Hello there. I've got an used Z5. How much are the normal numbers of the pressure sensor tests to assure it is working fine?
Mine is showing around 1012-1013
Thanks in advance

I use this app, which is all you need.

My Z5 back glass got cracked, so it lost waterproofing. It only shows 1000.34 no matter how strong I push. Give it a try.

I have new Xperia Z5 Duel , but when i press the device , the pressure rise for several seconds and get back to normal then.
Is that normal? or my device have a leak?
That should be normal. It should get back to default as soon as you release pressure.

Since the day 1, my XL has low touch sensitivity.... I ve a screen guard on, but that should b no problem.....
Previously, i owned a Xperia Tipo.
The touch sensitivity in tipo was definitely better.
In XL, it is so bad that its been hampering the user experience...i m on 4.1.2 right now....
I ve to literally press the screen....i responds to the screen just under the fingernail., but not to the skin on fingertip... This has affected multitouch too.... The multi-touch is four finger.. Fine....but the sensitivity...
Its making me feel bad
What should i do.... Anyone else facing the same issue ???? Please help me.

known issue with XL. if you don't wanna live with it return the phone or try an app called SGS Touchscreen Booster sometimes it helps.
if the phone is under warranty try that as well.

Does CM11 have some sort of magic power ?
As far as problems with touch it appears to be HW issue with some phones. How do you propose CM11 will fix that ? I and I guess many here are really dying to hear your response.

No I am not, I'm using 2105. Know people that do/did and just like you they had to send in their phone to get it exchanged which really does mean that it is a HW issue.
I just get pissed when some people on this forum spread false information like the case of Andro.Catalyst suggesting that CM11 will fix something that obviously not even Sony can fix without exchanging the phone or having their tech do something HW related with it.
Behavior like that shown by Andro.Catalyst should result in at least 3 weeks ban, hell even more would be right. Too much "wishing" and outright lying in this forum, most likely because many of users are under 12 years old or so it seems.

I hope what u say is right... But still, if I want a bugless stock rom, then there is no go
If Sony is gonna fix it with a software update, it's fine... But it does not explain why half of XL's are working just fine with the older firmwares
Anyways I dropped the phone off at Sony Care..... Today is Saturday... Estimated delivery date is Tuesday...
If the new phone has same problem, then I ll send that back too..... If they deny, then I ll have to go to consumer court.... Cuz we as customers deserve well functional phones
I ll keep this thread updated

I also used to have that problem on 4.1.2 but since updating to 4.2.2 my touch screen has been a lot better, not perfect, but better. It probably is a software issue which a recently certified update may fix.

Hey guys!
My bother's brand new xperia J screen stoped responding after he droped it into water.
Actually it died completelly, but after several days in a bag of rice, it was able to suck in the humidity in it, and now everything works except for the touchscreen. Once I saw it booting with clear image on the screen, I thought everything would be fine.
Do you have any other sugestions? Maybe the humidty wasn't completelly sucked and its preventing the touchscreen to work.
Thanks guys
I don't know, maybe you should replace the touchscreen, and pray for everything else to be okay

Yeah, the rice is said to soak up the water - one of my friends said he saved his S4 that way.
Hi everyone,
I'm having a problem with the back cover of my Nexus 5. When i touch around the flash LED i can hear a suspicious creaking sound. I had never heard a problem like this un this forum. Should i order a replacement?
Thanks
Did you drop your device? Could be a manufacturing fault as well... If you can bear the slight creaking, just ignore it.. Else RMA it...
However, I don't see the point in RMA'ing a device for such a petty reason. What if you could get a device with other defects?
No, I didnt drop it !

Ignore all those rumors. Only way to tell if you have a different newer revision is by checking in the Fast Boot Mode of your device. And as far as I know no production device has anything beyond rev 11. The difference in certain dimensions that you might have noticed is due to the different production assembly lines of various Nexus 5 devices.

Surely the thread is finished. It creaks. So what? Everything creaks. either put up with it or return it. What else is there to say?
To be honest, not even sure why this needed to be a thread at all. We have a "defects" thread AND an RMA thread. You could have posted in either of those

Its impossible to notice the Nexus 5 creaking unless you put it in some sort of a chokehold. It's a phone, who squeezes a phone?
Some of these people are just looking for things to pick at instead of enjoying the phone.

Almost all the phone I tried that has fingerprint scanner can do this. You can actually register multiple finger into one fingerprint just do like couple times with one finger than switch to another while you register for just one fingerprint. I tried on iphone, sony samsung s7 edge. All seems to work with this, not sure why you would do that..but you can do it. Also this won't effect accuracy of the identification of your fingerprint
I have used that "feature" to place same finger in different angels resulting in no misreadings anymore
I would assume this would cause some problems.
I wish I could add all 10 of my finger/thumbs but I wouldn't trust the method you mention just to be safe lol
Just register multiple fingers, far easier and more accurate.

I would suggest to register fingers from both hands (read 'plaster cast').
Fun fact for those who are extremely paranoid: you can register your toes as fingerprints.
I have both thumb and both index fingers registered.
I'm just impressed how well the print scanner works, I registered both thumbs with slightly varying angles from straight up yet have unlocked with my thumb 90 degrees from straight.
I keep meaning to try it 180d rotated, and forgetting.

I wasn't talking about a comparison. I said your post looks like an ad.
It's nothing to do with having both phones, your fingerprint sensor is defective, doesnt make it worse. Mine (and many others) works flawlessly so it's obviously not an issue for everyone.
Also, I've always used the home button to wake my device so it's nice to skip the pin and just keep my finger on the home button to unlock. No hassle at all.

It could be a variety of things, not just the sensor. Since you think I'm trolling then I highly suggest you look the other OP discussing the same issue. You're using a logical fallacy in an attempt to prove your side. If I knew what it was I would gladly tell you, but I don't yet. I tried to factory reset once and reset it up to no avail. It could just be a software bug on certain phones. I received an OTA today so I'll set it up again and see if it's any better.
