I bought opo few days ago for regular use. Updated it to MM, now I am facing only one problem. Whenever I save a new contact it shows in contacts list but messaging app does not show name, instead it shows number. Old contacts which were synchronized from my google account show without any issue. But new contacts are making this problem. I am using CyanogenMod 13 MM. I have tried another contacts app and messaging app but still problem presists.

My facebook contacts no longer sync with my contact list. Gone are all of my pictures on my contact list. in settings i went to the Accounts and Sync and tried to add account but when i hit the facebook icon it just backs to the previous screen. how can i fix this?

should be noted that for it to work correctly you have to have the same name in your contacts list as it shows on their facebook.
and also i believe there is a privacy setting on facebook that allows users to block the facebook app from pulling information
had facebook app installed but ended up removing it and reinstalling it and now it works like it used to. contacts all have pics with them now

This happened to me on several roms (Right now I'm on CM7.2) ;
When I start to manually enter a number on my phone dialer - i see contacts that are not in my contacts list. How do I delete them ? Where are they coming from ?
I lent the phone to a client of mine 2 months ago for a week, but since then I completely deleted the rom I gave him and I have different sim and memory card, So where are the contacts coming from ?

go to settings -> synchronization
and check what accounts you have synced there (gmail, whatsapp, facebook etc.)
next you can display or undisplay them in the contacts app "display" setting.
It probably comes from the gmail account.
make sure you see the unnecessary contacts on contacts app and delete them there.

Hello, I'm having a strange problem with contacts just deleting and disappearing
By themselves. Just recently I've been texted and texting new people. But EVERYTIME I add them (3 did people) they then automatically delete, except for the text messages exchanged. I can add them from the messaging window and then when I go back into my contacts list those names are no longer there and in the messaging app (not even a 3rd party app am I using atm, literally the stock one..) It only shows the phone number all over again as if its a just a random person/ unknown person that hasn't been added to the contacts. Please help, this is very frustrating .

Have you tried going into Settings > Accounts (& Sync), and seeing if your Google account has Synced Contacts?

Yes, and the answer is that it SAYS it has synced, but its not happening because it's being deleted.
Ever since the Google+ app update yesterday with the new UI and interface my dialer app and people app on Nexus 5 don't show my Google+ contacts photos anymore. It's only showing the photos I have added to specific contacts in my Gmail contacts on the PC, otherwise the contacts show up as the generic silhouette. Anyone else have this issue? Did they change the setting in Google+? I am not seeing what they changed it to.

The Samsung contacts app started randomly linking contacts which now have synced back to my other contacts provider i.e. Google contacts.
I only noticed when I got a call and my phone showed me a contact name different to the person actually calling. I then edited that contact, went to manage linked contacts and noticed that the Samsung contacts app had merged 3 contacts from 3 different countries with completely different names.
Every day I discover another one of these mis-merged contacts.
What I am looking for is a "unlink all contacts" menu.
Any ides how to solve this mess (I have about 1500 contacts and no idea how many have been messed with by this app)?
anyone please? any ideas or feedback? where to get support?
