Hi all,
I'm trying to get viper 4 Android working on my pixel 2. I'm rooted and using Magisk. I've got the viper 4 magisk module and also using the deep buffer remover. I also am set to permissive but I can't seem to get Spotify to work through viper. The drivers in viper say installed but it says processing no.
Anyone have any ideas?

I'm on the same set up but using magisk 14.4.2 plus flash kernel, 14.5 for magisk isn't working for modules, root works but modules are not for some reason.
Not using deep budget remover and all I use is Spotify for my music and everything works perfect. Also using se linux toggle to permissive.
Hope that helps. I had to uninstall 14.5 and redo everything, I am also using latest twrp and everyone works perfect. However before i installed twrp magisk 14.4.2, flash, and se linux permissive works great!
I wasn't able to get it working on some of the latest Magisk installs with the modules. Everything installed fine with the Magisk modules but it would never process over BT. It processed fine for the phone speaker though so go figure.
I had an ARISE installer that worked fine on my Pixel 1 so I gave it a shot last night and everything worked fine. I'm on the latest Magisk and I installed via the latest TWRP.
ARISE+Magnum+Opus+20170811.zip
I only install Viper4Android, deep buffer remover and I have Permissive set via SELinux Toggler.
I'm sure that's available via AndroidFileHost but I downloaded it months ago.
____________ Edit 12/5/2017_______________
The above is now giving me issues with 8.1...
Thanks guys I think I managed to get it working using a different module and installing from XDA not through magisk. Only issue now is it seems to be always processing, not just when audio is playing.

Yeah is it possible you can detail how you did the fix and with what?

Follow my guide in post #11 from this thread:

Make sure its the new driver, make sure its that specific module, etc. Also i'm on flash kernel, i know each kernel is different but people have also had success with elementalx kernel.

Hello, I have been trying to get the modded market from lcd density modder pro of which i just bought. it says i have busybox missing when i have installed it from zergrush's zip in the sticky above. in busybox installer and in busybox from the play store, it says i have 1.20.2 installed. however, when trying to install from either app, it always says busybox install failed. same goes for uninstall.
i am currently on m0d's unnamed rom with instigatorx's kernal. i have also tried skyics with cymbaline but have ended up with the same result. i do not think it could be an issue with busybox because it smart install says everything is syslinked.
any help is appreciated. thanks
okay i found the fix to the modded gapps issue by downloading paranoids modded gapps. but as to the busybox issue i still have no clue. when i was on 1.19.4 i couldn't even update it to 1.20.2 through either app. that's when i had to flash the zip
Try this file from CWM http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=912376&d=1329804462
I installed the zip, busybox says i have 1.19 installed. however when i hit install to update to 1.20.2 or 20.1 it installs, but on reboot it reverts back to 1.19.4
1.19.4 should be enough to everything I'm using it and everything is working great.

He's not using lcd modder to change dpi, it looks like he was using it for the play store fix. It is highly recommended for that feature alone.

stay FAR FAR away from that app. XDA search "persistent LCD MOD" or something like that and follow the steps I regurgitated from Eyeballer's Touchpad MOD. It works, I've been using it even since on the SR. You end up moving a "local.prop" file to /Data and your DPI survives nightlies. As for the Play Store, the modded dpi apps are easy to find.

Works just fine for me. . .
Running a stripped down version of 9.16.9 DST with just the radio from the latest OTA.
Xposed 2.1.4
Using the Master Key dual fix and Android Tuner modules.
Most parts of FemBlack's status bar module also worked without a problem.
Working great for me, just followed the installation procedure.
Xprivacy works great.

No lag here.
Does the XPOSED Installer require an unlocked bootloader. Since the exploit was fixed thats a problem for everyone who wants this :/
EDIT: It does work, I ran some test and everything pulls in fine. Also it should since it dosent modify behind the scenes just the front you see.
Can't get it to work on my xt925.
Tried lot of stuff, but nothing worked.
I'm rooted, unlocked and on Stock Rom.
Am i doing anything wrong or is there any way to get it working on odexed Stock Rom?
I havent tried it on my xt926, but works on my s3, tf700t and note 2. It really just depends on the mod. Some are made just for samsung, htc, etc... and then there are a few for any phone.
Some mods work on cm10.1, just trial and error

Hi folks.!!
So I will try to make it as brief as possible. I really and badly wanted to install Viper4Android on my nexus s as I've come across some really good reviews of this app. So headed to the official thread of V4A and downloaded the FX version and installed the 4.x version of it.!!
Everything went well till here. Then, when I launched the app, it requested for a update/install of driver to which I granted the Supersu permission but the driver never got installed irrespective of how many times I gave it a try.!! I have a nexus s running unofficial cyanogenmod 11 android 4.4 overclocked to 1.2GHz and the version of V4A is 2.3.1.3 (if this is of any concern). Having heard V4A has issues with superuser I download Supersu from google play and gave it a try, but was of no use. This time I flashed a zip of supersu but was out of luck as nothing happened this time too.!! I've tried in each and every possible way to get it working on my nexus s but nothing went fine. Infact I've been trying since yesterday almost continuously to get it working and every time it did let me down.!!! I don't really understand what and where the problem is. Why are drivers not getting installed.!!? It keeps on telling me that driver installation is failed and is prompting to check if my device has root access and if su binary is installed when both of them are working fine (at least to my knowledge they really are working). I've seen in some thread that installation of V4A requires busybox to work, so installed it (smart install) but nothing happened.!!
Some posts are suggesting to install it as an user app rather than a system app. I don't really how to install apk as an user app.!! Someone here can help me know.!!?
Has anyone ever tried V4A on their nexus s (with any android version). Did it work fine with the specifications of this device or has anyone encountered any problems so far (assuming someone had a fair install).!! Besides when I chose Super Audio quality, it seems the device should have a dual core cpu. Is it recommended to install V4A in Super Audio quality because nexus s has 1GHz single core processor. Does it have any effect on speakers if used daily.!?
It really is very irritating when you come across some really useful app which you've been waiting from a very long time, besides having a rooted device with latest supersu version only to find drivers ain't getting installed.!!! Someone help me.!!!
I got it from the play store (there are three versions) you need the 4.3.x version install the ?? with neon driver, reboot and works great..

Thanks for the reply.!
When I headed to google play, I found all the versions of V4A in Chinese language. So did not give it a try. Do we get to change the language settings from within the app.!? Where from do I get neon driver.!!?
Besides, I did not find the 4.3.x version of it.! The latest version I found is for 4.3 only.!!

I think it was just that my ROM was screwed up, because I switched to a different one and it worked AMAZINGLY. So I don't think the app had anything to do with it not playing right

I can't stop it since everytime I run it, it says android system fcs for some reason. So I just froze it. I hope that also stops it as well.
So, I have been using this and love it. However, I have noticed that if I have music playing through Spotify or some other application, the MotoAssist feature will not read out my text messages. If I turn off Viper4Android and don't have Spotify going while driving, the program reads off my texts without any problems. Can anyone here verify this?
I love Viper but I wish the Moto X sounded like my nexus 7 that I have dash mounted. There are more tweaks in Viper on the Nexus. Sounds good on the X but doesn't come close to the Nexus.

Please explain how there are more tweaks in viper 4 android on your nexus device. The V4A app is a single app there is not a special one made for a nexus unless you choose different ui settings within the V4A app all tweaks are the same no matter what device you use it on so please enlighten me. The installation no longer asks what kind of chipset you have. It now only asks the quality type you would like (Extreme, super, or high). I'm really hoping here that someone can speak to audio being muted through Moto Assist when using V4A. Anyone?

In your other post, you mentioned turning off V4A and Spotify fixed your problem...any chance the problem is caused by Spotify and not V4A?
I can't offer any insight to the problem since I'm not rooted yet, but I miss V4A from my Galaxy Nexus days and it's the main reason I want to root...however, if it really is V4A that's causing Moto Assist issues, I might think twice.
Thanks.
Anyone can confirm if Moto Assist reading of texts works with this or not, or if that experience up the thread was more a problem with Spotify?

Were you able to solve the bootloop? I get stuck on boot up when flashed v86 arm64 rovo89 xposed! Any solution, would you mind sharing how you got it working? Thanks.
Does ANYONE READ? XPOSED DOES NOT WORK ON STOCK/STOCK BASED SAMSUNG ROMS! Seriously 30 seconds of reading in the Xposed OP would save your hours of flashing and rebooting.
Google: Xposed for TouchWiz by Wanam
Use that version. It boots, because it's made for TouchWiz.
I'm on moar rom "custom rom" and what understood from Kstambaugh09 comment is that he was able to get rovo89 xposed working.

The only xposed I have got to work is wanam's custom build, not others. Google wanam custom build xposed
Wanams build is the only one that I was able to get to work as well. The signature was wrong on the download and I had to update it from 85 to 86 for it to work.

Noobz. Lulz. 1st Rule of XDA. Read. 2nd Rule. Search.
I can't be too hard on ya tho, we were all noobz once. I happened to have the greatest phone in history to learn on tho. The Kyocera/Sanyo Zio. Had to use ADB and fastboot on it, had CWM Recovery. It's buried way down in the Legacy threads now. LoL, okay enough with the trip down memory lane.
Seriously tho, reading the OP is vital. You could still brick your device trying to flash stuff you shouldn't be. It'd also save threads like this from being made.
I ran MOAR for 2 years on the S3, where it was born. Well aware it's a "custom rom". It's also stock based TouchWiz. Regular Xposed is never going to work on it, unless Wanam and rovo get together and merge it.
Have fun guys. Read. Read. Read. Then read it again.
Ive been doing the whole rooting thing since the HTC Thunderbolt. The issue I had was someone had mad a zip but the signature was wrong so it looked like the 86 but was 85. Didnt know until i took the package apart.
