I have an Mi6/6Gb/128Gb i bought it 3 weeks ago, Every time i made a Video Recording the Sound Quality is very very BAD even in the Live Video the same audio Problem.
Anyone know's ans face this issue on Mi6 or other Xiaomi Mobiles, can you please share your experience and how to fix this issue, this is really disappointed for this Flagship Model Xiaomi. I've done the update with the Latest MiUi but Problem still not solve.
i search and i found that the cause of issue was the AutoGain Control. Hope that someone help us to solve this.

I know this may be a repeat, and if so i apologize. I tried searching the forums but there was nothing in relation to this issue specifically....
I went to a concert on New years with a buddy of mine (who has an iphone 4), and we both recorded videos. The video quality on the NS seemed to be better than the 'iPhone 4", however the nexus audio quality in the video recording was just horrendous. the iphone 4 played the exact same video with lower video quality, but crystal clear audio.
on the NS you could hear nothing but BASS levels. Can anybody explain to me:
1. Why this happens on the NS and not on the iphone4?
2. Can this be solved with using an external headset?
3. Will this be fixed in any patches (720p recording, etc) or is it a hardware issue?
I'll upload the two videos for you to compare.
Edit: I'll have to get the actual video file from the iphone, but this should give you enough of an example.

may have something to do with the software based noise cancellation
Wait, is the Nexus S not hardware based noise cancellation? Correct me if im wrong, but the nexus 1 had a second microphone just for this?
Unless this is patched, this might be a dealbreaker for me as I use my camera recording, and audio recording frequently.

yup NS only has one microphone, i believe it is because there are some new noise cancellation stuff in 2.3...that doesnt really work
unless we are dealing with the some audio auto gain, like the same problem found in the SGS phones
Thanks for the response guys, this might just be reason enough for me to go back to the N1 until the NS has better updates.
I've seen some sample test 60fps videos captured on Realme 5 Pro and i noticed strange lag in the frames. Can you confirm this problem? These videos are uploaded in september, so i hope there is software update. Btw, i can't decide which phone to buy. My selected phones are Realme 5 Pro and Xiaomi MI A3.
Yes there is lag in 1080/60 fps. I compared this r5pro with r3pro and the latter had no issues with 60fps. Soc is almost same in both phones, and is fully capable for 60fps, so it must be a software based issue. I hope that Realme is aware of this problem.
Edit:
I'm on latest stock but problem is not solved so far
If you are writing video to a memory card, try writing to the phone’s memory, there may not be a delay.
RRealme 5 Pro 60 fps and slow motion video capturing problem
I have faced the same problem... I have reported to Realme in the Community app, but no fix provided yet.
There is also frame drop in slow motion videos (both 120 fps and 240 fps) every one second...
Yes, I just did a test on my Realme 5 Pro and there is indeed a lag problem on 1080/60fps videos.
I only care about 4K video, but this whole situation is getting ridiculous - so far R5P has been causing problem after problem after problem...
Immediate fixes are needed, so go ahead, write to Realme's support and ask them for an update. I doubt it that they care, but it won't hurt to try.
I've tried to report this issue to Realme via Bug Report at Realme Community Apps and email to Realme Indonesia (my country), Realme India and Realme China since last December 2019, unfortunately no response yet. Bravo Realme! You just add one dissapointed customer, that might reconsider other brand for next phone.
Go for mi9se. Stronger hardware than mi A3 and not low resolution screen. Same chipset as rm5p. I didn't hear such issues about mi9se
Hello,
I've made a lot research on google concerning the quality of the video recording about this phone.
All of the vids that i saw on YT are laggy / choppy in 4k resolution. Especially when panning. This is really not smooth and hard to see.
I'm really interested to buy this phone for his pictures quality.
Could you tell me if you have the same problem with your phones ? Some says that it causes by the weak chipset in it ( snapdragon 730g ), it's just the limitation of the system.
Thanks a lot.

On 20.3.5 i can say 4k videos are not choppy or skipping but when panning the effect is more similar to tearing.
Better stay on 1080p for videos.

Unfortunately videos are extremely laggy / choppy, even at 1080p 30fps when EIS is turned on. Without it, it's shaky, so there's no good solution. I don't know the reason, but it's very annoying, since they sell it (and i bought it) as a camera phone.
I've already asked around in this topic, you can also find 3 video samples that were recorded at 1080p 30fps : https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-note-10/help/laggy-videos-1080p-30fps-t4030027/amp/
I would say, it's a great phone, photo and video image quality is outsanding, but videos are laggy. Don't buy it if you are into video recording. Since updates are rare, i've lost my hope that Xiaomi would somehow solve this problem. (However: even the new Mi 10 and Mi 10 pro have stutters in their videos. They have flagship hardware, so it could be a software related issue, that could be solved through some update.)
I think the same, it might be software issue, so try recording google camera? Open camera?
EIS is horrible that's why phones like Mi 8 with OIS and no EIS destroys everything that followed, there's no workaround EIS frame drops, flickering, lags & stutters, if you need the best video stabilization on market you should go for Samsung's SuperSteady implementation
Hi guys. finally after too long, my band and i did a rehearsal.
i always record the rehearsals. this time it was with my new, mi note 10 phone. This is my first ever xiaomi, and i am very happy overall.
Unfortunately the recording was really abysmal.
it is as if some limiter was applied every time a real loud sound was picked by the phone. be it a crash cymbal or high distortion from guitar.
This resulted in really awful recording.
i used teh default recording app of xiaomi, in wav mode.
I havent seen such bad recording for more than 10 years. all my previous phones were excellent in recordings.
The question is what can be done about it?
is it software problem? i found another app that i need to try soon. it has option to choose front mic or back mic. (but i only see mics on top and bottom of the frame not on the back. wonder if it is global settings with no meaning.
if it is hardware problem, since i am rooted can it be fixed somehow?
or am i off to another phone?
is this a global xiaomi issue?
after such dissapointment i wonder if this problem is met in all new android phones...
any advice is appreciated. thank you
Thank you all for reading this question.
Since I bought my OnePlus 7 Pro Mclaren, when I send a recorded video, it sends it in very low quality. It's overly pixelated.
I would like to know if the same thing happens to you and how we solve this problem without resorting to root.
I think the problem is due to low bitrate process
