Yes it can work, if you change the firmware to the verizon one, i did it with my s8+, search any firmware galaxy s8

Yes.
Remember, if its not unlocked, it will not work

Verizon doesn't sell the Active version so there will not be one that works for VZ.

I have been all over Google, and I can only find a reference to "Verizon" S5 or "At&T" S5 and my phone will be neither.
It's not a phone that has a SIM that is locked into one carrier.
From what I've been reading online,
I'm not sure if there would be a difference.
So yes, I've already been to Google land on this.

What version of the s5 do you have? Go to settings and click about phone then reply with your model number.

hi please am in Ghana i have galaxy s5 sprint (sm g900p) which is unlocked but am having boot loop issues,ive used odin to flash a few samsung devices perfectly, and i know sprint is a US network which mean any sprint phone needed to be unlocked to be used here in Ghana,what happens if i flashed my unlocked sprint s5 with any other sprint s5 firmeware? will i still need to unlock my phone before using? thanks

You mentioned that you are new to rooting, so by any chance did you root your phone or at least unlock the bootloader? If you did this, than OTA updates generally stop working. I don't have a Samsung so I'm not sure I could tell you how to lock your bootloader again or if it is possible on a Samsung. I would go to the thread for your phone to get more help.

when i buy it the firmware version was marshmallow and device model was g920f
and then i upgrade it to nougat 7.0
and then i see tha model mumber is changed to g920p
i update firmware from a service centre
now everything going fine but probelm is that i cant access 4g network,i live in bangladesh.
my question is now
can i install sm g 920f nougat firmware in my s6?
i am little confused that when i bought it..it was g920f ..then after update its now 920p...
so is it possible to install?

Hi! So here's my problem folks!
A friend of mine told me he could root my Samsung Galaxy S6 (Telus - Canadian Variant) for me as I didn't have the time, although I have rooted phones before. BUT, he did not successfully do so. In fact, when I start the phone up, what I get is a TWRP load up screen I have gone through the settings in the TWRP menu and found a section where it says "No OS installed!". How do I fix this? I don't know which os to reinstall, or even how to do so. All I can tell you is that it's a Samsung Galaxy S6 that was originally on the Telus Network (Canada).
