Pre-enabled usb-debug kernel to mirror broken screen - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone,
I got on my hands an s6 with a broken screen, glass is fine, but it stays black.
I'd like to kinda recover it somehow, but I'm afraid it's not just a "screen issue", so I'd like to test it mirroring its screen via usb (unfortunately S6 doesn't support HDMI). The point is that s6 needs usb-debug to be turned on in order to do this.
I thought about how to blindly enable it helping myself with my main s6 side-by-side, but I'm not sure what Android version the broken one mounts (probably it's not been updated since it was bought), so it seemed not to work.
Is there a way to turn it on, maybe flashing a tweaked kernel? Would you suggest any other solution?

[Q] Nexus 5 Proximity repair

Looks like my proximity sensor is well and fully borked. Light sensor works, but I'm getting zero input from the prox sensor (per sensorbox test).
q1: is there anyway to force the screen to stay on when placing / taking a call? Right now when I place a call, the screen blacks out, and I can't hang up / access the dialer, etc... must shut down the phone.
Q2: is it possible to replace the prox sensor? it looks like it's soldiered to the board.
Thanks.
Frank
Whatever you do, don't edit the build.prop trying to disable it, exact same thing happened to me and I bricked my phone, with no backups, and no USB connection (Micro USB port is messed up)
Also, i found a way, (although i haven't tested it myself, because my phone is dead) through xPosed framework, to completely disable the proximity sensor, because lets be honest, what do you use it for apart from calls?
Here's the link: http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.mrchandler.disableprox

S6 Edge Struck in Grey Screen

I have a Sprint S6 edge and i was not using it as i upgraded to Priv.
Recently, i want to use it and when i switch on the mobile , it just Grey screen with Lines in once off and simple grey screen in other off. The device is getting ON , going to download mode etc. However even after flashing a new firmware the device is still struck in the same screen. Basically i feel that the display is gone. But as the display is getting switched on , can it be any software issue ?
Have any one faced this issue before ? .. Can you please guide me what needs to be done here ?

Cover mode activate itself

Hi everyone !
I face a strange problem,
Last day, my nose started bleeding and a drop of blood has fallen on the lowest speaker. I washed it under clear water to get it off. (Since it's waterproof it shall not create any problems...)
Since this event, the sony style cover mode keep thinking that i'm opening and closing the smart cover.
Firstly, the screen was going on and off by itself, I wans't understanding what's happening since in recovery mode all is working fine.
Later, a pop up showed on my screen asking me to give permissions to smart cover app. I denied since I don't use it.
Luckily I have a smart cover that I don't use (it's not handy when fully opened so I stopped using it, it cannot be because of this since I flashed a lot of differents firmware since this day)
I paired the cover with the phone when the screen was on for enough time. It does had worked and instead of shutting down the screen, displayed the smart cover screen lock (A small square in the center of the screen, fitting with the window)
To avoid this, I deleted the smart cover app folder and datas using recovery, rebooted, miracle ! No more little square screen !
But... Even if the screen is as it should be, touchsceen is not working on the non window areas (it does work only in the square of the window. So I can't use touchscreen outside of this area.
I tried to delete all things I found related to "touchblock" in system and data but it does not worked...
I can do every actions on my phone using Adb with wifi or not, control on the screen using a mouse with otg or using wifi with teamviewer, or using recovery to do everything system side !
If someone is able to help me finding a solution let me know i'll be very grateful !
Thanks for reading (And sorry if i made mistakes in my explainations, English is not my first language )

Hi,
It never happened to me (USB debug always on, in case of emergency), but someone on instructables had the same issue (broken screen/debug off). He managed to enable it via the cerberus app. A bit slow from what he says, but seems to work well. He provides a full walkthrough. Ask goo for cerberus-broken screen- debug...You should find it easily.
Hope it helps,
Good luck

Samsung S7 Edge BSODed - any chances for HW de-bricking?

Saturday my S7 Edge - stock ROM, no root - BSODed:
I picked Up my Phone but it wouldnt turn on the display. no reactions to any button or combo (forced reboot, download mode...).
LED flashed blue like a notification.
I let it run the battery low so it turned off (at least the LED went off).
It doesnt load anymore unfortunately, at least the display wont show anything. Still no reactions to any button when plugged in for hours..
I disassambled it and replaced the battery unit but no change.
Maybe somebody who has gone throughb this too or anyone with a hint?
What could be broken, so I could swap the parts from another one (i.e. a used one with broken display).. the disassably tutorials mention a a"logic board" (=mainboard?), could that be it and is there any hope to recover the internal storage?
Update:
I had to replace the logicboard, so either CPU / RAM / flash storage are broken. I bought another S7 edge with a broken screen for a few bucks got get the "spare parts" and followed common tutorials for disassembly. Phone is back to live now but wirh the "new" IMEI + flash drive.
I was lucky I had Google Backup enabled so I didn't lose any important information.
