I know its a very basic and stupid question but i had never came across a situation where i get to upgrade the OS over an alphabet
So the question is - Will i be able to install and run the apks of apps that are extracted while running KitKat on Lollipop?

Of course. If they killed retrocompatibility, hell would break loose. Or at least angry costumers.

I am not talking about backward compatibility..
For example - If I extract the apk of xyz app and save it to some cloud while running KtKat. Then i upgrade to Lollipop and download that apk from cloud and install it while running Lollipop.

That's backwards compatibility. And yes, the APK should work perfectly.
Ohh..ok..my bad.. But then why are some apps adding in their deception whelther Lollipop is supported of not?
As far as I know not all apps support ART right now, so if you have some app that only runs with dalvik it may not be compatible with Lollipop
Farming Simulator 13
Hi. I tried to run farming simulator 13 on lollipop but the app seems to work only on kitkat. Is it possibpe to run this app on lollipop, even knowing that the app is not compatible?
I've been looking for a stock Android ROM for the s7 edge but the two roms Nyssa and KryxOS had too many issues and we're unstable. (Nyssa ROM development has also been cut short)
So im making this tutorial for those who want Nexus but still want GearVR and stability! And FYI this ROM is ODEXED.
Step 1)
Download a ROM called BasicPlus 4.5 (or any latest BasicPlus)
Step 2)
Wipe phone internal/system/delvik/etc in TWRP
Step 3) install BasicPlus ROM
Step 4)
Download Nexus conversion pack zip file and install it through TWRP
Step 5)
Download titanium backup and remove any Samsung apps you don't want
Step 6)
Enjoy

Why do you want to get close to Stock Android (Nexus)? I personally feel, that Samsung TouchWiz UI is already better than Stock Android. Stock Android is just vanilla with poor breed of softwares like Camera.

In this you still keep the stock Samsung camera but things like the phone, messaging app, gallery, etc all change to google. Also you're pull down menu and settings menu is unchanged stays the same as stock TouchWiz, so it's a mix kind of and it's very nice if you're looking for stock Android but still keep main Samsung functions
daaamn that's tempting.. i still didn't lost my warranty so hasitating.. but vanilla look with samsung apps.. that's like dreams come true for me

I used the ROM BasicPlus because it's very light and in aroma you can remove anything Samsung and it will still run flawlessly! When I installed basic plus I only had 8-9 apps (phone, calculator, google play store, etc) I even removed the internet browser. It's pretty much an empty ROM with amazing features but you choose everything! Hope who ever tries it gives some feedback

If you want security updates you can flash them if I'm not mistaken but over all these isn't anything new that's necessarily "experience" changing that's worth an update. This ROM works and it's flawless so far, to that I say, to each his own. If you have any ROM suggestions id gladly look at them!

There is a debloat script that remove all the bloat apps that samsung has: http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/themes/samsung-galaxy-s7-s7-edge-bloat-list-t3359654
So i think it doesnt matter what rom you install, and therefor i think we dosent have to stick with Basic rom beacase it has removeble script in the aroma installer. We can install any rom and use this script.
What do you think?

I agree with you completely, but I mentioned basic plus because that's what I used and it worked. I didn't use this process with any other ROM so I didn't want to risk an error happening to any user who reads this. Either way, appreciate your input.

OneUI port roms are incomplete and got a lot of system, ram and have a lot of bug and nothing works in system and i think battery performance in Havoc Os now i using its great battery life and now usage ram is lower than 800 mb
Many apps i can install in aosp like samsung app
But in OneUI i can not install it.
I used note20 ultra port and all of OneUI roms ported. I like radical quak rom but in arm64 have lot of bugs. Now because i installed this roms my battery is broke and always my phine charging.
Sorry for my bad english.

Where can I download the Android 11 gestures for Le 2?
Any apps using obb files can not be installed. Also I can not recreate the obb folder, which is located in the Android folder, as I can not delete it neither from the phone nor using a pc. When I tried to delete it through PC it showed that device is disconnected while it wasn't. Any work around? BTW I was trying to install Call of Duty: Mobile®.

Sorry my fault... I forgot to flash magisk But sadly I am going to revert back to Android Q. Android R is just too much buggy for an average user like me. I found out a way to place the obb file though (but I couldn't try it as my device did show offline when I used adb devices through pc).
I don't know the adb showin offline is a fault of Pixel Exerience or Android R but I don't have enough patience to stick around and test it through Arrow OS 11. But I hope you can, and if you do and by chance succeed, please let me know. I love the way Android 11 is with all its UI tweaks and other features. I guess I will have to wait until the official update arrives for my official phone (I don't want it's warranty void).
Thanks in advance/

Hi @alonsoj636
Just need to request you 3 things for this rom Stability, Bug-free Camera and Banking apps Running without a need to install or hide with Magisk some apps like HDFC, PayZapp and Some other apps not working since PE 10 without hiding with magisk hide on Le 2 X526.
Except the camera bug on PE 9 its still the perfect rom in all sense as compared to all other out there for le 2 in my opinion thanks to @Rk585 for his efforts.
@alonsoj636 Just want to request you to please make this as best possible rom as you can we Le 2 users are with you...always
Hope this gets official soon...

1. Crdroid - Absolutely amazing. Very stable, fast and customizable with monthly updates and maintained by an excellent dev.
2. Arrow Os - Great for battery life and stability with many updates and bug fixes, also maintained by a pro developer.
3. Pixel Experience - Amazing Pixel UI, great performance and smoothness.
4. Lineage Os - Speaks for itself.
5. Awaken Os - Smooth, minimal and very underrated.
6. Evolution X - Very customizable, tons of updates, but comes with occasional bugs which are mostly fixed.
HavocOS and Derpfest also performed well.
CAF based like Project404 and ParanoidAndroid but for now on 404 not working NFC and paranoid latest build the same.

Please don't listen to people on telegram, they are braindead 12 year olds, who also happen to buildbot roms they never update. If you want a good MIUI ROM, then you should try MIUI Hellas.
And also, elite ROM gives high priority to performance - only in the changelog.
But again you're free to use whichever ROM you like

First of all, thanks for taking the time to answer. I'm coming from a poco one so it's been a while since I installed a rom and once I install it I stick with it.
I'm not super picky, I just want one with good performance, battery and everything working (nfc, IR, cam, etc). I don't want to change rom 10 times till I found the one so I try to inform myself without asking the question that everyone hates on this forums "which is the best rom" hahaha, so again, I really appreciate you helping me.
I was between crdriod and arrow but I can see you know what you're talking about so if you say Hellas....Hellas it is

If you don't mind MIUI, there is another method. Maybe this is also suitable for you. With the help of the Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot Tools, simply remove the bloatware with a few mouse clicks. I did this and am enjoying a very good battery life. All apps/services specified in the tool can be safely uninstalled and reinstalled if desired. It's just up to you to figure out if you need them or not.

Again, thanks for helping!!
I did this in my current poco 1 when I bought it 4 years ago and used with the current stock till today but on those days it was an automatic script, I didn't have to manually select what to Uninstall.
When I checked to do it for the poco x3 I though that I had to go one by one and I don't have the knowledge to understand which one is safe or not so I'll rather just install a new clean rom and that's it. I believe it will be faster and easier for me

If you like MIUI, try XiaomiEU rom, it is chinese version (it's not actually in chinese), with more features and debloated, with adb removal, you risk ending up with bootloop, reflashing and starting all over again, but I you like the hassle, why not
