CDMA question

Hi,
One friend who uses in México a CDMA EV-DO cell provider (iusacell) want to buy a CDMA device in USA and then bring it back and use it.
As I am not familiar with CDMA, is there something he should know in order to get compatibility in México?
What about ESN? is there something he should be aware?
Thanks in advance for your help
Nobody!
Any clue?
if he has the correct prl and his carrier wants to add the esn to their database (most wont) then he should be fine.
Thanks josefcrist,
let me get this clear, so it´s not like a GSM model that you can buy an unlock code then use it in any cell provider you like?
What is this prl?
Thanks you for your explanations
cdma is a competing technology to gsm
and it's not compatible with gsm in any way

pm me if you need more help. No you cant just "unlock" a cdma device. the only way that you can use a cdma phone with another cdma carrier is if they want to add your meid/ esn number to their database.
Thank you
PM sent

HSPA on TP2 CDMA

Does anyone know if the HSPA frequency has been unlocked for the TP2 yet?
If not, I have Some money available to get this done. To me it is worth as much as getting a new phone so you can guess the amount...
Please only post replies if you can help achieve this request.
Thank you
What are you trying to do exactly?
Use a CDMA TP2 in AT&T 3G network?

[Q] Domestic Roaming on Verizon Global phones (Galaxy S3)

Ok, I'm told the GS3 is supposed to get global roaming support through a software update. My question is in remote areas of the US where service is only available through AT&T (Snowshoe, WV for example) is there some way to unlock the phone to roam on AT&T's network here in the US? Would putting an AT&T sim in work? Any other ideas of how to accomplish this? Any input is greatly appreciated.

G930W8 on Sprint

Looking for some quick help. Has anyone ever used their G930W8 on Sprint? Wondering which sim card to get
Any help greatly appreciated
Answering my own question, you can't use this phone on Sprint. It won't activate as it doesn't support enough bands

US Cellular

Does anyone have this phone working on US Cellular? I really want to switch to them as they have the best coverage in my area, but they keep telling me that my phone is not supported. I thought I had read somewhere that it is possible. Thanks in advance!
Us cellular is a subset of verizon. So should work.
