Is there Nogout for the HTC M8 Verizon? - Verizon HTC One (M8)

Hello, fellow members. I have a Verizon HTC M8 on the way and when I get it I want to to put and flash custom nogout or oreo but probably nogout. Im new to HTC but not the root flash game, i'v been doing this since the original moto droid days. I don't see any nogout roms for this device in this Verizon section for the HTC M8. With that being said my question is this. Is there any nogout ROMs for this device that work and are fully functional? Everyone have a Happy New Years.

Same question here. I have to send the 10 in already for a new battery. Firing up the ole M8. Thought I would modernize it a bit.

Some of the roms from the m8 section thread work. I'm using aokp, crdroid, and slim rom. AICP also works but there's a bug in reading the SD card which hasn't been fixed yet. Those roms run smooth. If you want viper4android to work with nogout on the m8 you have to flash the vipercleanerzip which someone gave me the link to and you can get it from that post. If you don't get any lte data all you have to do is type this number into your dialer *#*#4636#*#* then press phone info and change the preferred network type to LTE/CDMA/GSM/UMTS then reboot but I only had to do that once on slim rom. Hope this helps you.

[Q] Flashing international or custom ROM

Hi folks,
I have HTC 8X that I got from AT&T. Is it possible to flash a custom ROM or international ROM to it? It is very annoying to wait for the portico update. International ones gets the update faster and have internet sharing enabled by default as far as I know. Is it possible to flash international or custom ROM to such phone? My phone is developer unlocked if that helps...
Have a look in the development section.

there is no custom ROMs yet, right? I was looking for anything that can be so called Custom Rom but I found only unlocking stuff on so on. I need something to see folder system of my phone and to be able to install XAPs. Any ideas? is it even possible for future?
There are no custom ROMs yet. However I've seen wp8 running on the HD2, I've seen some progress made by our awesome devs here in 8x dev forums and wp8 dev forums.
If you'd like things to go faster, however, you have a couple of options now, you can start with downloading the wp8 emulator, a few stock roms from this or the nokia lumia forums, mount with ImgMount Tool from AnDim (wp8 dev section), and start improvising a way to make your desires work! Good luck!
There is hope

[Q] m8 unlocked version rom

i have the tagged and branded verizon version cuz i had no choice but did someone ever extract the htc one unlocked rom so i can flash it and get the htc one m8 rom experience without the bad Verizon experience? i looked through the roms a little bit and asked google but couldnt find anything that seemed to be just a straight pull from the original m8

Look again. I don't know if you mean a ROM like the Google Play edition, or the M8 with all the HTC stuff, but minus the Verizon bloat. Either way, there are several of the latter, and one (at least) of the former).

[Q] Verizon HTC One ROM Question

I have a quick question about the Verizon variant of the HTC One M8. I just received my HTC One from Verizon. I quickly set to rooting and gaining S-Off. I was able to use Firewater and Weaksauce to gain root and S-Off really easily. Now, I am looking into flashing a different ROM, and here is where I am getting confused. I am wanting to use an AOSP ROM. However, there are very few AOSP builds in the Verizon HTC One forum. I did a bit of digging and I found that Cyanogenmod merged their releases into one device, uniquely named m8. So, my question: Will ROMs developed for just the HTC One M8 work for my Verizon M8? I don't want to flash a ROM and end up screwing something up (of course, I have made a stock rooted backup, but knowing my luck, something will happen and I will be SOL).

It MUST say that it is compatible. Some roms say "for all variants" which means all versions of the phone.

Wow, you're quite lucky to gain Firewater with a brand new device this late after it being fixed on new M8's. To answer your question, not all ROM's developed for the non carrier M8 will work on the carrier M8's (Verizon in this case), some will such as Cyanogenmod but not all. Usually the developers will say whether or not your carrier version (Once more, Verizon in this case) is compatible with their ROM, sometimes they don't but you can almost always find out by reading further into the thread as almost always someone else has asked. Oh and thank you's to @Quadrider10 for this part here(about it saying it's compatible), usually if it doesn't say it is compatible then it isn't but as I said you can always confirm it via replies to the thread or asking yourself.
Onto Cyanogenmod in specific, yes it will work perfectly on your device. I've personally tried it myself and honestly it is quite stable to be a "nightly". Anyways yeah it works and you'll be fine, just as always insure you have a working backup just incase.

You have no idea how shocked I was that it worked. I installed Sunshine and it took me to the payment screen, so I thought I would give it a shot. Took about two minutes and it threw up that beautiful "You are now S-Off" message. Reboot to bootloader and sure enough, it worked. It did prompt me to update on my first boot, but I declined it. I am assuming I either got old stock or Verizon was just being extra lazy.
Anyway, thanks again for the quick responses. Going to give CM11 a shot!

Cyanogenmod for E8

Are we ever going to get an official cyanogenmod for E8?
This device appears to be ignored by its own manufacturers, I bought mine unlocked from amazon but it hasn't gotten any updates. I've unlocked bootloader thanks to guides in here and was able to root it successfully.
Now what? I'm still stuck with a sense 6 device and a 4.4.2 kitkat, is it possible to even attempt to install the cyanogenmod made for M8?
The reason I'm doing this is to get LTE with T-Mobile and a decent android experience with cyanogenmod.
I have just put CM 12.1 lollipop on my Sprint HTC one e8. I put on the m8 build and it runs beautifully... Except for one little detail. I can't get it to connect to my phone service. So, no texting or calls at this point. I was running it for a few hours before I realised that. I'm researching now how to fix this issue. I hope I can find something and update it for you. Cheers!
Hello! I'm going to try this too. I've been running 4.4 but it's just went crap on me so I have to either reload a ROM that's very old or go for something new. Mines a m8sw.

I used the one for the m8, but it didn't have cell connectivity so no phone or SMS/MMS. I tried flashing the radio but that didn't work so I went back to stock. If you have any luck getting the phone to work with that build, I'd love to hear about how you did it so I could try. I really want CM!

I actually didn't get around to checking the camera. I wish I had. I went back to stock for now because I needed to be able to make calls.
try to ask developers to help your issue
i tried to post many requests in m8 section but no answer ...

Verizon M8 and CM13

Greetings everybody! I just purchased a refurb M8 (stupid duo cam isnt working, but I'm not here for that) and noticed the lack of forums for CM13 support. I had a rezound many many years ago and back then there was a "dont want sense, dont get an HTC" sort of mentality. Is this still true? I want to try CM13 on it and can't find a certain link to a download. Do the nighties on the CM site work for all carrier variants, and generally are there problems on the device? Thanks in advance.
I think the GSM phones work better with CM13. Verizon seems to always be a little difficult. I think CM13 only has one unified build.
CM13 Builds
You can use CM13 on a Verizon M8, but my experience is that you'll lose 4G LTE unless you flash CM13, flash stock recovery, then factory reset. From there you can do whatever (including reflash a custom recovery). I'm currently using a stock ROM because CM13 was too buggy.
Any other major problems? Thanks for the feedback

CM13 user here, just wanted to chime in and say I've had basically 0 issues with it on the VZW M8 over the past several months. 4G works perfectly fine, it's nice and clean, just follow the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc...m-cyanogenmod-13-0-nightlies-htc-one-t3256696
Every few weeks someone manages to work a minor bug into the nightlies (that's why they exist), but they are usually patched next day or overcome by simply reverting a day and waiting for a quick fix.
I can neither confirm nor deny the need to flash/revert/reset for 4G because this is something I already needed to do a while back for a completely different GPE ROM, but I didn't have any 4G issues when I switched to CM. I consider it an inevitable step when initially starting down the ROM path. Just back up whatever's important and go for it
