Need help for honor 5c pro launched in saudi, (honor holly4 in india)
I had found some useful content on your post [ Download ] Huawei Delhi L42 DLI L42 C672B121 hw in India 7.0 5.1 Factory Stock Firmware Update.rar
want to install indian version Os in this honor 5c pro (rebranding).
My current version is dLI-L42
build number Delhi-L42C185B121
but latest version available on givemerom.com/dli-l42 is Delhi-L42_C675B121_Firmware_India
https://givemerom.com/dli-l42-honor-holly-4
Does above rom compatible with my phone, Need instructions for installation.
Also, when I downloaded the stock rom for Honor 6A DLI-L22, I founded out that there are two .app files. Also, when I tried to use Huawei Extractor I found out that I cannot extract these .app files. Also, I tried to flash (using dload method and sd card) one of these files (the file was 1.5GB size), it did not work.
So I cannot extract and flash these files. Any clue?
Thank You
Did anyone test this unoffical twrp and magisk or supersu for DLI-L22 ?
Hello, I have DLI-L42, Ive unlocked the bootloader and flashed twrp successfully but after flashing any supersu or magisk zip the phone boots without root, what can I do ?
Downloaded the twrp recovery and flashed it, it says it was successful, however when i boot into recovery, it is still the default emui recovery and not twrp. Anyone nows how to fix it?

I have factory reset my DLI-L22 with TWRP without making a backup (my bad I know)
That has caused my phone to be unusable, only the back/home/recent apps button show up when booting up, the rest of the screen is black, so I assume android is gone from my phone pretty much.
How would I go about flashing one of the firmwares from this thread onto my phone to make it usable again, knowing that I can't access android features themselves but have TWRP access.
I beg for someone to help me, as my phone is unusable.

Hi,
AFAIK, you are forced to open the smartphone ("torx" #2 tool needed) and flash directly to the phone using specific software indicated in the first post.
Hi guys...I finally managed to root Huawei Honor 6A Pro (DLI-L42) model by using Magisk Manager via boot.img patch. Really damn works!
Here's how I'm do it:
1. Unlock the bootloader.
2. Flash TWRP and access it.
3. Try to wipe the data to remove the encryption and reboot to TWRP when prompted. If fails, try with other TWRP recovery.
4. Perform a full nandroid backup to grab all of its rom image files from the device and transfer it into your PC.
5. Rename boot.emmc.win to boot.img
6. Unpack boot.img using bootimg.exe
7. Edit default.prop file and adjust the properties of the line like this:
ro.secure=0
security.perf_harden=0
ro.adb.secure=0
ro.debuggable=1
8. Repack it back after editing default.prop.
9. Instal Magisk Manager and transfer the boot-new.img into the device.
10. Install Magisk root by applying boot patch on the boot-new.img.
11. Compress the patched_boot.img as zip or 7z etc. to allow boot image file to be transfer out from the device.
12. Enter the bootloader and flashed the patched_boot.img and reboot.
13. Voila!

Did you unlock the bootloader first? If not, try to unlock the bootloader with getting its unlock code first by visiting EMUI site and register it. Then, you will need to key-in the phone serial number and IMEI and etc given in order to accessing the unlock code. Then use the unlock code to unlock the bootloader.

This version of TWRP did work! I flashed it and shut down my phone afterwards to then boot into TWRP directly press power + volume up and down, since adb does not work while in bootloader/flashboot mode.
Afterwards i installed Magisk 16.0 using TWRP.
can someone give me pls the stock rom for Delhi-L22C432B126? i effed something up and now magisk has safetynet and basicintegrity false.. tried everything to fix this now i wanna start over but idk what to do with those .APP files.
i read somewhere that the boot.img is enough to reflash (if anyone can confirm that and maybe give me a download link?)
thx in advance :/

Changelog:
Code:
This update will roll back your phone's operating system to Android 7.0 (EMUI 5.1).
Rollback notes:
1. Please make sure you are currently using the official version of Huawei EMUI, and that no unofficial updates have been installed. Otherwise, there will be risk of an unsuccessful rollback, and an unknown error may occur.
2. Make sure that the current version has not been unlocked or rooted.
3. All user data will be deleted in the rollback. Use an SD card, computer, or Cloud storage to back up all important data before rolling back your phone, and make sure all backed up content is complete and effective.
4. Make sure your phone has more than 50% battery remaining.
5. If you experience any issues during the update, please call the Huawei customer service hotline or visit an authorised Huawei service centre for assistance.
6. The system will restart after the rollback. This will take about 10 minutes. Following the update, your home screen will automatically display the EMUI 5.1 theme.

And how to do it? First put update.app from first ZIP file do dload directory and flash it and then do the same with second app? As in this thread: https://androidforum.cz/advanced-search/?keywords=dload&t=76974&sf=msgonly (czech language)

I have a retail german version of the Honor9
After installing 150 you can also update to 180 via official system -> Update -> Download full package
wow I hope this means Oreo is comming officialy, mine was just updated to B180 since the one that came on the box, I think will be weird get two updates that fast, but I hope it comes soon
It's not ok for me. Not rooted, locked bootloader but when it restarts in recovery it give to me software failed error
I'm really hating Oreo (beta) in Honor 9 because performances are poor and battery too.
Did you do it like explained? Either in Huawei HiSuite or the Phone Manager (App) - No hacks or inofficial ways..

Hello dying_sun, i have the same problem.
Honor 9, STF L09 (Europe), now with OREO B360
- unlocked bootloader
- TWRP 3.1.1
- rooted with SuperSU
--> after some days I unrooted my device and locked my bootloader
(I use multitool for TWRP and stock recovery)
After unrooting OREO ota came and a realised that the capacitive buttons are not working. Tried different settings, only the home button works
What to do?
--> Rollback to B120.
I downloaded firmwares from different sites and tried different methods
3-button update: Installing failed
dload method sd card: Installing failed (NTFS format, 32 GB)
dload method internal memory: Installing failed
*#*#284...#*#* method, upgrade from sdcard: Installing failed
I tried to flash a kernel.....img (here in forum "Capacity fix" topic) but when I install it over TWRP the device asks me in which flash memory should it be flashed and I do not know what to choose. (system, ODM, splash2, recovery_ramdisk, cache)
I also tried the HWOTA method, but I get the message, that "recovery2" could not be written into ramdisk or something like that and then it stops.
Possible that I did not consider a little detail
Could you please tell me which firmware from firmware finder did you use and which method you choose to make rollback?
Slowly I get desperated with the phone.....
Thanks a lot in advance

First : Are you on nougat or oreo now, and what's your region ?
your phone is booting ok in system, but no capacitives buttons ? So you'll like to fix them before updating ?
When on nougat, for flashing the dload way a service repair nougat firmware, I think you must have formatted your SDcard to exFAT and not ntfs.
I think when using service repair dload files, you must use the same region files the phone is actually.
For info :
3-button update,
dload method,
& *#*#284...#*#* method,
Are all the same.
You also tried the HWOTA method, but which hwota files did you used ?

Hello oslo83,
The phones Emui is now Emui 8.0.0, B360.
I have an unlocked bootloader, booting is ok (message about unlocked bootloader comes first)
Capacitive buttons and flash light are not working --> I would like to fix them (this is the reason why I try to rollback to B120.
I tried to format to FAT 32, but not possible to copy update.app, because of size. With NTFS it worked. --> I try format to exFat
I downloaded a full-service-repair-package for europe from the site 4pda.ru.
Should I use Firmware finder?
What do you mean with "which HWOTA fileS? --> update.zip / update_full_data.zit and a third one..... comlete package, as described.

Maybe to late to use dload as i don't think flashing dload nougat over oreo will work.
And the only public dload service repair firmware available seems to be only nougat.
And downgrading is maybe not usefull as it seems there is a simple fix for you now by flashing kernel...

Where you using the new one for oreo or the old one for nougat ?
So for you the better will be to flash kernel fix : https://forum.xda-developers.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=75772700
Help yourself, follow the instructions and don't try to install it over TWRP as you did before.

So for you the better will be to flash kernel fix : https://forum.xda-developers.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=75772700
Help yourself, follow the instructions and don't try to install it over TWRP as you did before.

I got the HWOTA_base.zip from here "https://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=793006&st=920#entry60779691"
Where you using the new one for oreo or the old one for nougat ?
I think that I used one for Nougat...... :-/
There is nowhere a note where to flash this kernel to? --> boot?, recovery_ramdisk? Splash? system? cache?
Do you perhaps know which flash directory should I use?
Here I present my tool to flash Honor stock firmware in TWRP recovery. I have tested it on all currently available firmwares for Honor 9 STF but still this tool is beta.
HuRUpdater
Huawei Recovery Updater
Flash official firmware zip files
Can detect if firmware locks bootloader
Can detect if firmware wipes data
Download:
HuRUpdater_0.4.zip
Tested up to STF-L09C432B369
HuRUpdater_0.3.zip
HuRUpdater_0.2.zip
Tested up to STF-L09C432B362
It's recommended to use a proper custom recovery (with running oeminfo_nvm_server service) like for example my version of TWRP.
How to use:
Warning: Make sure you know what you are doing and do not flash firmware from other devices.
Download firmware files (for official firmware use Huawei Firmware Finder).
Put files you want to flash in a seperate folder on sdcard.
Supported zip files to flash are (name must match):
update.zip (use FullOTA file)
update_all_hw.zip
update_data_public.zip
Optional: Put recovery.img in same folder if you want to keep custom recovery.
Put HuRUpdater zip in same folder. Example:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Select only HuRUpdater to flash in custom recovery.
Follow instructions on screen. Flashing can take multiple minutes.
Problems:
If firmware includes factory reset
Factory reset is not supported by custom recovery. Therefore HuRUpdater will flash stock recovery before launching factory reset. After flashing firmware and doing factory reset, you need to flash recovery manually.

Custom recovery. When you flash stock firmware, the recovery is overwritten. By placing a recovery.img of TWRP in the folder, it will be automatically flashed after stock firmware. Therefore you will keep custom recovery.
Sorry for my bad english.
I'm on Oreo B360 with root and custom twrp (0.2).
Can i use this tool to downgrade to Nougat?
I would like to go back to B183 version...

Yes it should work. Downgrading to 183 will format data so make a backup.
Wonderful! It also solves the problems with bricked Honor 9
This tool is amazing. It should be a sticky post. You've no idea how many people will be saved by this tool. Dude, you rock amazingly. Be proud of yourself! It saved me countless hours of flashing, after many hours trying to recover a bricked honor 9... You should post this tool on Reddit with relevant information. It's an amazing tool.
can i use it for flash the stock fw on top the RRoS(android 7.1)?
Amazing tool that will delight more than one

If you can load to or flash and load to twrp your device is NOT bricked! )) It is very easy to flash zip's of official ROM in this case with or without this tool. This tool is very good by 2 reasons: 1) Can detect if ROM wipes data. 2) Can detect if ROM locks bootloader. It is very convinient! Good job.
PS Your device is bricked if you have error 2 and error 11 when trying to boot. It is not also a problem if you can still reach erecovery.
@zxz0O0 I'm on B360 and want to update to B362 but FF says it's not authorized (all versions say that), so I'd like to know what version you used and what is the danger (if any) of flashing an unauthorized firmware version.

Risk of flashing an unauthorized firmware:
None, that's just the relase method Huawei choose https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phased_adoption
Risk of flashing a firmware:
Same as with official way, you could brick / destroy your device if you for example power off during fw flashing.

No it's not based on nocheck recovery. I have never tried small OTA files but it could work maybe.
@zxz0O0 Flashed latest B362 (dated March 28th) with no issues, thank you.
By the way, that March 23rd release of B362 has apparently been removed from server (that's what FF was saying on mine)
Great, works fine on Mate 9 (Although got E: Unknown command []] 2 times).
Updated from C432B366 to C432B367-SP1, mainly to test because B367-SP1 is some test firmware.

Thanks for feedback. This error is actually caused on how TWRP interprets the output of the flashable zip. It can be ignored.

yeah, me too , i cant get, i write in live chat but they send a link dont work.
FYI: If you're getting an update error, please note that the NE-L21_EMUI8.rar package contains a .zip file named update_data_pubblic.zip. There is a typo in there; rename it to update_data_public.zip (just one 'p').
Besides that, the update works great.
Does anyone of you knows how to downgrade from oreo to nougat?

I don't think you can. Oreo makes a lot of changes, like changing partitions, etc. Why do you want to downgrade? Install GSI or LineageOS 15.1. You have tons of options.

The pre-Oreo TWRP image will not work on Oreo. Did you follow the instructions as described (which will also overwrite your current TWRP recovery)?
1. Extract the NE-L21_EMUI8.rar package
2. Rename update_data_pubblic.zip to update_data_public.zip ('pp' to 'p', that was a typo by the uploader)
3 Extract the HWOTA_RNE-ENG.zip package
4. Move update.zip, update_all_hw.zip and update_data_public.zip from the previous package to HWOTA/update
5. Run the script in HWOTA/ while having the phone in bootloader mode (fastboot)

I already did this.. I'm already running an oreo firmware.. That's why i can't use HWOTA again because Partition recovery on oreo is different . That's why it can't install the TWRP recovery . Partition length get error. Are there any option? Can i flash a full OTA of Nougat in my device that's already running an Oreo?

I think you don't even need to use TWRP, just download it via FF and install. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
Hi KingOfMezi,
Do you have any idea how to flash erecovery in oreo?. I tried extracting ERECOVERY_RAMDI.img from UPDATE.APP and Install it using your TWRP, then select eRecovery. It still doesn't solve my problem.
Or Can anyone backup eRecovery using KingOfMezi TWRP and send it to me. So i'll just restore it and hopefully fix my problem. Help will be so much appreciated.

$ fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk RECOVERY.img
Please note that the recovery image must be adjusted for Oreo, since install/wipe will not work with pre-Oreo recoveries.

Hi guys!
Mine is an original AL10 (bought from China). I want to rebrand it to L09/L19, I tried flashing FRD-L09C432B562 firmware but it doesn't work (I tried HuRUpdater, dload, Redlotus method), it's probably because I didn't flash the custom vendor img first. Previously I used Huawei Mutli-tool v7 (a year ago or so) to rebrand my phone but the latest v8 doesn't have an option for rebranding.
So, what should I do?

Hello!
If you have AL10, I advise you to rebrand it to L19.
Here is FRD-L19C432 "oeminfo" / "custom.bin" zip to flash via TWRP => https://mega.nz/#!XAET1YAD!JijwucQVNinMa-kBhUIEUUTFbRL-HcwqZsYxTntkMFM
Then use HuRUpdater method to flash latest Oreo firmware.
-OR-
You can also flash this FRD-L19C432B131 (Marshmallow) zip via TWRP, oeminfo and custom vendor img file are included => https://mega.nz/#!WF1FSbyJ!JiQ1oP8k8j3PMzVtvwEIb7gkRSigS8yzJ25Ud3b095g
Then use HuRUpdater method to flash latest Oreo firmware.
EDIT: If not working, you may need to flash B360 (Nougat): B131 (Marshmallow) -> B360 (Nougat) -> B5xx (Oreo)
Info: Rebranded Honor 8 Chinese model can't use B380+ Nougat firmwares. For Oreo firmwares, I don't know...

I successfully rebranded to L09C432B562, but I still can't get the Openkirin ROMs to work. If I flash the treble ROMs, my SIM slot 1 doesn't work.
