[Magisk Module] Hide Mock Locations from POGO - OnePlus 5T Themes, Apps, and Mods

Patched services.jar via a Magisk Module using smali patcher
Only patched to allow hiding of mock locations enabled for using GPS spoofer without detection. - Tested and working fine with Pokemon GO!
The services.jar was from oxygenOS 4.7.6 (Android 7.1.1) so will not work on Oreo roms
For anyone wanting to try it for another rom https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-smali-patcher-0-7-t3680053

I've not been banned yet, I think there's an xposed module that does something similar but I've always had issues with safetynet and xposed.
This was the method suggested on the subreddits I looked at

I have been shadow banned two times for disabling location services
With out disabling location services there was too much GPS jumping with that unable to play properly
I am using cloned version of GPS joystick by app ninjas
Btw which app u guys using ?

I haven't installed Magisk on my 5T. I use the Blackberry Work app to get my corporate email and I need it to work. It's good at detecting root so I haven't tried using Magisk on my 5T. I did install Magisk on my old Nexus 6P. I installed GPS Joystick by The App Ninjas (Play Store), moved the app to system (follow the GPS Joystick FAQ) using Lucky Patcher (www.luckypatcher.co) and kept location services on. I did get some rubberbanding (going from spoof location and real location) so I covered the top edges of my phone with some folded tin foil. I kept it in place with a rubber band. It stopped jumping locations. I haven't been shadow banned yet and hopefully won't.

i install magisk and move fake gps pro to system app. at the same time disable location services, solves rubberbanding very well. but its detected by pokemon and shadowban on all accounts.
if I dont disable location services, i will be rubberbanding. cover the back tin foil since not practical for daily travelling.

I recently installed Lsposed but I need to know wich app to whitelist for every modules. They told me to check the module scope list. Anybody can help

[Q] Differences between Pdroid and XPrivacy?

Hi I have been using pdroid (open pdroid actually) but am always on the lookout for a better (and hopefully easier to install) privacy application. I was hoping someone could point out the differences between OpenPDroid and XPrivacy. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
Cheers,

I have after years of pdroid use just switched to Xprivacy to try it out my findings:
-It's not as clear looking as Pdroid app
-It does have the ability to block more, but there are also things missing like "launch at startup"
-it does not have the ability to give user input data per app, you can give a self choosen IMEI to an app, but all other apps to have choosen to spoof IMEI will get the same one.. wich is less secure as it still creates a network of things connected to you... ):
-IT's not working very well,, on my S4, I block all the location things for maps, but it still gets my GPS location.. ): ): ): very dissapointing..
for now.. I think Xprivacy is just not ready yet,, Pdroid does it quite better

its not free software (as in freedom) i think, but u can try greenify root app.
launch on startup is a mistake in pdroid, imho. apps can hook so many events: startup, network connection changes, power changes (like a charger being plugged in), sd scanned, app installed, etc etc etc. any of these can start an app. the setting in openpdroid is ridiculous and misleading. i agree that its a problem that need be solved, but pdroid doesnt. so its ok, actually better, that xprivacy doesnt have said setting.
these things should be part of a different patch for a different objective, even though the configuration app might be shared.
greenify seems to be a real solution for this, u may want to look into it.
---------- Post added at 01:09 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:03 PM ----------
regarding location in maps, i seem to remember that it also happens with pdroid,
first, maps is google, they can grab network and wifi info and locate u with their servers, without ever using the location service on ur phone.
second, google is pushing more and more services into an autoupdating app called google play services, that has rights to everything. when an app uses a service (say location) from google play services, it gets the location. there is nothing pdroid can do. because google is closing source on android. android is silently becoming a closed source OS running on googles closed source services. we cannot legally look into it or modify it.
How about you (I'm not directing this at anyone in particular) look up the original XPrivacy thread and do some reading?!
All questions are answered there! And you won't have to post half-wisdom that is actually not true and misleading others!

How to disable New Google Play Protect

I notice google will installed and monitor (scan my device without my consent) with the new Google Play protect tool.
How to uninstall permanent or BLOCK it from scanning my device?
Google says it is an antivirus, but ALL antivirus are backdoor, same as samsung Smart Guard that send all your files on the background to Chetahh mobile.
I dont want to have ANY antivirus on my device, as all are backdoor now. Even kaspersky is backdoor, thats why USA has officially remove it from ALL their servers.
I am also trying to find out a way to completely disable it but no joy till yet, hopefully someone might build a app to do that, cheers.

That's called a PSA (Poisoned System Directories) warning from Google Play that warns users to uninstall various apps that Google determines as being bad for your device. For example, apps that are SELinux-related and others.
If you want, the following link has a nice little "how to" for Disabling those pesky "App is harmful" Security Alerts:
How to Disable the Android's (‘App is harmful’) Security Alert
There's apps out there that are good and legit that Google deems as being bad for your device but, there's others that are dangerous for your device.
It just comes down to the individual being careful with what they install as well as where the apps come from.
So be careful and safe with your device!
I wish you the best of luck!

I'm afraid that does not turn PP off. It only limits its snooping to Play Store apps. Who knows what else it is doing.
Basic point: you cannot uninstall, delete, remove, completely stop PP. It (Google) owns your phone.
it appears to have completely stopped scanning in my ZTE Blade V8 Pro.

That's not helpful, it has been stated more than once that that didn't stop this intrusive power grab, it merely limits it a tad. I too am put out that Google could be so brazen and the public at large hasn't even raised as much as an eyebrow. Let their favorite soccer team lose and there's rioting in the streets, attack personal privacy, no problem.

The only way to stop Google telling you that some apps are potentially dangerous for your device, AFTER you have disabled Play Protect, is to turn off the notifications from Play Store.
I don't know if you wanna do that, cause this will absolutely kill any notification from the Store. If that's ok with you then that's the only way to stop being harassed by Google.
P.S. -> I've done this and i'm happy with it, but i don't care about notifications at all. I'm NOT responsible if your device will be harmed in any way if you decide to go this way.
Cheers
I'm also having the same issue I have viper4android installed and I keep getting the notification every hour so I stopped bothering.
Google says; deal with it.

I had this too....it kept telling me Viper4Android is bad etc....
But, if you click on that notification, it pops up a window. You can then tell it to ignore this app, and use it anyway. it will no longer prompt you about the app again

is it possible to hide root in apps using parallel space?

i was giving some thoughts on the parallel space and how it creates a virtual environment to run apps. so could it also able to hide root from apps if they are installed in parallel space? could it be possible?
If you're using Magisk there is an option to select apps to hide root from.

It might be possible but your app choices are limited.
On the same line of thinking though the island app creates an android work profile. I've used it to hide bank apps from root with good success.

Some apps not present in battery optimisation?

As the title suggest, anyone else find that some apps just aren't available within the battery optimisation menu? For example, I have viper4android installed and when attempting to exclude it, it simply isn't listed there. Same with Google calendar too...
System apps don't show up there. You probably have installed viper4android as a system app.
That's OxygenOS standard.

Hmm I do wonder if there's some way around this. I mean for example, the Universal Doze for GMS is a magisk module that allows hibernating a system app. Surely its possible to do the opposite and allow a system app not to be hibernated?
Hopefully some clever dev can work some magic here...

I use bluemail, far superior to Gmail and works with Enterprise and exchange email servers and you have full control of it and you can add Gmail accounts as well. So I just freeze Gmail and never think about it again.

Also, can't you just move the app or if the system dinner and into the regular app folder and change the permissions then just omit from battery optimization? Not sure if Gmail works with those permissions but I'd try that.

This doesn't solve the issue., tried that. Disabling Doze does though :good:
And yes, still amazing low idle drain nonetheless.

Question Anyone managed to mock the location successfully ?

Hey Guys,
Did anyone manage to successfully mock the location without getting detected - With Magisk 24.1 and a recent root setup ?
I am still unable to systemize the fake GPS app. Termux doesn't show the list of my apps. Any idea how to convert it?
Edit: I figured out but the system converted app force closes.

Converting the app to a system app helps in this matter ?
I am trying it for pokemon go actually. If that fake GPS app is converted to system app it allows you to use without the need for choosing a mock location app in developer options. Also there is prevention of A-gps finding location and resetting your gps. So the game will not detect that you are mocking location.
