
- It beguns with a low volume compared to the media and gets louder as time passes, until it gets more frequent and as louder as the music playing;
- At first I thought of a broken speaker, and checked the headphones, but the crackling sound appears when listening music on both headphones and external speakers;
- Then I noticed the crackling sound appears on long voice calls too.
Well... I thought it could be something related to the software, so tried the OEM recovery process (Settings > Privacy > Factory data reset), but it was not sucessfull.
[Q] Does anyone had a problem like mine?
[Q] Could someone point what could be the cause of it or a possible solutions?
Thanks in advance.
Jon
I noticed the same thing while listening to Pandora. Not sure what's going on. I'm on Modaco and don't know if its something in there or not.
I hear the noise after about 30 minutes of pandora.
I'm having the same issue running Modaco while listening to music via Spotify.
Just got back to the stock ROM, I'll see if it's any better and keep you guys posted.
I can now confirm that stock ROM is not affected by this issue.

Hi guys,
I got a 3 days old sensation, and for the past 3 days it keeps going to auto silent mode, (wont ring, no alarm, games & music all no sound) even my notification and volume is max.
The problem goes away after I make a call and it will comeback again anytime.
I only installed some popular apps (known for no issue) such ass Whatapps, Wiki, Angry bird, Dictionary and some games for my toddler.
I am still good for 7 days exchange policy, but I hope I could fix the issue, having installed screen protector and all, i wish to keep this set
Anyone can help me?
Thanks!
Some games are not compatible with Sensation and caused a loss of sound. I have to try the game Talking tom cat or some similar games ( Talking.....) and causing the whole system sound. You only need to uninstall that game and restart the device >>> The device works correctly again

Good to know, thanks for the tip.
seems to be a common problem and there are a few threads on here about it. some think it's incompatible apps but I don't have any of the ones that are ever listed & I get it. the sure way to get sound back without restarting is just as you do, make a call, I call voicemail, & then it'll come back.
If you look, your phone is locked in media volume & that's the issue.
Thanks for the reply guys...
I found the culprit, yes! ancola66 is right! it was the TALKING GINA, got it uninstalled and all fine.
Auto silent for no reason HTC Sensation
Heya,
Thought I'd post this in response to the solutions. It may be an application that's causing the problem but I tried all that and removed applications (none of whihc were games - iplayer type stuff) and reset the phone (factory reset) and still nothing.
Then I decided to plug in my headphones to see if that output worked. It did and when I unplugged them, voila, the speaker suddenly worked again!!
Morale: plug in some headphones if you have this problem before doing anything else.. It may solve it..
Hope this helps!
Auto silent for no reason on Sensation
Hey again,
It went silent for a reason when I wanted to play the HTC Music. I tried the headphone thing and no joy. But went into youtube and started something playing then did the headphone thing and the speaker's back on.
I will never understand this, but it seems to work for me.

Hi
I;ve been trying to goole it everywhere , but apparently I am not as good as Sherlock Holmes, so I'm posting it right away.
So the point is that when I listen to some song with Poweramp there is something like volume goes up and down automatically for some higher tones or someting. I was trying to change something in option, but without any succes. Now I've got Replay gain turned off , Music Fx frozen, and thers is only DVC turned on. Anyone have any solution or it would be simply better to change the music player to winamp or something?
Rihgt away thanks for any help
I hope it would be easier with a sng example which is Scream and Shout by will.i.am.
In the chorus, when the sing together it is like the were choking and then this computer voice is in the middle suppressed.
By the way I would like to mention that play the same song from the same file in google play music I havent noticed such a sound problems.
Please help me. :crying:
Motorola Moto G 16GB, updated to 4.4.2.
HELP MY EARS!! Most notably when using earphones, I get horrible hissing, static hissing whenever I open an app that outputs sound. Even with something like Google Voice Search popping up and playing the dum-dum sound. This happens even when I turn the volume down to 0. I've gone into Sound settings, disabled Motorola's EQ, put all other volumes (notification etc) to 0 as well but nothing has helped. As soon as the app stops outputting volume after a second or so delay, the hissing goes away. For example when a YouTube video stops playing. It's driving me nuts. Google shows that it's a common issue after the 4.4.2 update or something.
I also use the app Fine Volume Control V2 across all Android devices I use since I find the minimum volume to be too loud, even with my TF300T. Thinking this was an issue I've uninstalled said app, rebooted but alas the static hissing remains.
Don't say you can't hear it, you need some half-decent headphones/earphones to pick it up, but oh dear god it's painful. Same symptoms described in this thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2611599
Hello fellas.
So i bought S8+ few days ago, and i gotta ask. What the heck is wrong with music volume on headphones ?
I feel like on last 2 steps volume phone turns on like a pop music filter which cuts some details from the sound making it worse.
It's like on the 3rd from the top everything seems ok, and when u turn up by one it's just don't feel the same.
And then when u turn volume down by one from 2 to top to 3 to top u hear like slight 20ms delay in sound, like a some kind of filter disengages, and everything is back to normal.
On the sound settings everything is turned off.
Do u know something about this ?
Which app was playing the music?
Is the default app? Have you tried other apps like Youtube or Spotify?
I use Spotify but this effect is global (tested on samsung player and YT)
Maybe it's the headphones
No, it isn't headphones. Tested on 3 sets. I'll just try get jack-jack cable and record it on pc.
