BRICKED!?

So this morning I installed SkyJellybean from seanzscreams. I've been using it all morning and into the afternoon. I've installed plenty of custom roms, i have CWM from skater and I've never had a problem... until now. I went on a walk with my girlfriend, phone in my pocket the entire time, when I got back I pulled my phone out and tried to unlock it. Nothing happened. I tried to reset it. Nothing. Pulled battery, tried to go into recovery, tried to go into download mode, absolutely NOTHING. My phone isn't responding whatsoever. Seems like a brick but before the walk the phone was working perfectly fine and now it's dead. I didn't do anything from the time I stopped using it to the time I got home. This makes no sense to me whatsoever. It doesn't even vibrate. What in God's name is going on here?
Tell me what you think.

No offense....but...dead battery?

maybe the battery is dead.
if that doesn't work try a jig USB_JIG

None taken. Thanks for the input. I'll check into that.
EDIT: It would be a fried battery, more like. Now to hit up all of my Android user friends for a compatible battery. If this works... I'll be mad.

If you connect up the charger do you get the charging display?

What next at&t model rooted installed cm and install pa noid android and gaps now nothing

Yeah absolutely nothing. I've kept it plugged in for quite some time now. Just in case. I'm thinking it's not the battery. I ended up calling AT&T and blamed KIES.

if u usb connect to the pc and pull battery to boot in dl mode and *the pc doesnt recognize it at all* use samsug kies to manually install the device drivers on the computer and odin will should find ur phone. the phone will be blank probably but the green light will turn on in odin. i have bricked this thing bad. sometimes it takes 3-4 days of being dead with no battery in it before it will boot into dl mode.

This time it is bricked bricked

Well, I finally did it. I was trying to Odin back to stock, it got stuck, I pulled the plug and now no screen even with a newly charged battery and the download dongle.
I tried with and with out the dongle, the 3 finger salute while installing the battery.. NADA. no life at all. Not the slightest peep.
Darn. Nice phone too. It was darn near brand new.
Oh well. If any one can brick something it is me.

Try the process anyways..even if your phone shows no life often Odin/heimdall will still recognize it...good luck

I am trying but no luck with Odin,.. I am getting a white screen and a response from the power button now but no Odin yet.

I'm sure you've tried this already, but just for good measure:
You might try a different USB cable/port/computer.

Hey guys, I let the phone sit for 8 hours. Just now tried it an got it back!!! YEAH!
Thanks for telling to keep trying, I would have given up on it.
These phones truly are unbrickable.

think my s3 just died help

I just swapped my battery and turned on my phone and it was perfectly fine and now I can't turn on my phone FML

Are these batteries you've used before? Have you tried going back to the first battery already? Is there any sign of life? Any led when charging? Can you boot into Odin mode? Recovery mode?
Did you do anything differenlty after your last successful boot?

Zero lemon battery's I've tired to download mode recover mode and plug it in doesn't seem to be power I on and then and looked and see if it was the power button issue and dose not seem like it is idk what to do other then not liking Samsung phones anymore much problems it has

Are both batteries new from ZL? If so, do you have an old one that still holds a charge? Has it acted funny for a while? Is this the first time you've had this problem?

Its not my battery's there fine and I'm thinking its power button issue but I've to smack the power button still no go :/

And if I'm hard bricked or if they give me a knew one I do have insurance but hope they can't tell I'm rooted if it's hard bricked and about sick of samsung phones

guys i am in serious problem!
i'm unable to unlock my nexus and screen is blank black with a back light.
i am restarting the phone to access after every time the phone gets locked!
i'm fully on stock and nothing happened not even a faint fall or rough use. I wasn't using the phone from evening and this popped up..
initially i thought it was bricked but after restarting i'm able to access until the phone is locked..
please help ASAP

i did a factory reset and still the problem persist.. isn't it considered as a defect ??

It's clearly a software issue. Reflash might help.

i visited the service center today.. it was issue with hardware.. they replaced a flex board around the battery and the phone was normal again.. took 20mins max and no charges was levied as the phone was under warrenty..

Very strange, a hardware issue which temporarily disappears when you reboot. Oh well, luckily it's fixed now.

Sounds like the flex ribbon cable to the display had poor contact. Where do you live to get such quick service? Cheers!

yes exactly.. i live in bangalore..
I had prepared for two days waiting
but he had few repairable handsets and components in hand ready and pulled out one and repaired to mine instantly..

Is this n5 broken?[solved]

Hi, my brother came home said taught his n5 doesn't work anymore. He told me that he put out his phone to look the watch and noticed that something went wrong. Look at the picture.
I tried to boot into recovery or fastboot. But till now can't boot into. But will try son again. A friend of him said it could be the Mainboard.
Is there any chance to fix this problem?

How is the flex cable?

Just looking, but seems okay till now.
Ps it looks good, I just noticed that my win computer noticed the n5 as qhsusb_bulk device.
Also if I disconnected the battery than the display shows it normally. Maybe it is so because I reconnected the flex cable and the battery connector

i will sent it back to amazon, i hope they can fix it, it's still unser warrenty time.
But this is funny, this device lives sometimes on again and works for an half hour. then it get the creepy display
