Fail to hard and softreset - Samsung Gear S2

Hello everyone
I have problem with my gear S2 info says that is sm-r720 with soft r720xxu2eqj2
My smartwatch suddenly starts to drain the battery (about 2-4 hours after full charge) ordinary restart didn't help, also i can't uninstall watchfaces, they return after a restarts. When I tried to perform a soft reset, I take a while and after a reboot look like nothing happens, all watch faces, apps remain. Its also paired to my smartphone. So i tryied hard reset too, restart when i see title "restarting" i clicked until i see "Select BOOT MODE" i choosing "recovery" and hold power button for a couple of seconds, and watch boots normally. So there is any other way to fix power drain? I thinking about re-flashing gear but I don't know where I can find suitable soft? I know there is many subversions of gear S2 I don't want to make things worst by flashing with wrong software.
Thanks a lot for help

Strange...
Few hours/days ago somebody else report something similar...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s2/help/gear-s2-wont-perform-factory-reset-t3737448
Can you please try to enter this Code:
Code:
*#9900#
Try to run log dump...
Please report if this Code is accepted or not...
Look at this attached Video... Gear S2 have similar menus...

Hello
The symptoms look the same I bet that samsung released flawed update, that affecting some gears.
I have typed code and watch says:
Log file is created /opt/user/media/SLP_debug
How to get log out of gear 2? I have googling with no luck...

I am using Tool SDB...
Look here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74585286&postcount=330
Command to pull files from media folder in Tizen 2.3:
Code:
sdb pull /opt/usr/media
In theory also in other ways possible... for instance with Filemanger App...
But I know only 1 for free... all other Filemanagers are for money only in Store...
So I have no own tests...
But SDB is no Rocket Science.
Best Regards

Hello Again,
I installed two paid file managers, none of them was able to locate and send log file.
I think the only way is to flash with new ROM, could you point a proper ROM software?

@CyCNIK
1 reason could be:
. in filename... so hidden file...
Please, try SDB Tool before you try to flash...
It is really no Rocket Science... nearly all instruction is inside this Link:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74585286&postcount=330
I mean I have 2 userS with write protected devices...
User 1 with Gear S2... and he allready tried flashing more then 1 Firmware without success...
And SM-R760 has write protected Bootloader...
Maybe better to have Log files... before waste time with same result...
Btw... risk to render your Gear S2 useless... if really something happens to Security... or eMMC damaged...
Thanx in advance.
Here is Log dump from SM-R765A... as example:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75472253&postcount=419
It contains infos about Booting process etc...
Maybe we can find problems by analyzing your Log File...
WARNING!
Not share in public your LOG... possible contains private data...
PM me if done...
Best Regards

Hello
It's easier then i think
I'm sending now a private message with log

Hmmm.
No idea yet.
Next attempt is to flash Firmware... but chance is low... for success/repair...
netOdin and frew Infos like Videos are here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73503787&postcount=150
Firmware you can find hopefully here...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s2/general/tutorial-downgrade-gear-s2-sport-t3334123
No matter.. use this Firmware which Link is not expired...
Be sure you find SM-R720 Firmware.
EQH1 could be here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s2/general/gear-s2-firmwares-r720-r732-t3684789
Or older BOKK:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73948041&postcount=178
Yes, Link seems alive:
https://www.file-upload.net/download-12731427/smR720_BOKK_OXA.zip.html
So better first try with BOKK... lower Security s h i ttt.
Again.
Possible not flashed correctly...
Or worst case scenario... you will brick...
Only if big BIG luck this repairs your device...
Good luck.
For me it looks like Hardware damage... maybe eMMC could be half dead...
Anyway, without trying... we will not know.
Best Regards

Hello
I flashed with new firmware and... nothing happened. When Odin finished uploading new ROM, (all 3 files), gear restart.. with no change.
I assume that new ROM should be installed. I repeat procedure twice for make sure, with no luck. I think the only way to fix it is to replace the mainboard, as could be more expensive than a new watch.
Thanks for help
Best Regards

@CyCNIK
Only to be sure.
You have tried the Combination Firmware too?
Best Regards

My eMCC seems really dead:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=82026221&postcount=258
Because I am stuck in Combination Firmware I can perform few system Tools...

[ROM][BL][CSC][PIT] Samsung Gear S3 Classic SM-R770 [R770XXU2BQC5]

Hey my friends!
I'm really really thankfully our kind member: adfree who helped me yesterday to unbrick my watch, which had no wifi enabled, so I was totally desperate I lost 300 pounds. So as a thanks I'd like to give back some for this community. I bought the newest ROM, I'd like to share it with you guys.
I share the R770XXU2BQC5 with you.
I uploaded it to OneDrive, please feel free to download it.
Download R770XXU2BQC5
Please note this ROM is for SM-R770 Gear S3 Classic
Installation process:
(Many thanks for se47)
For flashing need NetOdin: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AiN2zfzVljOkgfNqAmRV7_n54YOdgQ
Step 1: On your S3 press then hold the Home/Power button until you see the S3 screen shows up "Rebooting..."
Step 2: Release the Home/Power button then quick Press it again 03 times.
Next step, you need to be a bit quicker.
Step 3: Use the Home/Power button to navigate to "Download (wireless)" option, then Press & Hold the Home/Power button to select. You have to be real quick otherwise your S3 will reboot.
Step 4: Press the Home/Power button twice, you will see the "[WPS Mode]" change to "[AP Mode]"
Step 5: Choose the Access point with the same name appears on your S3.
Step 6: Your S3 will show that it's been connected to the IP of your computer.
Step 7: Open the Odin, your S3 will show up.
Step 8: Choose the right file for each Option BL, AP and CSC from the files you extract after downloading. Then press Start and wait the PASS (15-20 minutes)
Enjoy
P.S.: I would also like to mention how I unbricked my Gear S3 (Many thanks for BokkieAndijk)
... i found info how to get my S3 back to live again. If you have the same problems with your (bricked) S3 then go to download wirelessly mode en as soon as you see the flower then push the power button 2 seconds en let it go for 1 second, than push it again for 2 seconds en let it go for one and so on til you get him in to download wirelessly mode. May take some attempts but it saves my ass a few times.

Success!! R770X changed to R770 with BQC5 firmware!
I can confirm that BQC5 firmware works on my R770X! I now have a fully functioning Gear S3 Classic and it now states R770 with no X at the end. After all the files loaded on NetOdin the watch restarted with French being the only language. Luckily I do Read\Hear\Write it so I went through the process of connecting the gear through the Gear Manager on my S7 Edge and it connected perfectly and then it changed the language to English!
Upon my web search I noticed that the stores where using S7 Edge's to install the Retail Mode app on the watches so I figured that they were retail watches and that meant it was installing\changing the firmware with an X at the end only to differentiate and grab the correct OTA updates. It made sense because when I temporarily disabled Retail Mode within the app itself all the antennas worked (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Location and NFC) so I knew I had a chance that a stock firmware might work.
I hope this helps out anyone else in my situation. I followed the post with the BQC5 and used those files to accomplish this.
Thank you adfree for all your great help. And also xedamen for your tutorial post. Without both your help & guidance I would have stared at a very expensive watch show me the wrong time.
Repost from the other thread. (Sorry, I don't know if that is how it's done).

Nice, it's good news for those who needed
Thank you for a guide and ROM.
What is the country origin of this ROM?
I have the same ROM version installed on my watch and wonder if reflashing could help with SPay (watch was purchased in a country where SPay in not supported) by changing CSC.
Firmware package for OXA region contains more then 1 CSC/Country/Sales Code....
Simple download Firmware and extract files with 7Zip from CSC.
To detect which Sales Code is ACTIVE on your device... look here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73265182&postcount=68
Only as info.

Hi, thank you for your reply.
As I understand OXA contains several countries.
Is there a way to change country of sales, I need to change it from Ukraine to Sweden?
Thank you.

Yes.
But it is not really easy nor very safe...
You need ROOT access... and at the moment only Combination Firmware offer this...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s3/development/rom-samsung-gear-s3-sm-r770-t3584402
And their is no 1 click instruction available...
Caution!
I have my own experience only with SM-R732... and some feedback with SM-R760...
So you are at your own with SM-R770...
Risk to brick your device...
Best Regards
I wonder why it doesn't work after reflashing new rom and csc. I understand that OXA is multi region, but wouldn't it work after reflashing non-OXA CSC/rom and back...
If you unpack Firmware and concentrate your eyes on csc.img... use 7Zip for extraction...
Then you can see several folders...
Example DBT for instance...
Code:
DBT
SER
XAR
.
.
.
MANY more countries/Sales Codes supported...
If this text string aka Sales Code is written into your Gear... then device is AUTOMATIC configured for DBT...
I mean this CSC/Sales Code or how ever you want call it... is NOT new since Gear Wearables...
This is since years used mechanism for Samsung handsets...
You could try to google...
Best Regards
Hi adfree!
What do you mean "automatically configured to DBT"?

Feel free to ask me in German.
My English is very limited...
I mean device is doing all configuration WITHOUT ask you... by reading some Settings stored on device...
automatic/self configuration vs. you can choose/select

Hi, your English is good, much better than my German This mechanism of automatic assignment is interesting, I wonder if somebody has found this out.
I think I was reading a thread on forums that people were reflashing different roms and eventually it worked out to change an origin country but it seems like a random process.
Do you know if rom change need a root?

We could try to learn together.
Step by step.
First good idea is to start from scratch... at the beginning...
Lesson 1.
Download Firmware
Lesson 2.
Unpack with Tool called 7Zip...
2.1
Unpack/extract files from csc.img with 7Zip
3.
Now click through folders and look into folder:
Code:
preconfig\
Tell me what you can see...

Pasdrawlaju tebja. :good:
Again.
This Firmware is for all countries... for model:
Code:
SM-R770
Gear S3 is NO model name... it is """pet name""" and irrelevant as more then 1 model exists...
Code:
SM-R760
SM-R770
SM-R765 and few more variants of...
.
.
.
In Computer world we have only 0 or 1... and it is better to be Byte exact.
So there are BIG difference between:
Code:
o
O
0
Looks similar or same for as humans... but in Computer world these are exact 3 different Chars...
Back to Samsung handset/wearable...
They differ through CSC blablaba crap...
Few examples...
Code:
XAR is US
DBT is Germany
SEK is Ukraine and inside csc.img
SEK is visible in Product Code... if you concentrate your eyes on it...
http://www.samsung.com/ua_ru/wearables/gear-s3-classic-r770/
Code:
SM-R770NZSA[B]SEK[/B]
These 3 Chars are written into Wearable/handset... and are not ever easy to change...
But you have to change inside your device...
Firmware will NOT help you...
SPay crap is not 100 % clear to me, how it work...
If it need an chain...
Like XAR Sales Code in all 2 devices...
Handset + Wearable...
First attempt would be to change your SEK Sales Code to XAR...
It is only theory... I hope XAR is Samsung Pay supported country number 1... because USA
But Samsung Pay is not really interesting for me...
Sales Code is also important if I want to play with Firmware...
Btw... if you unpack all files from Firmware... rootfs.img... then you will find Samsung Pay TPK inside...
Best Regards
Rookie question, CSC file is zipped, then md5, then img.
If I edit one of the files in .img, how do I pack it back to iso and then to md5?
Also can I flash it to the watch without root, knox change etc.?
In preset folder there is nothing than language preset.
MPS folder has some customer settings which are more interesting.
If I edit one of the files in .img, how do I pack it back to iso and then to md5?

Be care fully...
1.
This is "special" TAR Format...
You can "ignore" MD5... this is only for selfcheck... to prevent damage TAR file...
2.
csc.img is an Image of an Linux partition...
Extraction is easier as create valid csc.img with Windows...
Better under Linux mount blabla...
3.
Fnimanie!
Gear S3 is not really Modding friendly...
Higher Security as in Gear S2...
Risk to end up in Bootloop and disabled WiFi...
Best Regards
Has anyone managed to change the area code on your Gear S3? I need to use Samsung Pay and hand it on.
Does anyone know tell me how to change the firmware of Samsung Gear S3 so that it accesses the Samsung Pay app? Has anyone ever succeeded?
Samsung Gear S Smartwatch SM-R750
Hi, am looking for a way to fix and or change my firmware on my SM-R750 Samsung Gear S which was purchased From Hong Kong and to change it to Canada. can anyone please help with this? thank you.

SM-R765F Teardown

Dear friends,
I found that the LTE connection is very useful when you have to leave your mobile somewhere and you can get calls and notifications through mobile connection.
I bought a Gear S3 LTE (R765) from a Singapore site because in Italy it is not available.
I sadly discovered that i couldn't register a TIM eSIM (Italian Mobile) because, while executing the registration process, I had the answer "...Can't connect to the server ...".
So I kept reading around how to solve the problem...
My first attempt was to flash a 765v hoping a different rom could help me in registering the italian eSIM on my device....: Yellow triangle brick!!!!!
Thank to the senior member adfree I realized that I flashed a Version 2 Bootloader and I could not downgrade it back.
I tried to flash another rom, a proper one for 765f, but with a BL ver.1 : brick again but in a different way: the device started with the starting screen (Gear s3 Frontier...) then it just seemed to switch off...
Trying to enter again in the Odin menu ( home button for 8-9 sec - reboot - 3 times home button - download wireless )... it was just stuck in the Tizen logo.
Here https://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s3/how-to/rom-samsung-gear-s3-classic-sm-r770-t3646789 I found this quote from xedaman about BokkieAndijk:
Quote:
... i found info how to get my S3 back to live again.
I did it and i worked fine!
It gave me the opportunity to flash a custom rom from 765v. I thought that a custom rom would have been accepted from a V2 BL.... NOPE!
Now I am stuck again: the divice boots but remains to the booting screen (Gear s3 Frontier...). I tried to enter in Odin menu and every thing works but download wireless: It remains stuck on the Tizen Logo.
I tried to apply the same technique I used to unbrick it before but seems unuseful.
So I decided to open the device and I discovered that , as adfree said a few times, just the LTE versions have a side pinout near the strap band.
Opening the device I saw that the side pinout (5 pins) is connectd to the motherboard well known 5 pins.
I am now posting here the pics of the device opened hoping someone can help me to unbrick the device explaining how to connect the s3 pinout to a pc to let me flash it with usb odin and downgrade the BL... OR, if someone knows how to unbrick the device with another button combination, please post it!
Best Regards
P.S.
Opening the device I ruined screws and back cover, do anyone knows where to by a new backcover and some F**** (freaking) normal screws of that size?
Hello.
Thanx for posting the Pictures.
On Ebay and other sources I found Rear Case from SM-R760... which maybe is compatible with SM-R765... for around 30 $ or less...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73454226&postcount=294
But GH82-12922A I think is without Flex cable and external Pinout...
Code:
Rear Case
SM-R760 GH82-12922A
SM-R770 GH82-12954A
SM-R765 ???
In theory it would be very easy to trace PINOUT from Rear Case of SM-R765... with Voltmeter/Multimeter...
Best Regards
I don't really know a clue about the electricity topic, if i buy a voltmeter, would you explain me how to trace the pinout map?
Is it possible that doesn't exist a flexcable for s2 and x3 LTE?
Which keyword would you suggest?
About trace Pinout... look here:
https://learn.adafruit.com/multimeters/continuity
Maybe friends or family have Voltmeter... Or somebody can help you...
If you use Google and search for GH82-12922A or GH82-12954A you will find few offers...
Code:
Rear Case
SM-R760 GH82-12922A
SM-R770 GH82-12954A
SM-R765 ???
But here is difference between SM-R760 and SM-R765 visible:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73400968&postcount=293
Maybe you could ask sellers on Ebay... if they have this part for SM-R765... with Flex cable...
As I saw in main only Pictures of 1 side... not of both...
I spend many hours of clicking around through Internet...
Still it is not really easy to find SM-R765 infos nor users...
At the moment I am trying to find also Service Manual of SM-R730... Gear S2...
Maybe additional usefull Infos inside... about external Pinout...
But also here... hard to find...
Best Regards

Interesting... if I am not drunken or blind... your result looks like my used SM-R732 Pinout...

I have at the moment NO idea how to connect to these PINs...
MAYBE Service Manual from:
Code:
SM-R730
and/[B]or[/B]
SM-R765
Can give additional Infos...
No idea if you can create Connector... if this is same dimension like on my SM-R732... this is so f%&ing small tiny...
It is untested THEORY...
Risk to Hardware damage Gear and/or USB Port of your Computer...
So please be VERY carefully before you trying something...
We will try to collect more infos...
Maybe somebody can support us/you...
Thanx in advance.

Here i am.
It took time but...
I just soldered wires ( with a little help from my friends...) on my 765f as you can see from the pics below.
I soldered the wires on the outside pinout of the watch.... I connected but usb port.... now I think I need your help.
Try to contact this user...

Maybe work together to get Firmware for SM-R765F and SM-R765S...
Caution!
Be carefully with soldered wires... you can also damage your USB Port on Computer side...
Maybe you have older PC for test...
Suggestion...
1.
In theory best idea to start if you have Firmware for SM-R765F...
Yes I know it is hard...
2.
To check if Pinout and Soldering is correct successfully...
You could read out PIT (patition table) from Device with Tool Heimdall for instance...
3.
If wires correct...
Charging should be possible...
4.
If Windows Driver not connected... you see Error in Download Mode...
Check Device Manager...
Then ONLY try to switch RX and TX... NOT the other cables
Best Regards
Progress about PIT file...

We have now:
Code:

ATT PIT hopefully follow... soon...
And with help of SM-R765S user we can hopefully soon compare SM-R765F PIT...

Hello,
I have a bricked sm-765s.
If you have a multimeter can you measure which pin is the GND? I did not take the watch apart yet, but successfully connected it to my pc using this posts information and a home made touch pins. I am not sure about the gnd pin because the usb connection will work either way, using the gnd and the not used (maybe JIG) pin.

In theory something like this:
Code:
heimdall download-pit --no-reboot --output mydevice.pit
3.
What you are trying to flash?
You have meanwhile SM-R765F Firmware?
Be carefully... to mix Firmware could be very RISKy to reach state where you have big problems to repair device...
Best Regards
You could try Tizen 4...
http://download.tizen.org/prereleas.../images/standard/wearable-wayland-armv7l-tw2/
Code:
tizen-unified_20170830.2.20170901.191411_wearable-wayland-armv7l-tw2.tar.gz
For ODIN use unpack/extract TAR file... for instance 7Zip extract the TAR file...
These are temporary Links... maybe soon removed... then start from here:
http://download.tizen.org/prerelease/tizen/unified/
Important... file ends with tw2... for Gear S3
Code:
dzImage
ramdisk-recovery.img
ramdisk.img
rootfs.img
system-data.img
user.img
SBOOT Bootloader untouched... unsiged...
Maybe luck it start...
If not, I have few older Images... Tizen 3 and 4... maybe we find one to start SM-R765 for further repair attempts... deeper investigation...
As these Firmwares are rooted...
SIDEeffect...
WIFI disabled by default... also no Download wireless work...
So only "safe"... if USB cable work...
Best Regards
To be precise I am stuck here:
1. heimdall not working
2.downloading Tizen 4
"SBOOT Bootloader untouched... unsiged..." you mean i will find a SBOOT file to use instead of the BL?
"SBOOT Bootloader untouched... unsiged..." you mean i will find a SBOOT file to use instead of the BL?

I mean Tizen TEST Firmware is lower Security crap...
Retail Firmware is highER Security crap... to prevent easy flashing of different Firmware.
It is never an good idea to play with Bootloader... from different models...
If luck and Tizen 4 Firmware start...
Success 1 could be you see something on Display...
Or
Success Variant 2...
Display Driver not correct but SDB work...
Tizen 4 have NO own SBOOT inside.
This is good. :good:
Prevent more trouble as you allready have.
Best Regards
Edit 1.
Added Screenshot...
Only 1 TAR file... nothing else to flash Tizen 3 or 4 Images...
Step 1.
Use for instance 7Zip to extract TAR file from TAR.gz
You mean: all the content of the dozen 4 compressed in a tar file and flashed?
May you please detail the operation I have to do to flash tizen 4 on the device?
I arrived to the semi-last step and I am stuck again.
P.S.
...bug I must confess that it is true: sometimes is more interesting the trip than the result.
I was a member of this awesome forum years ago, now, working on 765f I have renewed an old hobby.

Searching for user data stored on the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier

Hello guys,
I'm searching for the GPS coordinates (location where the smartwatch has been) and where I can find the heart rate numbers with timestamp from the user.
I'm also interested in local stored user messages, agenda and information about the smartphone that was connected.
I pulled all the data from my smartwatch using Tizen Studio "Device Manager" and got all the folders on my computer. I searched all day but I only found my pictures and music.
Hope you guys can help me with my little school project.
Thanks for helping me out!
Why would you want that information from your watch, when you can just get your location history from your phone?

I'm following a forensic course (school) and when your doing an investigation, you don't always find a smartphone and a smartwatch together. The suspect can hide the phone during an investigation or someone got killed and the smartphone is gone, but the victim is wearing a watch (just examples).
I'm trying to find out how much user information I can get from the smartwatch. I know that most of the important data is on the smartphone, but there must be something on the smartwatch.
1.
Not forget... Samsung have Security... and Samsung trying increase Security...
So IMHO Tizen 2.3 has less Security as Tizen 3 and 4
For instance in Tizen 2.3 Firmware I have more access to files and folders... AFTER Rooting
2.
LTE devices have USB port... SM-R760 and SM-R770 not...
So playing with devices like SM-R765... SM-R775 are "easier" with USB cable and RDX Tool told in this Thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/smartwatch/gear-s3/creating-forensic-image-t3923994
No idea if this is Top Secret to know which device you have...
If I am back at home... I can show you my Tizen 3 dump (screenshot)...
2 GB if I remember correct... User partition...
And I can load this 2 GB dump with WinHex... or extract all files and folders with 7Zip...
With SDB and/or Root I have not full access...
Read protection from Samsung...
Best Regards

Thanks for your reply!
I have the model SM-R760, with the Tizen version 3.0.0.2 (no LTE). The folders that I pulled are combined 1.22GB in size. I had to pull every folder individual because of an error that I get from pulling them all together with Tizen Studio.
So the databases for heart-rate and geolocation are encrypted (also with root) and that's the reason why I cannot find them? What I have found are my pictures and music files.
My last option is to do a chip-off.
3 pictures of my pulled folders and my SDB pull with Tizen Studio:

I'm not finding the folder "location" [opt->usr->data->?]
What SDB command do you use for pulling?
Thanks for you help! I really appreciate it!

Yeah I see that the Tool RDX (Rumdump Extractor) is only working for the LTE version.
If you can check that for me, I really appreciate it!
Thanks mate!

Heart sensor doesn't work anymore

I thought maybe the firmware needed updating but thru wifi nothing comes up. Also, since im using a custom ROM i cant connect with wearable. Does anyone know a way to install applications or place music files on the watch without gear wearables because without the heart sensor and the music this is an extremely expensive watch.
Can you give more details about your "Custom ROM"...
Name or Link...
With Tool SDB and/or ADB you can install and copy files...
Best Regards

Its not a custom watch rom. Its a custom Phone rom, Blackdiamond for the S7. And the wearable app not working is a known issue.

I connected my watch to a friends un modded galaxy and it put all the programs on it that I can't. So could I repeat this procedure, since when I hard reset the device in desperation everything disappeared. And then use adb to push mp3 files to the phone? Or could I skip the middle man and install say, spotify or speedo go directly with adb?
Still don't know what happened to the sensor, it worked once, and then it didn't.

Help with firmware R732

Help with firmware R732.
I am flashing through WIFI, the firmware process is flawless, the phone restarts and voila, everything remains as it was, the old firmware and all the old settings. I tried to flash via soldered USB in various ways and programs, everywhere it gives an error during re-patition, although reading the patition and writing the pit file goes fine.
There is another feature (glitch), you change the settings in the watch, change or delete the dials, or record or delete files, and when you restart the clock everything is restored as before the change, even the dials that you deleted.
Welcome in Nightmare...
We are close to ZERO chance... with normal "magic"...
:crying:
If you have time and energy... we could try something with your device...
Because my USB connection is broken... :crying: :crying:
Look here... we are not alone...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/smartwatch/gear-s2/fail-to-hard-softreset-t3746359
This is what I have researched at the moment...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=82225983&postcount=262
I was able to kill my device by writing 1 wrong file several times... into rootfs.img...
This file is incompatible...
So IMHO eMCC is not dead but protected...
Maybe by crap Knox crap s h ehm Security...
No idea if really bad Blocks are reason for lock eMMC... or some other reason...
Best Regards
