Partial?!-BSOD Stuck and not sure what next beyond factory reset - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have what seems to be at least a partial BSOD on my s6. I can boot to both Odin and Recovery mode, I have wiped the cache, but no matter what I cannot get an unlock screen. I can however get my peel remote lockscreen app, which funny enough did not work previously when the phone was locked, but does now the screen lights when I call it, I can double tap home and get the camera, but thats it. I don't have debugging on so I can't adb and the phone isn't rooted.
Other than doing a factory reset (I really dont want that) I am at a loss. Any ideas?

Gave up and factory reset. Only guess is userland got destroyed somehow - maybe i clicked install overnight instead of later and the baterry died or something.
Oh well

Bootloader freeze

Ok. So i have completely screwed up my phone. I have rooted my phone and installed a few different ROMs on it. I have clockwork recovery installed on my phone and I was using it to clear my data to install a new ROM. I cleared my /system and then did a "reset data/factory reset" and I believe the factory reset is what messed everything up. Now when I boot up my phone it shows "Google" and has a little progress bar that gets to 100% and does nothing after that. My phone will show up on my computer as an ADB device but nothing more. When I boot into my bootloader, it freezes up completely. The volume keys and power button don't do anything.
I have clockwork mod installed but I can not get into it. My last ROM installed was Slim ICS from slimroms[DOT]com (I can't post links yet ) I'm not sure if that is needed but I thought I might throw that in.
Any help would be much appreciated. I am without a phone right now because of my toying around with it.
EDIT: I have solved my issue. I just came back to tell what I did in case someone else hits this problem. Every time I took the battery out and put it back in, my phone would instantly turn on. After about a million times of taking my battery and putting it back in, I noticed that every so often it wouldn't boot up (either because I put the battery in weird and readjusted it or left the battery out for a long time). Whenever my phone would not boot up on its own and I booted into the bootloader, everything would work great. Once I realized this, I left my battery out for about half an hour, put it back in, and everything worked out great. I installed a new ROM and my phone is back to the way it was.

"UIDs on the sytem are inconsistent" error message + deleted data partition

Hey,
yesterday i faced a problem i didn't knew of yet. As i mentioned sometimes, i came from an One M7 2 weeks ago as it didn't work the way it should - camera useless and awful battery life. I rooted the M7, had problems with it and so on - just how it is with a rooted phone + custom roms.
However, due to the DRM i didn't root my Z3 yet. Yesterday i took it out my pocket, thought it was a bit warm.. nevermind. It worked. 30 minutes later i pulled it out again, still warm, and screen wouldn't turn on. I reset it (power and vol+ for those who didn't know), tried to boot again.. well, it took several minutes and finally showed me the attached error message. The system performance was really, really low. Everything stuttered, i couldn't even enter my pin. A few forced reboots later i could finally enter my pin and get into my system only to notice that my data partition wasn't doing fine. I had to set language and so on in the initial setup process, apps kept force-closing in seconds. My own apps were still on the device, however when i tried to open WhatsApp there was no data there, i should have gone through the registration process. The phone froze after seconds each time. I tried to enter the fastboot menu (is it called that way?) while booting to just do a factory reset, didn't find the button combination. So finally, after i found home without navigation from no man's land (sure, why doesn't it happen at home anyway..), i managed to boot it, get through settings and initiate a factory reset. Of course, all the apps were deleted then and i could install all apps like LightFlow again. Had to re-enter all the settings i did in those kind of apps, it was kind of annoying.
So, my questions: Why the hell did this happen to my Z3? Not rooted, didn't even think of it. There wasn't a day on the One M7 without flashing anything and it never happened. It wouldn't have been as bad as it was on the Z3, as i HAD root, could have wiped data in TWRP in a matter of seconds and also had backups of my data, which i of course didn't have for my unrooted Z3.
Is it likely to happen again? Can any app do this on a non-rooted phone? I read a bit about the error, that it would be caused by some apps, but not in the extent as it happened on my phone. Most of the times it would just be an annoying error message.
I got a thing in always getting a defective unit, so i hope it isn't happening again on the Z3
Maybe the internal flash is corrupted/failing. I had a similar issue with my HTC One X I went to nap one day and half hour later it shut down, it restarted but boot looped. Eventually it showed no data partition as being mounted and completely died. They replaced the motherboard.
Better contact Sony, maybe you need a replacement.
Mh, actually that's the least thing i want to do.. I'd have to wait for at least 2 weeks to get it back and chances are that they won't do a thing or damage it (bad experiences with my former Razr i). It works just fine after the factory reset, no errors yet. If it should happen again, i'd of course send it in for repair but i think, until then i will use it normally, with more caution and backups of course.
Probably the cleanest solution HERE

[Q] curiosity killed the phone

so, out of sheer curiosity I was playing with some of the on phone options and saw a little deal that said "encrypt storage"..... well long story short I was not aware that you could not UNdo this without factory reset of the phone, so I have been using the phone this way for awhile.. nothing really a big deal, just annoyed having to enter a code every time i reboot the phone, or leave the screen off for >5 min, and have to re enter the code when i turn the screen on.... now ofc when I attempt a factory reset on the phone it self... it doesn't do anything the phone reboots and its the exact same lol, I'm thinking that may be from me having a custom ROM on it.. so I will attempt to wipe data via fastboot/adb CMD... and hope it works...
now that the explanation is out of the way, I am curious.. will erasing the phone data either by on the phone or thought the CMD, will it unroot and re lock my phone? or is that set and not bothered by data erasing?

If you are properly rooted it should not touch anything other than data.

Stuck on Google startup screen

Hi, I was sitting down with my nexus on my leg with about 40% battery left when it suddenly turned off and then flicked to the google startup page before going blank. After attempting to turn it on again (to no avail), I resorted to plugging it in, which resulted in the phone looping on the google page then vibrating before repeating. I tried to get it into the bootloader menu, but it appeared and then reverted to the google page after the phone vibrated.
I've tried looking up solutions, but the only plausible situation for me seems to be returning it so the warranty can take over. The only hitch with that being that the bootloader is unlocked (not rooted, just the bootloader). I really am stuck, and do not know what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I had this one. Factory reset /wiping data was the only thing that fixed it. I assume something went corrupt with my data

It seems I got lucky. The phone rebooted properly and went to optimise all the apps as it would after an OTA update. It started up and worked as normal, until I restarted it, after being on for about 3 minutes, it turned itself off again. It rebooted in the same manner again, so I've just taken this time to relock the bootloader (so I can use the warranty if I can find proof of purchase (well, the date more importantly)). Hopefully this was just a little glitch, but I will post again for more advice if it goes wrong again (and I'll try a full factory reset first)

S7 Turned off, never restarted again...

so a customer brought me an samsung S7 (SM-G930F) and he had factory resetted it thru recovery and then got it to FRP Lock and couldnt get it open. well we were supposed to go thu the thing via sms message. before we did that, i wanted to factory reset it to begin with. well, i turned it off (it was on set language page) and it turned off, normally showed the logo and vibrated at the end. then i was gonna boot into recovery. pressed the combination and nothing. tried to boot normally and again, nothing. tried like everything. every combination, on ac, on pc, multiple times. no led or any kind of response. then i put it in the ac for overnight (8h+) and nothing... its like completedly bricked. friend in samsung store did something, he put a cable on it and told me hes blocking the battery and display etc, took the cable away and still nothing... he couldnt figure it out... i tried smart switch but i cant go to download so doesnt work. is there anything to do ? do we really need to take it to RMA ? No root or any kind of modifications. it was bought in around relase.
small crack on the left bottom on the recents button (button works tho)
i heard he go thru recent software update but it worked after until now.
i did what i do normally, usually all devices boot in to logo or more but this... just brick. nothing.
ok well we got the receipt and went to samsung store, they said it would go in warranty repair, but because of the small crack in there, they want to replace the screen before they can take it... so i need to pay 200 for new screen so that they can take battery out and put it back in... yippee... i would do that easily exept it would lose warranty...
If your warranty is void until you replace the screen anyway, just remove the back and reconnect the battery yourself
