Okay guys so I've had this issue before, it's an Issue with play store not restoring all apps after reinstalling a new ROM.
It causes me a lot of time to have to restore & individually download about 50% of the apps that didn't manage to restore from play store.
You can see them all sitting my my apps/all section of the play store but in the history yet not restored/installed.
Very rarely have I ever managed to have the play store restore every single app without fail.
Anybody else experiencing this problem?
I know that I could theoretically use Titanium Backup to restore the apps but this shouldn't be necessary for apps downloaded from play store
Titanium backup restores are far quicker......and use no data. And puts your phone back the way it was....aside from system settings.
Not sure why anyone would not use it who flashes ROMs.
Rooted LG G3 d851 4.4.2 T-Mobile
I downgraded to older versions of gosms pro and snapchat for numerous reasons... I had researched how to avoid app updates and deselected auto update in the play store. Additionally, i detached both apps from play store with titanium backup... They tend to always show up in my update queue from time to time but i never update them and select apps one by one or detach again and update all... Well today somehow after switching batteries and turning my phone back on both apps force updated themselves... What the? Anyone else experience this?
Since no one answered this putting it out there in car anyone elsenhas problems. I figured out after posting this. TB was being greenified and for some reason apps I had detatched from play store were reassociating as new and requiring update and this and at that time Play Store would auto select auto update however now it doesn't do that

Anyone know which apps are safe to UNJNSTALL on Nougat, i Uninstalled few of them using titanium backup but suddenly WiFi stopped working and after restart phone went into bootloop.
So anyone know which apps are safe to uninstall?
I do have a J5 2016 not J7 but i guess it is all the same thing since we are running same version and samsung experience.
only bloatware system apps are safe to remove...like chrome play books play music and others....rest of the system apps if removed will damage the software functionality...
ive removed 130 or so apps before keeping functionality...just be careful....not nougat but look into this https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j5/themes/apps-safe-to-uninstall-stock-marshmallow-t3554312
I'm thinking of turning off auto-update of Apps from Play Store for several reasons:
- it's often happened that I've installed something that worked great, and an update removed features or added junk
- for apps that rely on root, chance of crashing the system
- YouTube Vance requires auto-updates to be off.
But maybe I'm not seeing all the pros and cons.
What are your thoughts: on a rooted phone, let the Play Store auto-update, or turn it off?
Hi, I'm new here and this is my first post.
I'm trying to remove Gapps and Samsung apps on this phone using ADB commands.
I cant remember all the names of the apps I've removed but some of them are:
-Play Store, Gmail, Youtube, Facebook ( and fb services)
-Galaxy Store, My Galaxy, Samsung max, samsung free, game launcher
-Netflix, One Drive
However after removing these apps and restarting the phone (it works just fine before rebooting) the phone is stuck in a reboot cycle.
Is there something I need to remove thats checking for the apps or is there one particular app from that list that I should not delete (I hope its not play store)
Any inputs are appreciated.
It's likely one of the core apps that's causing this. Normally I'd suggest a reset or flashing the stock rom again but so far I haven't seen any copy of the stock rom floating around. Try to boot the device into safe mode and see if it works - https://www.samsung.com/in/support/mobile-devices/safe-mode-on-samsung-phones/
I'd suggest disabling the apps you don't need. Those that can't be disabled or uninstalled can be put to deep sleep so they don't use any resources. (This doesn't work for apps like Play Store, Galaxy Store etc).

Thanks, I guessed so too. Also I managed to get into the bootloader or something. Clicked on factory reset and got it back to working condition. Will continue to experiment with what can be removed and not.
You cannot debloat samsung device in that way because it's integrity checking by matching the list of default apps and available apps. since there is a mismatch it's stuck in a bootloader or boot. wait for working root method for android 11 samsung then it will be much more swift to remove stock apps.
Thanks.

Hi
I use the M12 and uninstalled all the apps you mention, less Galaxy Store. I used ADB No problems in my device .
I usually disable the app I want to uninstall and I observe the behavior of Phone, if everything is ok, so I uninstall it it
I would appreciate if you can elaborate your problem and provide more information.
