Here's my first real attempt at making an android app/game
Swift Word is a fun filled and challenging word game backed by a simple, minimalistic UI.
Rules of the game would be that you have to change one letter in the four-letter word the computer gives you. The computer will then change one letter in the word you used and so on. You may not use proper nouns or reuse words that have already been used. The first person to use all possible words wins! You can avail three hints per game to assist you in the game.
Go play the game and see if you are good enough to beat the computer a over game of words.
All the words used in the game are sourced from the official dictionary used in TWL 2014.

Cool. Do let me know what you think
Nice word game, I find it very hard for beginners, though. Maybe add some difficulty level, especially some easier difficulty ?
It has a nice clean interface. Permissions are non-existent (yeah). A great start.
I agree with those before me... It can be very challenging. I thought if it could have a multi-player mode, perhaps through bluetooth, that would be awesome. Instead of playing vs a computer with a dictionary at its disposal you could have a more level playing field.
Finally, I couldn't find an option to end the game (admit defeat). Is there a button I'm missing? I back arrowed out of my 200 something word game when I couldn't figure out another word. That didn't get an entry in my scores (as a defeat, obviously).
Out of curiosity, what word database is used?
The screens should tell more about the game. UI is simple, but there should be some hints on the screen. Take a look how they did it in Two Dots game.

Difficulty Level, Multiplayer mode and the Give up button or accepting defeat button are all concentrated on now for the next update. Thanks for the feedbacks

Hi xda,
I'm new here, but wanted to post my first game to get some more feedback.
Android Market: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.rickboerebach.android.binarysudoku
The game is free, has no ads, requires no permissions and currently has 100 puzzles, which guarantee about 8-12 hours of puzzle time
The Binary Puzzle:
The binary puzzle is a new and challenging logic puzzle that you can solve by
reasoning. Only zeros and ones occur in the puzzle, but this turns out to be
more complicated than it seems to be. This app offers binary puzzles of various
sizes and levels. A last warning: The binary puzzle is quite addictive.
Rules:
Each cell should contain a zero or a one. No more than two similar numbers
below or next to each other are allowed. Each row and each column is unique
and contains as many zeros as ones.
Version 1.0.9 released.
Updates:

Great Feel free to suggest features / changes.
I've been waiting for a binary sudoku app for literally months. Thank you, sir, for bringing this awesome puzzle game to my phone at last!
Will install immediately, and report back on how I like it.
Great idea!

Just updated to version 1.2.0 with OpenFeint highscores & achievements (suggestions for achievements are welcome)!
Nice game!
Good job man.
Thanks for creating this app! I love puzzle apps that rely more on the puzzle and less on the graphics & sounds!
Installing it now & will let you know.
EDIT: Going through the easy levels & loving the simple logic used (so far, simple
Questions
Each row & each column is unique - I presume that you can have the same sequence of numbers in a row & a column (just not 2 rows with the same sequence)? I haven't hit it yet, but want to know for when I hit them.
Are the solutions unique? Can each one be solved strictly with logic (ie, no guess needed to go on)?
Is this your own puzzle idea? I can't say I've heard of it before (will google shortly)
Thanks again!
Nice game -- just played through some easy levels. Definitely a fun little game.
Cool! You can add "easy" or "beginner" level
I'm really bad at sudoku, but I'm willing to give this one a shot since it's binary
Looks like a very solid app. However, would it be possible to add the functionality of adding your own puzzles? Like in OpenSudoku, where you can create your own sudoku from a blank grid; that way you can copy a puzzle from the newspaper that someone else has already filled in, for example, and still do it yourself.
That, and more puzzles, would be awesome.

Yeah, you can have the same sequence of numbers in a row and column and solutions are unique and can be solved strictly with logic.
Sadly, it's not my own puzzle idea i saw a puzzlebook with this type of puzzles at the local magazine store and pretty much got addicted. Tho, a puzzlebook is not convenient in the train etc, and there was no app for it. I'm a developer myself and decided to invest a day of work in making my personal traveling more fun, and introducing this puzzle to the rest of the Android world

This apps looks great. I'm going to download this and review it on my blog (Android Cowboy) as soon as I can. I'll put the link once it's posted. Hopefully it will help get you more downloads .
Thanks for writing a post on the frontpage, didn't expect it to be reviewed This will definitely boost downloads!
Also, thanks to everybody who downloaded (and rated/reviewed) the game

Yeah, great idea. I want to implement more community aspects, but I first want to see how things turn out. If the game gets popular, I can get a dedicated server and write an API backend for these kind of things

Hey, rickboerebach
Thanks a lot for your efforts. Your game is very amusing. It's, indeed, pretty addictive!
Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that the harder the level, it gets easier to reach more than one solution, but your application accepts one of them only.
Thanks again, anyway.
Best regards,
Carlos

Glad you like it. Each puzzle only has one solution People tend to forget the row/column uniqueness rule, maybe you overlooked that one? Each row has to be unique and each column has to be unique. Tho, you can have the same sequence of numbers in a row and a column.
Oops, you're right! Had forgotten that rule!
Thanks, again.
I downloaded your game and played a few levels, it's simple but challenging.
I really like it, I'm going to spend some more time with it at the university tomorrow.
Hello Everyone!
I've spent a year writing a cool word search game, and I've just ported it to Android.
My Game is FREE and is in Google Play -
(if I wasn't a noob a link would be here) Google Play - Lexigon
Have a play with the game and let me know what you think!
thanks!
andy
PS: There is some proof that this game was enjoyed as far back as the 15th century, but don't listen to me read on...
( well if I wan't a noob, another amusing link would be here. search for 'LazyBrush', 'Lexigon' and '15th Century' for those will a will)
PPS: Maybe a kindly soul can post these two links in a reply?
PPS: Version 1.1 removes 'Read Contacts' Permission. Thanks for Comments!
I will check the game out..

Hello again,
Thanks for downloading and for the feeddback!
I use 'Scoreloop' for the online high score and it requires access to contacts. I know it sounds scary but I think that is standard for any online high score server isn't it? (I tried using GREE but it seemed very alpha when I did the port and so didn't compile!)
Yup, longer words more points. Later levels more points. Nice coloured Lexigons more points, blue and green. Bad coloured ones less points, black and red. You can tap to select letters and double tap to submit word, or much faster just slide and release to submit word makes the game very fast.
Glad you all liked it, all I need now is more downloads. I feel like Agent Smith from Matrix....MORE....
Thanks again,
Andy

I've done a little more digging why Scoreloop require, or should I say, in the integration guide said I needed to include access to contacts.
This article, (I'm still a noob - so URL changed to not be a URL), talks of another developer using scoreloop asking the same question.
http support.scoreloop.com discussions/questions/78-read_contacts-permission-for-android
Seems I can remove the permissions for contacts read without a problem. I will do that promptly.
Thanks again,
Andy
really fun game, thank you! Works perfectly on MM2.
Update
Hi,
So I've update this game without the Read Contacts permission. Game still works fine! Thanks again for trying the game and all the comments!
Have Fun,
andy
Great game, very addictive!
However, the game/server doesn't seem to be logging my scores...
When I start the game, it says my high score is 2800... despite having gone over 50,000 a few times. In fact, I just did 65,000 (? - not sure of the exact score now, since there is no record), it didn't appear on that game server.
How about a game pause/resume option, as well as a highscore chart on the phone itself (by playerID: points & level)?
And while I'm thinking , how about adding a different dictionary? I'd love to play this in Spanish too!
I'd also like to understand how to maximise the score, do the letters have an implicit value like in Scrabble? And how are they multiplied/(divided?) by the different colours? I see that getting a 6 letter word generates a lot of points, so is 6 much better than 5, which in turn is much better than 3, etc?
Hello everyone,
here is my first game called "HeadacheFactory".
I wanted to create a game without any enemies. The only enemy you have is your sense of orientation which you will surely lose in the process of the game.
And even though I didn’t believe anyone would ever make it through the first level, my youngest nephew managed it after just two days. So, I had to create another more complicated level.
It is available on google play. Just search for HeadacheFactory.
Let me know what you think and of course post problems running the game on your device...
Regards
Thomas

You have to navigate through a labyrinth. If you touch the walls, you have to start from the beginning or a savepoint that you have reached before. You've got to collect the purple dots, otherwise the grey square is growing and it is even harder to get through the labyrinth. And to make it even harder, the hole playground is rotating and zooming in and out, so you are going to lose your sense of orientation.
There is a little video on google play, that explains the gameplay. But the best way is to start playing. My nephews love it...

Missing this days big forum like XDA, i was a active user in Android Central now into XDA.
The game concept is interesting, please upload the screen shot.

Hello everyone!
I'd love to introduce you to one of my game called "Magic Land"!
Some basic information about the game:
The game uses the ANDENGINE with the following extensions:
- Limbo
- TMXTiledMapExtension
- PixelPerfectCollisionDetection
- GooglePlayServices.
Game features:
There are a total of 45 levels (3 worlds, 15 levels each). Worlds 1 and 2 are easy-ish, however, world 3 is really hard, it's going to take you some time and thinking to complete it.
You can save your time and deaths counter for each level and compare them with other players from all around the globe. You can also log in to the Google+ services and see your and others results on the Google Play platform.
Controls are really easy, you can choose one out of two available options, which are ANALOG and DIGITAL. Using the DIGTAL setting you can move your character up, down, left and right. Using the ANALOG setting you can move your character up, down, left, right and diagonally.
If you can, please, download my game, rate it, and leave your comment. Constructive criticism is always appreciated, as it helps me improve! If you find any bugs feel free to forward them to me, thanks!

Good game, only thing that could be really improved is the way the item is controlled. (Joystick)
Cool game. Addictive.
But it is really difficult to control the square. And in my opinion it is the main difficulty of the game.

yeah right now there's a bug with the back button. Just close the app, and register using an email. You don't need Facebook to login.

I think that it is really good! What markets for ads do you use?
Great game! Landscape really is more engaging than portrait for games.
Hi there! I'd like to announce my new game.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pixeloxygen.internalclock
Gameplay
I find the idea of the game quite unusual, but my opinion might be biased, since its my own game
So, in this game you won’t need to jump, fly, shoot or anything like that. Instead you will need to observe a spinning arrow and understand how fast its spinning. Then, when you’re ready, you need to tap the START button and the arrow will become invisible.
However, it won’t stop and will continue moving. Now, your goal is to predict when to press STOP so that the arrow stopped inside a sector on the circle, which appears right after you push START.
This sounds quite simple, but I find the game quite addictive. Of course the game gets harder each level to keep you entertained!
Also, I guess it should help you training your internal (aka mental) clock, this means playing this game is good for your brain

Pretty cool man!
Interesting game, the graphics are very clean and straightforward. Easy to play, good job man
Really addictive game. Spent quite some time after installing although initially only wanted to take a quick look!
Good
Thanks everyone for comments! It is really great to get some feedback after working alone on this game!
Enjoyed the game, its actually quite different from existing games which is rare. I do have a few suggestions though
Personally I'd prefer it if the button moved a little faster, felt a little slow paced
The name is very hard to find by searching, although I like the name there are a LOT of apps trying to rank for Ninja
I found it irritating having to start again at level 1 after losing on a higher level
Personally I don't like it when apps disable the back button

Thanks a lot for such a detailed feedback! I really appreciate this!
I know about the name, but to be honest I don't know if any name will guarantee you any visibility in Google Play, since even by a search query "Time Ninja" my app doesn't show.
I also thought that restarting from the first level might be not the best decision, but I wanted to create a game that is really hard to master, but in the same time you can play in it any amount of time (e.g. while waiting for the bus or standing in line). By the way if you close the game at Level N you won't have to restart when you open it next time. So you don't need to beat as much levels as you can at once. On the other hand, I didn't want that players just beat all levels by randomly pushing the START/STOP buttons, and if you have nothing to lose (i.e. game progress) then you won't try as hard as you can on every level.
However, I might add another play mode in the game where you need to beat levels and current mode will stay as an "endless mode".
Regarding the back button. I'm using cocos2d-x for development and not doing something intentionally (e.g. didn't write any specific code) to block back button. I'll take a look at this. Thanks for letting me know!
Once again, thank you for detailed feedback!
On the subject of the name there are a number of things that affect your rank for a search term, one is downloads (which you can't do much about) but another is how many times the term appears in your description (up to 5 occurances). You don't have Time Ninja in your description at all. Fitting it (naturally) into your description several times probably still won't get you to the top but will probably put you on the page.
Thanks! I didn't know that app description matters so much. I guess I'll need to go and read more about marketing before making improvements and working on my next game
Good
