Hi everyone.
I have always been keen on the Z5 and I wouldn't mind getting my hands on one even now, two years after its release, price is fairly decent nowadays and I have never been one to have the latest super-duper phone.
The best price for now is for the Dual Sim version. I wanted to ask you guys if this version has been known to be any more problematic than the Single Sim one or not. I don't particularly care for having the Dual Sim option, it's not a necessity for me, I'd get it just because it's cheaper at the moment.
Many thanks.
No problems, but keep in mind that (unlike the single sim version) it does not support LTE-Advanced (aka 4g+).
By the way, I always recommend Xperia X over Z5. It's 6 month newer, doesn't have heating issues, has better camera and I assume it'll receive Android 8.

Hi all, would appreciate if anyone can give me recommendations for a dual sim android phone.
Here are the main things I care about, more or less in order of importance:
1. Great battery life (or ok battery life with removable battery and spare battery readily available to buy)
2. Powerful/fast - lots of memory, fast processor, preferably up-to-date android OS
3. Pre-loaded with android play store and upgradeable (if I understand correctly some of the Chinese dual sim phones have issues here)
4. Decent camera & resolution
That's about it, not asking for much then
I care less about weight, thickness, screen size (although less than 4" would be a pain), funky features & bloatware etc.
I've looked at a few choices like samsung galaxy grand 2, huawei g700, htc one dual sim, but reviews seem mixed and most seem to do badly in one or more of the above.
My only experience with dual sim was the samsung galaxy grand 1, and I didn't like it because I thought the battery life was pretty bad, underpowered and screen quality surprisingly awful.
If you know of any phones that fit the bill or you're using one that you think would be good please let me know.
Thanks!
Hmm, maybe what I'm after doesn't exist.
If anyone is using a dual sim android phone please let me know your experience so I can make some choice.
Anyone using the samsung grand 2? If that's like the one with better battery life and runs smoothly might go for that
The Best SmartFone available in Its Range is Gionee Elife E6.
You can have a try at that..!
Thanks, I'll check it out

You could consider galaxy S5, or S4, or HTC Desire 816, I wouldn't recommend a no name brand even thought it might seem a deal price - specifications, notice how all got 4.2.2 Android and will probably stay that way for good, too many compromises, I know from experience..
Purchase the Videocon A24... Thats a superb phone for you.. And also for me

Hi Guys, I'm wondering if Mi4 is still worth it to get today. I have the chance on also getting the Mi4C instead. So I would like to know your experience with it and if you have had the chance to try and compare it to the Mi4C, what would you recommend me to go for.
Mi4 or Mi4C
I wonder if is it a deal breaker to get the Mi4c over the Mi4, taking in count both cameras and the processor. Considering also both with 3 gb ram, and software development such as custom roms and xiaomi official firmware.
Thanks

I did get the mi4 because:
- Better design (in my opinion)
- possibility to install w10
- more roms ( i think)
and in terms of performance and camera they are almost equal.
Mi4 should have better camera, F1.8 aperture size.
I am going to buy a new smartphone and the 2 alternatives are Mi4 3gb no LTE (my operator uses mainly 800mhz lte) and Redmi Note 3 Pro 3gb. Prices are $160 for Mi4 and $216 for Redmi. I don´t like phablet but the newer hardware of Redmi Note 3 Pro is also interesting... Any advice?
I'm not a pro, so my advice may be wrong, but I believe the Mi4 kernal is open so you can will get more longer term custom ROM support (eg Cyanogenmod) where as the Redmi might have better specs, but the kernel source may never be released and therefor you'll be restricted to whatever version of MIUI Xiaomi choose to releases on the device. I was faced with exactly the same choice and went with the Mi4. Infact I am about to install CM13 on it.

Ah, I was actually thinking of the Redmi Note 2 which hasn't got a kernel release if I'm not mistaken. I would go for the Note 3 in your case. Better specs, and bigger screen is a good thing too.
Not to bump a thread a few days old, but I'd say the Mi 4. I just bought one on sale for $145 or so with shipping. I was torn as well but the hardware is what appeals to me the most. I also like how you can install Windows Phone 10 on it, I might do that for a few days just to reminisce of my WP days.

Hi,
Have you tried posting your question here https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1846277 ?
And I would personally suggest the Le Pro 3 if you don't care about software updates and custom roms.
If you do care about those, you might wind up getting one of the Xiaomi you cited.
Or you could get the Xiaomi Mi A1 with stock Android (Android One) on the expense of less processor power (but good software).

Actually, I was wrong about that!
Usually, LeEco doesn't officially update their phones (what a shame!), but XDA has great support for few of them and luckily for you, the LeEco Pro 3 is one of those. You can check out in the Le Pro 3 development forum.
I'd say that the Le Pro 3 has more software support than the Mi Note 2 and the Mi 5. Xiaomi also doesn't really provide periodic updates. And the Le Pro 3 has more support on XDA than these phones.
Thank you so much

so i will have a look if i find a good sales price !

Expansys is iffy. You can order from WondaMobile or Clove. I bought my single sim from Clove, but unfortunately had an issue with the display. They ran out of purple so I opted for a refund. Instead, I bought the dual sim version from WondaMobile (they ship from HK). Shipped to the US in 2 days!

Battery life is a bit better compared to the XZ3. Roughly 6-7 hours SoT with heavy usage. The phone exceeded my expectations. It's thin, lightweight, easy to hold in the hand, buttery smooth as all xperia flagships, and camera is great as well. There's a video on YouTube by flashingdroid comparing the picture quality with the S10+ (Xperia 1 was better)
I agree with some points from other people that low light photos can be improved, so hopefully more camera updates will be released. There are a few things I nitpick on, like accidentally unlocking the phone while putting it in my pocket. Other than that, definitely was a great immediate upgrade from my XZ3.

It won't work on Verizon if you get any of the international variants. You'll have to wait for the J8170 to be released here in the US on July 12 (or 14), since the J8170 is the only model with CDMA. SoT was over a period of roughly 14 hours.

This phone is a overall better performer. Better processor, better display ( Mi A3 has only 720p screen, that doesn't affect anything if you are coming from a 720p screen). But damn!!!! ColorOS is just ****ty. I would prefer stock android over this anyday. Hope ColorOS 7 is better
