Hi please can any one help the green phone sign to answer a call is missing, I can only reject them voice answer is no help, I have factory reset the watch and deleted the app still no luck.
I'm running 2.3.2.3 on my by r760.
which phone are you using? official software or custom? is the gear app, gear plugin, samsung accessory app etc all updated to the latest versions? I read that the call facility only works on official software.
I am using a Xiaomi Note 3 & Note 4 running RR v5.8.5 & i am unable to answer calls from the watch, can only cancel the call, same as you.
One user on XDA said he had the same problem on his oneplus 3t running custom rom till he reverted back to OOS. After that he was able to make & receive calls on his gear s3.
Suggest you look into that.
My phone is a HTC one M7 running lingae custom ROM.
All gear app and plugging are update.
I have not read about the ROMs, so maybe that.
But I did read about the gear an older version needed incoming calls in the notifications to be turned on,
but I can't see that @raghu102 what software are you running on your S3 watch ?
Please see 3rd or 4th question

As per your pic, that is for showing calls on the watch, incoming & missed etc. The latest version of the app & tizen does this automatically.
As I understand, you can see the caller id on your watch & can cut the call but cannot pick the call. See the picture below. I get the same thing except for the green icon to pick the call.
I am running latest version of all the apps & my watch is the bluetooth version running on Tizen 2.3.2.3 with software version R760XXU2BQC5. I am located in India & awaiting the new Tizen 3.0 update.
If you can, I suggest using stock rom for your phone & then reset the watch & do not restore the backup. As I've read, that should work.
Hi, same problem here , any solution?
Interesting...I've never used it for anything more than "caller ID" because most of the time I have a BT headset attached to my ear
but yeah, I can't "decline" a call either. (Huawei Mate9, all stock)
I am on stock OOS now on my OnePlus 6 & I can receive & make calls using the watch without issue.
Stock rom is required & also make sure phones calls is enabled in bluetooth settings on the phone (click the gear icon next to the Gear S3)
I had a different problem using my xiaomi redmi 4x santoni (resurrection remix v6.0) & my samsung s3 frontier (tizen 4.0). Whenever someone called me I could answer the call from my watch and then it would open the calling interface of the watch as expected but only for a second then disappear. Also the watch was acting as a call controller and by that I mean I could answer calls only on the phone and even if i selected bluetooth instead of speaker mode it changed automatically to phone
Solution: I flashed android pie AEX custom rom using red wolf treble recovery and then it worked like a charm
!!!ALSO VERY IMPORTANT!!! If you are using apps such as true caller and you let them be default phone apps then there is a possibility that they are causing the problem so keep the phone app that came with the rom/os as default (I tried to revert this but only a fresh installation of this rom seemed to help)
P.S: Sorry if this is in the wrong thread I don't know how xda works but I thought I should share this because someone may be facing the same problem. Cheers
Hi.. any solution???
On my watch is missing the "green phone" (answer). What can I do? (Le Max 2, official Indian ROM)
For me I have found that on my Samsung galaxy siii9300 running stock 4.3 I couldn't answer call.
So I rooted my phone I installed lineage os 14.1.
I lost Samsung pay,
I can now answer calls and text on my watch.
I now have the latest galaxy manager ,plugins and shealth
You need to go to bluetooth settings on your phone, click on your gear s3 device and in the device properties tap "connect" button.
Hi, same problem here , i'm using Samsung S10 Plus and Samsung gear S3, any solution?
Check permissions on the bluetooth section of your phone. I had an S3 Frontier paired to a Huawei Mate 20 Pro once and every time I lost connection to the phone for whatever reason, when it reconnected back it had a "phone" permission unticked on the Bluetooth device settings section. Had to re-enable it every time ?

The weather data on my Gear S2 never updates until I actually go into the weather app - not even when I scroll over to the weather widget. I've done some reading on various forums and discovered this is a common problem people have had with Samsung smartwatches over the last few years, and it's usually been solved by making sure the Samsung "weather daemon" app is up to date and keeping a weather widget on the paired phone's homescreen. That, unfortunately, doesn't help since I'm running the S2 with my Sony Xperia Z3. I tried to install the weather daemon and widget from the Galaxy S5 on my phone, and not only did it not work, it stuffed up my phone and I had to factory reset and reinstall my rom. So here's the question: is Samsung likely to make weather updates work properly when running on other phones? And, seeing as the answer to that is probably "no, or at least not for a while", what are the chances we might be able to figure out another way of getting this to work?

An adjustment I had to make. I have been using a 3d party program for weather on my phone because I like the look of the widget on my phone. Well, if I have date, time, temp, and weather on my watch I don't need it on my phone anymore! So I got rid of the 3d party app, downloaded the not as attractive on the phone but just as functional AccuWeather app, and my updates appear to be working on time. Just needed to adjust from checking my phone for a forecast to checking my watch.
Sounds like you have a Samsung phone then, where the Samsung-specific AccuWeather app is hooked into the OS and by extension the watch connection. Those of us with non-Samsung phones don't have the same solution. What we need is a way of replicating the functionality of Samsung's "weatherdaemon" apk on a non-TouchWiz rom.
Gear S2 Weather Sync
I am also facing the same issue with my Sony Z3. I hope somebody can help me to solve this annoying problem. I have noticed that if I factory reset my gear S2 and install all the apps again on my phone my watch will work perfectly and weather information will sync without any problem in my watch until the moment that I turn my phone off. When I turn it on again the weather stops sync and only updates on the phone manually.
Solved with latest update!

You could know this (see signature)...
I've the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, STOCK-ROM...
No way to know if it'll be fixed on other phones yet then. I'm guessing not.
not fixed for me, no wayt o make it auto sync, got a samsung phone
(Sigh) I just deleted all my non-Samsung Note 4 weather programs and used the one that came with the phone. And, lo and behold, the weather now updates hourly. That must be the trick, use the stock Accuweather app.
Other than the Wear Os app the Galaxy wearables app does not see work profile apps and will not push their notifications. Let's see if that gets fixed at some point.
if you have a samsung phone and use the secure folder as work profile, you can choose if you want the apps to be notified or not

Seeing the same thing. None of my work app notifications from employer show on the watch
I think this is another "only works on Samsung" thing.
I had this problem on my oneplus phone. Switched to a Samsung and it was working fine. (that was the experience I had on previous generation wear os and Tizen watches at least)
Yeah, it'd be nice if there was some sort of workaround for this. Even just as simple as bridging notifications without allowing actions on the Watch would be more useful than the current lack of anything.
It's also sort of odd, looking at the notification settings in the Wearable app shows that it does see that there was a notification coming from that app (gmail, calendar, etc.) even if it was a work profile notification, but won't allow the work profile apps to be synced on anything other than a samsung phone.

Yes I observers the same, I tried to bridge the notification by some apps but not working, You got any luck with Bridging? Also DUO Mobile app was working awesome with Andriod OS 2, But it isn't working here... Looks like Tizen thing is preventing it.
I've got a Galaxy Watch 4 Classic connected to a Not 20 Ultra. When I check in the Galaxy Wearables app, and go into Settings > Notifications and then hit "More" under "Most recent on phone or watch" I get a list of all personal and work profile apps sending notifications.
All Work profile apps and Duo Mobile had been se to "Off" by default. I've turned them on. We'll see how it goes...
{ETA: Success! Duo (via personal) and Slack (via Work) are sending notifications to the watch! I can't act on Duo except via the Phone, though, so not sure how useful that part actually is.}

Yeah, it seems like work profile works when paired to a samsung device, but not anything else, which is unfortunate.
Hey guys, I was facing the same issue of work-profile notifications not being visible on my galaxy watch 4, so I created an app to solve it. Please give it a try: WorkNotifier.
It's completely local, secure, and open-source. The link to code can be found on the play-store listing itself.
If you face any issues with it, please let me know. I would love to help you out.

It is already known that you can successfully get calls when watch is connected via Wi-Fi if you own a Samsung phone, but has anyone managed to find out a way to get calls on a non Samsung phone from remote connection (wifi)? I don't even get notification for missed calls. But it would be really usefull for me to manage and make it work.
Thanks.

Appreciate the help!
I have the Watch4 Classic connected to a Samsung S22 Ultra. If I turn Bluetooth off, I cannot make a call via just a WiFi connection. The watch tells me to connect to my phone via Bluetooth and try again.
As far as I know it is not possible to make calls through wifi connection watch-phone. Bluetooth only.

Samsung a52s can make phone calls and receive calls via Wi-Fi. This is a friend of my who recently bought the watch.
It's disabled on LTE version. I have Gw4 lte version and can't make call using a wifi. But I'm getting text and other notifications when connected with a wifi.
GW4 Bluetooth can make call using a wifi.
Unless I did something wrong, I could not make a call via WiFi on my Bluetooth GW4.
I got NO this settings on my GW4 non LTE
Looked into my watch settings and found use remote connections. I did not set it up or try it, but it says it will work between my phone and watch. Do not know how valuable it would be to me since the phone and watch still have to be on the same network, using Bluetooth seems fine. I guess if I was outside with my watch and left my phone in the house I could still send and receive calls on the phone via WiFi if I no longer had a Bluetooth connection, but to tell you the truth, I usually have my phone with me and the range on the watch and the phone on Bluetooth is real good. Much better then my Galaxy Frontier.

Nothing new on non - samsung devices.
Hello everyone,
Like many of you I am having the same problem updating my watch, I have a Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic 46 mm and it is well connected in bluethooh to my Samsung Galaxy S 22 Ultra and also connected in Wifi to my Orange Box (Fiber).
As soon as I ask for the update, this one:
On my phone "copying the update to your watch.."
Except that it loads endlessly and nothing happens!!!
I see that there is the same problem on Galaxy Watch 4 but also Galaxy Watch 5.
Is there a solution please?
Thank you in advance for your assistance
I had this problem in the past with watch 4 and S22 u. I solved it by shutting down the Bluetooth before downloading the upgrade, thus letting the watch to download it directly via wifi. I think that per default it's trying via the phone and for same reasons it's not working. I reconnected to the phone before applying the update.
Hello,
Thank you for your answer @Marcelocohenarg , I tried to do what you described to me above in your comment and unfortunately it does not work. The watch absolutely wants the connection with the phone in bluetooth in order to do the update, when I disconnect the bluetooth, a message appears telling me that the bluetooth connection between the watch and the phone is mandatory. I contacted Samsung, they made me install the Samsung Members app to generate a bug report and within 15 days I should have an answer for this BUG, whether a new update will fix this problem or whether I need to send my watch to Samsung's after-sales service.
Do you have any other solutions or ideas?
Thanks in advance and have a nice day everyone.
Nicholas
Hello, the requirement to be connected to the phone is new to me, perhaps it's something that appeared with the new release. Assuming the wearable app has all the permissions, another silly question is if you tried to do this being connected with both phone and watch to a different wifi network, and of you tried via 4G / 5G, that is, shutting down the wifi both in the phone and in the watch.
I faced the same issue, and I've read somewhere, a suggestion to clear all data from the galaxy apps on the phone.
I didn't worked for me (even did a reset on the watch), but you can try that one.
For me, the solution was to do a reset on the watch, use a 2nd phone to config the watch as new (no restore), than I was able to update. After that, reset again, repair with old phone and restore backup.
I had the same problem, the update did not work through phone, only through wifi on the watch itself (bluetooth disabled, not connected to phone)
Hello everyone, @Marcelocohenarg , @spysky , @smashda ,
again a big thank you for your messages and your help in solving my software update problem.
I checked the Galaxy Wearable app on my phone and there are all necessary permissions.
I'm at my work right now and I can't test all the solutions you offer me to solve my problem. What I know is that the watch absolutely wants to go through a phone to do this update. I don't have any other Android phones around, most people I know have Apple phones (Sheep lol). So I thought of one thing, I have a Samsung Galaxy TAB A tablet from 2015, do you think it is possible that I install Galaxy Wearable on it and reset my Galaxy Watch 4 with my tablet in order to pretend it's the same as a second android phone that I don't have on hand???
Thanks in advance for your help and feedback.
Hi, I have a Galaxy Tab S2, that I think is also very old, and I just installed the Galaxy wearable app, so what you propose probably can be done. I don't know if the watch itself can be connected to two different devices at the same time, so you may need to disconnect it from the phone. Just out of curiosity, because there are a lot of people including me that didn't have this problem, could it be that you have another app that could be interfering with this? Tell us if you succeed.
Goodnight all, @Marcelocohenarg , @spysky , @smashda ,
I tested a reset of my watch and the installation of Galaxy Wearable on my tablet, unfortunately the association cannot be made between a watch and the tablet for the Wearable application, here is the message delivered by the tablet: " It is not possible to associate a watch or a bracelet with a tablet for the Galaxy Wearable application".
Suddenly, I'm really annoyed because I don't have many people around me who use an Android phone. I do not know what to do anymore. If you have other ideas, I'm all ears.
In the meantime, thank you
Hello, Hello everyone, @Marcelocohenarg , @spysky , @smashda ,
Solution found, I asked a friend to lend me his Samsung Galaxy Note 9 smartphone running Android 10, I factory reset my Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic 46mm completely, I installed the Galaxy Wearable app on the Samsung Note 9 and I followed the steps to associate the phone and the watch, then I launched the search for update, the download of this one went correctly and crucial moment the copy of update s is done correctly and the installation too. After that, I reset my watch again and paired it with my Galaxy S22 Ultra for good and everything works!!!
Unfortunately I still do not explain why the last update of my Galaxy Watch 4 (GVK7) did not want to be done via my personal phone and my watch. It may be a software version problem or other but in any case no hardware defect of the watch.
I hope that my feedback can help you if in the days to come you encounter the same problem.
Thank you again for your messages and your help ;-)

Hello everyone,
here is Samsung's solution in a photo following the error report I sent them, unfortunately I couldn't test if it worked because I reset my watch with a friend's Galaxy Note 9 and I updates from his phone.
I wish you a good Sunday.
Yesterday i have the same problem and it was simple to recover that....
Just turn off your phone, connect your watch to a wi fi network, go to settings on your watch and apply for updates.
Hi
I have always had this problem. Pixel 4a GW4 Classic.
I tried also multiple times. No luck. But then I remembered.... Watch and phone connected to same WiFi. Start the update from the watch. If it's starts downloading, turn off Bluetooth in watch. Hope it helps, next time.
