[GAME][4.0+] Luna Signal - Android Apps and Games

Hi guys,
I am happy to inform you about Android game "Luna Signal" I recently published on Play Store. It is "old school", retro style 2D arcade. I was a single developer working on it for a long time using just pure Java (without any frameworks). I would like to hear your opinion about the game.
Link to Play Store
Thanks,
Damir Milovic

link?
Can you provide a link?
Is it the one by Digital Atrium? I will give feedback.

Yes, it is one by Digital Atrium

Well done - Its a big accomplishment developing a game as a single developer. First of, it was a bit confusing being presented with the settings menu as the first thing when opening the game. First off, you should really consider making the inputs/control into a digital joystick, the arrow controls are quite tedious and in many situation frustrating. Also the training level seems very long and has no checkpoints, so I had to start from the very beginning whenever I died. After 2 tries I quited the game, since I lost my motivation. The game is well optimized, very small build size and has some potential in gameplay. With some small changes, you could make it 5 times better imo.
Congratulations with your release & good luck

Thank you very much TeamAlimote for verbose feedback. I put your comments in TODO list for next update. Regarding checkpoints, you have Quick save/load option when you pause game. It should be very helpful to avoid start game from beginning every time
Also there is button "+" in pause menu where you can increase energy or ammo. You just need to watch rewarded video (instead to buy it through in-app purchase). Please let me know if those options are helpful.

No problem.. Nice with the save/load feature! I completely missed that, and think most new players will do so. Maybe you can give a small introduction to the save system just before the training level - Or maybe have forced auto saves on certain progression points

Luna Signal updated v.1.04.

[GAME][2.2+][FREE] Heriswap - sweet puzzle game

Hello guys,
Soupe au caillou (means "Stone Soup" in english) is a french team of development. Our goal is to make quality games because there is a lack on android.
So our first game is called Heriswap, available on the store in english or french. It's a match3 game in which sound track and graphics are polished up.
Everyone can play it, including children or cats and at the same time hardcore player can play&compare each other with Openfeint !
Let me know if you have any questions, tips or feelings about it .
For developers : the sources are under GPL3 license so you can download them on our website !
Actually sweet
I tried your game, and I must congratulate you on your choices of colors and simple/beautiful and clean graphics. Music too is really pleasing on ears.
Here are a few suggestions that I have:
- When I get stuck I should be shown a hint. Because sometimes you know just cant find the pattern and thus game becomes slow.
- There should be some powers like special leafs etc and/or when we collect 4 or 5 together.
Maybe I should give it a try lol.
simple match3
not the best match 3 game and not so interesting but rather simple and cute

Yeah it was the aim of the game, make it simply, but can you give me some interesting match3 ? I'd like to try one .
Thanks for feedbacks !
Hello, we made our probably last update for Heriswap yesterday !
We added a "highlighter" at the end of the game which is showing one remaining combination.
Fixed bugs on restore (it shouldn't bug anymore including ICS).
Optimizing some things.
We are now working around our next game, but let me know your feedbacks for a potential update perhaps !
Hello!
The last update took a little (big) more time to end up, but here it is : final version of heriswap (excepts bug corrections) is there!
We added a hint when you get stuck (vihag we listened to you ), plus one more gamemode and an intermediate difficulty.
Enjoy it!

[GAME] Finger Shepherd (Android)

Hi all,
I've been developing my game for a couple of years now (you reallly can't underestimate how long these things take when done in your spare time!)
I've finally released it, so would be interested in the feedback of you knowledgeable bunch. The game is called Finger Shepherd and is a sheep herding game with 3D graphics. As you know, there's only so many devices I can test on myself so any bugs / issues / suggestions / feedback would be greatly appreciated.
The package is called "shibby.fingershepherd"; if someone else could post the URL for me I'd be grateful!
Mod Edit: Here you go
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=shibby.fingershepherd
Some screenshots attached.
Thanks for any feedback you can provide!
Lewis (Shibby)
good game it's really fun
Nice work! Love it!
Sent from my GT-I9001 using xda premium
This is quite interesting.
And I find that the sheep there are so lovable.
Thanks - much appreciated!
I've had a few comments that the difficulty is too high on some of the water levels. The drop-off rate through the online leaderboards seems to support this, so I'm planning to make a few tweaks...
Finger Shepherd Updated
I have now published an update. Any more feedback, please let me know and I'll work to improve the game
Changelog:
Much needed tweaking of difficulty on a number of levels
Lighting bugfix
Tip display bugfix on smaller screens
Performance optimised on certain devices
You can now unlock one of the minigames by sharing on twitter
The new version is displayed as 1.0.2.
I'd appreciate it if any users here would have a go at enabling Gree and logging some scores to the leaderboards - this uses 3rd party code that could do with as much testing as possible ( much like my own code really )
When screen turns off after you win the game goes to pause menu from which you can only restart or go back to game youve already won. Otherwise very nice game
Hi,
Just letting you know that the game has been updated again! Target times have been adjusted again based on user feedback. Also there is a brand new minigame called "The Maze" waiting for you to play :victory:
Very fun and nice idea ! I had my finger on the screen when it first started it took me by surprise
The game runs smooth and very well, I just noticed that you are allowing the user to change some stuff that as developers we use mostly to debug such as the FPS which in my opinion you can make it (even as a setting) disabled and invisible to the user. Much better UX in my opinion
Also, It worked well on a relatively low end device = ), didn't expect that as it is 3D
Again nice game and well done! Left you a comment on GP for support : )
Really nice game. Looks like all your time and effort paid off.
Thanks folks, I'm chuffed you like the game The feedback is useful and I intend to keep up with the updates.

Thanks for the great review. I started the game (just checked) in April 2011, so it's designed to work on the devices that were popular back then at a minimum.

I'm glad you like it! I'm not totally convinced that it's paid off, however It's so difficult to get downloads - very few per day, and it's on its way down the rankings at the moment. Hard to see where new downloads will come from... It's incredibly competitive in the play store nowadays - might be a different story if I had released it 2 years ago.
Sorry, don't mean to sound too depressed about it! It's been a fun experience developing the game and I'm already thinking about the next one
good game it's really fun
but graphics makes my cry

[GAME][2.3.3+] Magic Land - The hardest game ever !

Hello everyone!
I'd love to introduce you to one of my game called "Magic Land"!
Some basic information about the game:
The game uses the ANDENGINE with the following extensions:
- Limbo
- TMXTiledMapExtension
- PixelPerfectCollisionDetection
- GooglePlayServices.
Game features:
There are a total of 45 levels (3 worlds, 15 levels each). Worlds 1 and 2 are easy-ish, however, world 3 is really hard, it's going to take you some time and thinking to complete it.
You can save your time and deaths counter for each level and compare them with other players from all around the globe. You can also log in to the Google+ services and see your and others results on the Google Play platform.
Controls are really easy, you can choose one out of two available options, which are ANALOG and DIGITAL. Using the DIGTAL setting you can move your character up, down, left and right. Using the ANALOG setting you can move your character up, down, left, right and diagonally.
If you can, please, download my game, rate it, and leave your comment. Constructive criticism is always appreciated, as it helps me improve! If you find any bugs feel free to forward them to me, thanks!

Good game, only thing that could be really improved is the way the item is controlled. (Joystick)
Cool game. Addictive.
But it is really difficult to control the square. And in my opinion it is the main difficulty of the game.

I just rated your game under username "BudMccrud.
Can you check out my game, and tell me what you think? http://bit.ly/1utlvFV
Also, I think you should make the box move a bit faster. I agree with the earlier comment, regarding the joystick control being hard.

yeah right now there's a bug with the back button. Just close the app, and register using an email. You don't need Facebook to login.
So dificult . Like the other user said, the joystick controls are a little bad, but thats the only problem !
Nice!
I think that it is really good! What markets for ads do you use?
Great game! Landscape really is more engaging than portrait for games.

[GAME][2.3+] - Time Ninja

Hi there! I'd like to announce my new game.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pixeloxygen.internalclock
Gameplay
I find the idea of the game quite unusual, but my opinion might be biased, since its my own game
So, in this game you won’t need to jump, fly, shoot or anything like that. Instead you will need to observe a spinning arrow and understand how fast its spinning. Then, when you’re ready, you need to tap the START button and the arrow will become invisible.
However, it won’t stop and will continue moving. Now, your goal is to predict when to press STOP so that the arrow stopped inside a sector on the circle, which appears right after you push START.
This sounds quite simple, but I find the game quite addictive. Of course the game gets harder each level to keep you entertained!
Also, I guess it should help you training your internal (aka mental) clock, this means playing this game is good for your brain

I would love to hear your comments, because I have few more similar ideas and want to understand if these types of games are interesting to play to anyone except me!
Thanks for reading!
There was a cool minigame in Alan Wake (PC game) just like this.
Pretty cool man!
Interesting game, the graphics are very clean and straightforward. Easy to play, good job man
Really addictive game. Spent quite some time after installing although initially only wanted to take a quick look!
Good
Thanks everyone for comments! It is really great to get some feedback after working alone on this game!
Enjoyed the game, its actually quite different from existing games which is rare. I do have a few suggestions though
Personally I'd prefer it if the button moved a little faster, felt a little slow paced
The name is very hard to find by searching, although I like the name there are a LOT of apps trying to rank for Ninja
I found it irritating having to start again at level 1 after losing on a higher level
Personally I don't like it when apps disable the back button

Thanks a lot for such a detailed feedback! I really appreciate this!
I know about the name, but to be honest I don't know if any name will guarantee you any visibility in Google Play, since even by a search query "Time Ninja" my app doesn't show.
I also thought that restarting from the first level might be not the best decision, but I wanted to create a game that is really hard to master, but in the same time you can play in it any amount of time (e.g. while waiting for the bus or standing in line). By the way if you close the game at Level N you won't have to restart when you open it next time. So you don't need to beat as much levels as you can at once. On the other hand, I didn't want that players just beat all levels by randomly pushing the START/STOP buttons, and if you have nothing to lose (i.e. game progress) then you won't try as hard as you can on every level.
However, I might add another play mode in the game where you need to beat levels and current mode will stay as an "endless mode".
Regarding the back button. I'm using cocos2d-x for development and not doing something intentionally (e.g. didn't write any specific code) to block back button. I'll take a look at this. Thanks for letting me know!
Once again, thank you for detailed feedback!
On the subject of the name there are a number of things that affect your rank for a search term, one is downloads (which you can't do much about) but another is how many times the term appears in your description (up to 5 occurances). You don't have Time Ninja in your description at all. Fitting it (naturally) into your description several times probably still won't get you to the top but will probably put you on the page.
Thanks! I didn't know that app description matters so much. I guess I'll need to go and read more about marketing before making improvements and working on my next game
Good

APP/GAME [4.0.3+] Swift Word

Here's my first real attempt at making an android app/game
Swift Word is a fun filled and challenging word game backed by a simple, minimalistic UI.
Rules of the game would be that you have to change one letter in the four-letter word the computer gives you. The computer will then change one letter in the word you used and so on. You may not use proper nouns or reuse words that have already been used. The first person to use all possible words wins! You can avail three hints per game to assist you in the game.
Go play the game and see if you are good enough to beat the computer a over game of words.
All the words used in the game are sourced from the official dictionary used in TWL 2014.
Got any feedback or suggestion?

Cool. Do let me know what you think
Nice word game, I find it very hard for beginners, though. Maybe add some difficulty level, especially some easier difficulty ?
It has a nice clean interface. Permissions are non-existent (yeah). A great start.
I agree with those before me... It can be very challenging. I thought if it could have a multi-player mode, perhaps through bluetooth, that would be awesome. Instead of playing vs a computer with a dictionary at its disposal you could have a more level playing field.
Finally, I couldn't find an option to end the game (admit defeat). Is there a button I'm missing? I back arrowed out of my 200 something word game when I couldn't figure out another word. That didn't get an entry in my scores (as a defeat, obviously).
Out of curiosity, what word database is used?
The screens should tell more about the game. UI is simple, but there should be some hints on the screen. Take a look how they did it in Two Dots game.
