[Q] m8 unlocked version rom - Verizon HTC One (M8)

i have the tagged and branded verizon version cuz i had no choice but did someone ever extract the htc one unlocked rom so i can flash it and get the htc one m8 rom experience without the bad Verizon experience? i looked through the roms a little bit and asked google but couldnt find anything that seemed to be just a straight pull from the original m8

Look again. I don't know if you mean a ROM like the Google Play edition, or the M8 with all the HTC stuff, but minus the Verizon bloat. Either way, there are several of the latter, and one (at least) of the former).

[Q] ROM install problem

I think I have a big problem, because I have no ROM installed on my htc one x and also no ROM on the memory. So now I don't know how to install a rom to get it working again. And can't get adb working without a rom installed.
Hope someone can help me?
How did you remove the ROM from your device in the first place?
You're going to have to be a bit more clear. There is not much flashing you can do on the XL as of now, so you may be out of luck if you tried to flash the international One X rom...

Huh? Unfortunately none of that makes sense, bro. I can appreciate if English isn't your first language but try guiding us through the steps you had taken to get there. That way we'll be able to provide assistance in reversing these adverse changes.
We've all screwed up our phones at one point I'm sure. Just got mine working after a couple days of extreme fear and frustration, so I'm more than happy to help fix yours if it's possible. I'll keep an eye out for your response so please post soon.
wrong forum i think, hes looking for the international one x forum!
Add one more to the poor naming of phones and threads...
it is called the att htc one x though!

That would be the bad phone naming part. The second part would be xda not decerning it and naming one thread s4 or America edition.
yeah they should add ATT HTC One X S4
then the other HTC One X Tegra 3 International lol
Where can I find the European forum?
This can be closed. I fixed it by flashing back my previous boot.img.

Remove branding HTC One X

Hey guys
Is there anyway I can remove all the Optus bloatware on my one x... and remove all the optus apps... I don't really wanna throw a custom rom on it, or is the a RUU that I can download that will do the trick? I got lucky and put a stock RUU on my old Desire HD (had a bad run with custom roms), and got rid of all the 3 branding and apps so hopefully I can do the same to the one x...
Thanks in advance guys...
CleanRom 2.0 is amazing
I just installed it on my rogers device and it is extremely fast.
350mb+ ram is available at all times.
Oh and there is no bloatware which means no branding, uses super cool nexus boot logo instead of rogers or att.

Infobar A02, anyone?

First off, I'd like to apologize for dublicating my own post The original's here: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40123979&posted=1#post40123979
Second, yes, the same question: Has anyone here tried to unlock this phone? the Infobar A02 is basically a modified version of HTC One X, so some one on 2chan suggest that we should follow the same procedure of unlocking AT-T HTC One X for this one. Btw, HTCDev already S-ON/OFF this device.
Thank you for any kind of helping here. I'm anxiously waiting for any solutions, since I like this phone:laugh:
The one x is completely unlockable thru HTCdev. Unless you own the att version because HTC blocks att cids

Edit* googled it like a smart kid, not available til january. phooey
@wilkin: This is a very interesting phone. I like the UI, honestly, so I'm looking for a way to unlock this.
@area51: I'm not talking about the AT-T version of HTC One X. I'm talking about this one: youtube.com/watch?v=-6O1-y6x-Ko
Like I said, it's a very heavily modified version of the HTC One X, so someone from 2chan (anonymously chatroom for japanese) suggest that after rooting, we should follow the same procedure of unlocking the AT-T's HTC One X to unlock this one.

If it's heavily modified then it's not really similar. Are you talking about hardware or software

I know this is an old thread, but since there's unlock directions now:
This article describes how to SIM-unlock the Infobar after you've achieved S-Off. Pull misc.img and some modem files (follow the commands the site gives you, I'm guessing), use a binary editor to edit misc.img so that (address?) 00001020 reads 02, then push it back into the phone. Poof, unlocked. If the Chinese sites are any indication, this unlock applies to the CDMA side as well, if you're planning to use it on a CDMA carrier that does SIMs.

[Q] Verizon HTC One ROM Question

I have a quick question about the Verizon variant of the HTC One M8. I just received my HTC One from Verizon. I quickly set to rooting and gaining S-Off. I was able to use Firewater and Weaksauce to gain root and S-Off really easily. Now, I am looking into flashing a different ROM, and here is where I am getting confused. I am wanting to use an AOSP ROM. However, there are very few AOSP builds in the Verizon HTC One forum. I did a bit of digging and I found that Cyanogenmod merged their releases into one device, uniquely named m8. So, my question: Will ROMs developed for just the HTC One M8 work for my Verizon M8? I don't want to flash a ROM and end up screwing something up (of course, I have made a stock rooted backup, but knowing my luck, something will happen and I will be SOL).

It MUST say that it is compatible. Some roms say "for all variants" which means all versions of the phone.

Wow, you're quite lucky to gain Firewater with a brand new device this late after it being fixed on new M8's. To answer your question, not all ROM's developed for the non carrier M8 will work on the carrier M8's (Verizon in this case), some will such as Cyanogenmod but not all. Usually the developers will say whether or not your carrier version (Once more, Verizon in this case) is compatible with their ROM, sometimes they don't but you can almost always find out by reading further into the thread as almost always someone else has asked. Oh and thank you's to @Quadrider10 for this part here(about it saying it's compatible), usually if it doesn't say it is compatible then it isn't but as I said you can always confirm it via replies to the thread or asking yourself.
Onto Cyanogenmod in specific, yes it will work perfectly on your device. I've personally tried it myself and honestly it is quite stable to be a "nightly". Anyways yeah it works and you'll be fine, just as always insure you have a working backup just incase.

That's what I thought, but I figured I would ask.

You have no idea how shocked I was that it worked. I installed Sunshine and it took me to the payment screen, so I thought I would give it a shot. Took about two minutes and it threw up that beautiful "You are now S-Off" message. Reboot to bootloader and sure enough, it worked. It did prompt me to update on my first boot, but I declined it. I am assuming I either got old stock or Verizon was just being extra lazy.
Anyway, thanks again for the quick responses. Going to give CM11 a shot!

A few questions after owning a one M9

So I got my U11 a month ago and it's been great. But after 7 years of installing roms I'm really tempted to unlock the bootloader and install one of these great roms we have here. Or turn it into the US unlocked version. I've owned a HTC one M9 once, so I know my way around to get back to stock and stuff. But will I be able to get OTA's with my U11? Back when I had my M9 I was able to get back to stock and get OTA's. I was even able to turn my M9 in to the US unlocked edition by changing the cid and mid and installing the RUU from HTC's website. It felt amazing when I got Nougat faster than my friends HTC 10 EMEA version So, Is this still possible for my Dual sim HTC U11 EMEA region? Or does that only work for the single sim version?
Would love to hear from one of you guys!
