Which apps are safe to uninstall Nougat - Samsung Galaxy J7 Questions & Answers

Anyone know which apps are safe to UNJNSTALL on Nougat, i Uninstalled few of them using titanium backup but suddenly WiFi stopped working and after restart phone went into bootloop.
So anyone know which apps are safe to uninstall?
I do have a J5 2016 not J7 but i guess it is all the same thing since we are running same version and samsung experience.

only bloatware system apps are safe to remove...like chrome play books play music and others....rest of the system apps if removed will damage the software functionality...

ive removed 130 or so apps before keeping functionality...just be careful....not nougat but look into this https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j5/themes/apps-safe-to-uninstall-stock-marshmallow-t3554312

Stuff I have installed not showing up in market.

Apps not showing up as installed on the market. Some on phone market, it only shows a few but on the web market most show up but not all.
2.3.3 then wipe. I let it install everything then rooted and did a titanium backup. Could this have boogered something?
the Web Android Market history is "defective"
it doesn't show the apps that has been Uninstalled
so what you see there might not bee accurate
it will only show Installed, if you have synced with it, or needs to be re-installed for it to know that it was already installed
Why would the market on the phone be messed up?
is easy... lol, i just did it again
flashing & restoring from backup, i was playing with some stuff and now market is always force closing...

5.1.1 Customize Multiwindow Apps

Are there any apps yet for a rooted 5.1.1 S6 to choose which apps multiwindow works for? MW Commander is incompatible and crashes on launch and the only other option requires reinstalling each app, loosing your data and not getting play store updates.
I would just use MW Pen. Just bought it yesterday, works great for netflix technically (although not very well in practice as Netflix has to have focus to play). If you have root, reinstalling is not much of a problem as you can just use titanium backup to save and restore your data. Doing this in conjuction with changelog droid will let you know when your modded apps have been updated. Not ideal but, hey

default apps never update

Not sure if its a problem but the apps like bixby, phone, contacts etc. Never update i keep checking the galaxy apps store but nothing. The default phone app is still on verison 2.0.8 when i know 2.1 is out on apkmirror

Some of the apps are updated in the "background" and NOT via "Google Play Store" and/or "Galaxy Apps"...
Also: "staged rollout" is used

Question Debloating this phone with ADB shell commands leads to phone refusing to boot

Hi, I'm new here and this is my first post.
I'm trying to remove Gapps and Samsung apps on this phone using ADB commands.
I cant remember all the names of the apps I've removed but some of them are:
-Play Store, Gmail, Youtube, Facebook ( and fb services)
-Galaxy Store, My Galaxy, Samsung max, samsung free, game launcher
-Netflix, One Drive
However after removing these apps and restarting the phone (it works just fine before rebooting) the phone is stuck in a reboot cycle.
Is there something I need to remove thats checking for the apps or is there one particular app from that list that I should not delete (I hope its not play store)
Any inputs are appreciated.
It's likely one of the core apps that's causing this. Normally I'd suggest a reset or flashing the stock rom again but so far I haven't seen any copy of the stock rom floating around. Try to boot the device into safe mode and see if it works - https://www.samsung.com/in/support/mobile-devices/safe-mode-on-samsung-phones/
I'd suggest disabling the apps you don't need. Those that can't be disabled or uninstalled can be put to deep sleep so they don't use any resources. (This doesn't work for apps like Play Store, Galaxy Store etc).

Thanks, I guessed so too. Also I managed to get into the bootloader or something. Clicked on factory reset and got it back to working condition. Will continue to experiment with what can be removed and not.
You cannot debloat samsung device in that way because it's integrity checking by matching the list of default apps and available apps. since there is a mismatch it's stuck in a bootloader or boot. wait for working root method for android 11 samsung then it will be much more swift to remove stock apps.
Thanks.

Hi
I use the M12 and uninstalled all the apps you mention, less Galaxy Store. I used ADB No problems in my device .
I usually disable the app I want to uninstall and I observe the behavior of Phone, if everything is ok, so I uninstall it it
I would appreciate if you can elaborate your problem and provide more information.

G930F (exynos) debloat gone too far; critical knox/samsung process?

I think I may have gone too far with debloating through ADB. I did most of the work months ago with excellent results. But lastnight out of curiosity, whilst going through apps and storage, I saw that I had missed several samsung apps, and wanted to free up some space so I pulled up ADB, and removed anything pertaining to:
Samsung Upday, push service, Samsung Pass, pay, and samsung cloud. Also any package that had knox in the name.
Since doing this, Gapps no longer works. I can still open up the play store, but if I click to install an app, it does not respond. There's also no longer a tab to show my installed apps, apps won't update etc.
Does anyone know which samsung package I deleted is critical for playstore to function? Thanks.
