[Q] wich CWM to flash custom Kernel

I'd like to flash a custom kernel on my rooted TF101 with latest ICS stock rom, but i've not installed a custom recovery.
I tougth to use Recovery Installer app to easily flash CWM (3.2.0.1).
The question is: can I flash a custom kernel (like this) with CWM 3.2.0.1 or do I need a more recent version of CWM (like 5.5.04)?
Another question... after flashing custom kernel, do I keep rooot permission?
thank you for your attention
3.2.0.1 cwm should work just fine

Request for Stock Rooted ROM

hello developers ,
is it possible to release a stock rom which is rooted and can be flashed just like any custom rom using twrp or clockwork mod..
so if anyone want to isntall stock rom , then we dont have to go back and flash stock oppo recovery ---> then install stock rom ---> and then root it again..
instead just by flashing the stockrom with root .zip file , using twrp or clockworkmod we can get bacl stock os , just like flashing cyanogen mod rom or mokee rom or aicp rom that we already have.. for my samsung/lg devices there are stock roms which are rooted (with extra features like debloat and deodexed )deodex is difficult so not needed..but atleast we can have a stock rooted rom..
The easy way would be to make factory reset, root the device, install custom recovery, backup the device. Then copy the backup to PC or the external sdcard.

[Plz Help] custom kernel still necessary for Twrp ?

Hello everyone..
Recently i got g920i having 6.0.1os with sept. security patch ( indian variant )..
Nd decided to enter into world of customization.
I need help to complete step 1 ( root plus recovery).
For root -
I think cf autoroot will works good.
For recovery-
Now here im confused... some guide videos says just flash the recovery bootimage (twrp) whereas some xda posts says first you have to flash custom kernel for successfully booting up the device with custom recovery.
So what should i do ?
If custom kernel is required.. can anybody plz provide link to a decent kernel.
Any help is appreciated..
Sorry for english.
Thanks in advance.
Flash Arter Kernel, Arter TWRP then Supersu zip in that order

Build 11.0xnph44s

Evening everybody. I had to do a recovery to unbrick my phone and I am now on the above build. Now I cannot install a custom build Nouget ROM as it will not allow me. I have twrp installed and unlocked but will not let me install anything else. Can anyone help and advise what I can do to fix this please. Cheers Freddy
Chose one of the signed flashable zips from here : https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/mirrors-for-official-cyanogen-roms-ota-updates.141825/
These are stock ROMs
And just flash from twrp. Once you are done you are in a "stable condition" and you'll be able to flash whatever you want.

Use OrangeFox recovery and flash that via fastboot. From there, you can flash the ROM on that version of MIUI. Kindly read the instructions on the ROM page.

Yup. However, if you are on the latest TWRP (3.5) then you can just follow the ROM instructions right away without using ofox.
