Help finding stock GB (Gingerbread 2.3.5/2.3.6) image - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Either UCKJ2 or UCKK1 or UCLA3. All the links I've tried are dead. I'd prefer a twerp-flashable image, but anything will do.
Thanks

I have. That one only has the latest one (JB) for the i727. Updato also has ICS, but that one's for Mexico. I need the ATT one.

Late reply, I know but it's an old device without much interest ... except for a few of us hoarders.
All I can locate is the UCMC1 in a quick google search (also the only one I have squirreled away). The download link is still good here >>> https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1785999
See subject #3 within the post. If it helped thank the OP Vincom.

Original OP, are you still looking for a stock image. I have the skyrocket, I727UCLA3, 2.3.6, if your interested. I would need some help to learn how to get it off the phone, but if your willing, I'm willing. Let me know. I'll check back.

If you have twrp you could backup ONLY the system and boot partitions (don't back up any others). Then someone could use that nandriod to install the firmware on their device.

Stock ROM?

Not sure which is the best stock ROM here. Rooted my coworkers SK and flashed a stock ROM from Revolution, but it keeps hanging at the start screen. Can someone tell me how to get into recovery manually on this phone as well? Any help is much appreciated.
You flashed the ROM wrong & my ROM was wrongly built , ODIN back by using Ayoteddy's KG2 thread .

[Q] Returning to T-Mobile US Stock

My cousin is having issues with his phone and asked me if I could help him flash back to stock. I'm doing some forum searches but I can't seem to clearly find an odin rom to return to stock (as in out of the box T-Mobile US stock, unrooted). I'm not familiar with the different samsung versioning, ie. kd5, etc....so I think that's what's making it difficult for me to understand which to use. (I'm assuming it's got to be out there, and that I just don't understand what I'm seeing in my search results to figure it out. The lettering is confusing the crap out of me.)
I would appreciate it if someone who knows what's what can help and just point me to a link to the rom to flash? I've used Odin before, so I think I'm good from there. Thanks in advance.
[EDIT] I'm still doing some searching....should I just grab this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1183413
and then follow step 1 - 8 here to flash?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1215748
[another EDIT]
...sounds like this one-click "Fully back to stock UVKJ6" is what I need, can someone smarter than me confirm this?

I'm not 100% about the latter one you posted; I'd have to go read through the whole thread. However Raver posted an ODIN version of Samsung's official KJ6 ROM here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1353176
Make sure you factory data reset after you flash to clear your cousin's data off of the phone.

Yes, just make sure it's the Odin one.
Android 2.2 (KD1 Froyo) was stock on my phone purchased in November 2011. To obtain a non-rooted version with no alterations to the recovery mode, check the official samsung site here:
http://ars.samsung.com/customer/usa...ID=2&PROD_SUB_ID=557&PROD_ID=560&AT_ID=373879
All the other versions I've ever ODIN'd including Ravers "KJ6 stock only" came pre-rooted.
KD1 was fast and smart but 2.3.6 Gingerbread (KJ6) is faster, even though an official GB release was made for the SGS4G, it is not considered stock equipment.

We have a thread with the KD1 complete stock firmware.
Samfirmware.com doesn't have the files on their site anymore. They are SamMobile.com now.

[Q] WANTED: Rogers I727R Stock Android ROM

I have been searching (the forums, the google, and more) for the SGH-I727R_RWC_I727RUXKJ7_I727RRWCKJ7_I727RUXKJ7 stock Rogers ROM.
I want to have a fail-safe in the event of a soft-brick, and it looks like all previous uploads and other freely accessible methods of obtaining this ROM have turned into dead or deleted links. RapidShare, Hotfile, and MegaUpload (obviously) have all ceased to host this ROM.
Letitbit, a Russian filehost, seems to be the only place still hosting it, and each time I attempt to download it from them the archive gets corrupted at a different point during the download(thanks CRC Check).
I really want try out some of these ICS ROMS, but I'd like to be able to return to stock if everything goes wrong, or I don't like it.
Does anyone out there have the SGH-I727R_RWC_I727RUXKJ7_I727RRWCKJ7_I727RUXKJ7 ROM, and are willing to upload it?
Much Thanks.

Anyone wanna mirror that via dropbox for a couple hours so i can download it? I'm too lazy to sign up just for a tar lol
Isn't there a stock I727R tar. In the dev section? Under the how to tar Odin return to stock thread. I think the one that doesn't trigger the flash counter is 10-20 pages in.

Read this thread, section 6
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1762709
Also the issue you are most likely seeing is because you tried to flash a ROM with a kernel without first unlocking your bootloader. This is also explained in the above thread.

Can you get into recovery? If so wipe/factory restore and flash the stock ROM or a custom one WITHOUT a custom kernel. I would suggest just going back to stock ROM and starting fresh. If you made a backup (which you should have) you can just go back to that too. Just remember to unlock your bootloader before you put a new ROM on.

Yes you must flash the stock kernel after the vzw screen of death. Using root66 makes it easier to get back up and running. One less thing to do and you can then down load ez unlock & ez recovery to unlock boktloader/ flash cwm.

Seems like it. I flashed the one from invisiblek's modem thread with the filename VRLI5.modem.zip and it's working fine for me.
EDIT: Never mind, that's not the modem. According to this post it seems to be related to power management. I never flashed it, unless it was included with the modem zip.

YEs it is . use the link that i posted to take you to rootzwiki and download it there.
what is this talk of .RPM on touchwiz jellybean? i have searched and found little info... sorry op not trying to hijack your thread!
Here's a couple posts I found earlier today about rpm:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33187381&postcount=4155
and this latter one is more descriptive about what changes with OTA's and apparently only the rpm is of consequence...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=32538851&postcount=3532
and finalement, here's a post with the JB leak's rpm:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33557322&postcount=260
Now I still don't know what this does other than exist.

I'm still new to Samsung, so someone correct me if I'm way off-base, but the gist I got was that when a new rom (or leak) comes from verizon, it includes rom+kernel+rpm+modem... which on an HTC device we called rom+kernel+firmware+radio. So my understanding is that if you just flash the new radios without the new firmware that matches up with what your dev used as a base, there could be compatibility issues.
(Much more knowledgeable people discussed this in the Cleanrom thread as in those links above).
i understand all of that...just trying to figure out what exactly is rpm. thx !

In simple terms if I understand correctly it installs files that you don't get in flashing a ROM. Gives you an option if you don't want to go back to stock via Odin and OTA back up to current version.

If you Odin to a prior version of stock, it should be included in the zip which simultaneously changes the modem. The reason an rpm is being discussed is because when flashing custom roms and modems, this isn't updated. Think of an Odin flash of older images as "reversing an update," all those same files are added when you accept an OTA, so they'll be changed if you Odin an older stock image.
If I'm wrong, I'll gladly redact my comment but that's what I understand from this discussion.

Thanks, it's starting to make more sense to me. I'm not unfamiliar with root but typically only do so to eliminate bloat, otherwise I'm happy with stock builds. The JB leak changed things a little so I want to get a better handle on what I'm installing and why.
stable
Why can't this just be simple.....I just want a good stable everything and then leave it alone.....Will that ever happen?

flash back to stock and leave your device alone...pretty simple.
So if we revert to a ROM backup, do we need to manually turn back the rpm as well, like we do with the modem? Sounds like we need vrali5 for jb leak. I will play around with jb for awhile though go back to ICS for everyday stability use, until I find a jb I like. Do I need to revert the rpm when I restore ICS? Where do I find older rpms. Thanks.
