Enable AI mode on whyred Redmi note 5 pro

So first of all I'm not the developer or owner of this mod I just found it on YouTube so I'm sharing it.
This is a magisk module to enable Ai mode (in Miui camera) on redmi note 5 pro whyred.
So simply download it through the links given below and install it through magisk and enjoy.
There are two different modules first one is for Miui rooms
And second one is for aosp based custom roms.
I'm personally using it and it's working like a charm.
What you will get -
Ai fully working (in both camers)
Miui camera manual mode fully unlocked
240fps in gcam if u are lucky etc etc.

It's also enables 240fps (in gcam by arnov)for some people but it's not working for me so if it works please let me know.

UPDATE: also 1080p 60fps works on gcam!!!
Not on Miui Camera, though (when I press the recording button with the 1080p/60fps option, nothing happens)
I'm on Arrow OS 9.0 (RN5 Global)

This is practically useless mod, the ai just brightens the pics front cam and portrait mode is blurry and no boekha effect. Stick to the stock miui camera that comes with whyred.

I don't agree...
On AOSP Pie 9.0 based roms that module works great: it improves the MIUI camera (and it even installs it as system app even if your rom has a different one) because it integrates AI, Google Lens, fresh new interface and a few other options in a single package. I don't have any problem with both rear/front Portrait modes.
And it also activates 240 fps Slow Motion and 60 fps video recording on Google Camera (if you have already installed it).
I'm really happy with this module, thanks OP very much! :highfive:

For me te AI not working at all. It don't recognise any scenery, only the ai icon is visible. Camera app is working well, it has new interface with new options so this module do something. Also I don't see any change on my photos with or without ai.

Maybe you have to uninstall any secondary Magisk module related to the camera.
This module already has the gcam patch for RN5, you don't need it anymore as a separate module.
The AI actually works, try to focus on writings on papers (increasing contrast), dark environments (higher ISO applied) and other situations, you will notice the difference (it's not huge, by the way)

I've tried it buz it doesn't change any scene with ai. The button is there and it's turned on, but no scene is recognized

I need to change my opinion about this mod. It is working, but on some scenes camera app is crashing. For example when it detects text the photo is taken, but with car on scene camera is closing and there is no photo saved.

Coz i have flashed n no affect bout manual camera ,, nothing ai button appear

My cam shows green screen in portrait mode rear cam but front cam portrait works fine. I tried everything but no solution... Please help.

Is everything working only with Magisk nowadays? I honestly don't care if a mod touches my system Partition, one reason why I never liked Magisk.

First of all, this is the wrong forum.
And on every start of the camera, the following message appears (see screenshot attached). I deinstalled the camera immediately because such a message on every start is simply annoying

Note: If you still have the pop-up message on startup go to settings and select any lib (stock by google will work too and it won't appear anymore!)

I already tried it on my Redmi note 4x and it is amazing the night mode completely colors are to reality, you know who is the developer? It is the best gcam what e tested for I measure

We've been trying to support One Plus devices, but unfortunately they don't produce "depth map" - the piece of information that we need to restore 3D scene.
We'll keep checking One Plus firmwares. As soon as they add depth map for portrait pictures - we're going to add support for them

We didn't test it yet specifically on Huawei Mate 10 pro, but I suppose it should take shots in the same format like other Huawei devices, and since it has 2 cameras - it may be already supported. Just take a shot in Portrait mode, open Post3D and check this photo in your Gallery (it takes some time to scan all photos). You can also try to directly open that photo with Post3D using File Browser. Please, let me know if it doesn't work for you. It may be really helpful if you send a couple of shots taken in portrait mode, so our team can check why these photos may not open properly.

google photos may process these photos, but we need raw photos (which should be probably 8-10M in size or even more).
So it's better to send them to [email protected]

If anybody has the Omnivision sensor and wants a working Google Camera with night sight, here is the best I have found (should work on other sensors too):

The first mod is called HyperCam - modified Google Camera version 6.1 - developed as far as I know by some Brasilian developers. Their Telegram group: https://t.me/gbcam
The files I uploaded on GDrive are HyperCam versions modified by user called Naazish, downloaded from Redmi Note 4 photography group on Telegram (https://t.me/rn4photography). They include fix of crashing the app under a heavy light, e.g. sunlight (fix originally prepared by Bulkin043 aka Parrot dev). Also I attached some settings in xml format prepared by me and other users. To apply the settings: After installing the app go to your internal storage, create the folder called "GCam", inside it create another folder called "Configs", and paste inside the xml file. Open the app and tap twice on an empty space in the bottom area of the app's interface. Select the xml file and tap "Restore". Feel free to adjust the settings according your own preferences.
Note: For a number of users enabling options "Motion picture", "Focus tracking" or "Sabre" causes camera crashes. Also remember, that the number of frames set in the enhanced HDR+ has an impact on the duration of taking the photo
The second mod is called trCamera, prepared by modder called tigr (Telegram channel: https://t.me/trCameraUpdates). It is based on GCam 7.2 and most features work well. I also uploaded some xml configs. To apply the settings: After installing the app go to your internal storage, create the folder called "GCam7", inside it create another folder called "Configs", and paste inside the xml file. Open the app and tap twice on an empty space in the bottom area of the app's interface. Select the xml file and tap "Restore".
Additionally I uploaded a version of Nokia Cam modified to be working on mido - one of a few with slow motion working.
I try to upload latest versions on my GDrive when they appear, as well as good xml configs from respectable users.

If you activated HDR+ toggle in settings, the option should appear on the upper panel on the main screen and you should be able to turn it off. If the toggle in settings is turned off, the HDR+ is constantly active

Now i use v4 with configs v4, got some bug and force close use v5 with configs v4.
Also i think sometime picture take the colour like more warm or abit reddish, u know about this?

Yea, the cam is not perfect, that's because of omnivision sensor, I belive, which is problematic... I'm getting purple hint somteimes in low light conditions and night sight. You can try to tweak Auto White Balance, Base and some other options to see if it would help. But I'm not able to get rid of this hint totally. At least this GCam mod is really stable and takes beautiful pics in good light condition

I just download and install without uninstall old one v4, also without load any configs after install v6. For now havent get any crash, will see later..

Good for you Sometimes I'm getting crash while processing HDR on Night Sight. It hasn't happened until v6, but still acceptable performance.

So do mine... I loaded xml for V6 as the base and I'm going to try new AWB settings for ov sensor, I just didn't have time yet and poor weather in my location

I did some comparison of all auto white-balance settings in new HyperCam E1. As the base I used Naazish's xml v6, just changed photo ratio and turned on manual focus and AWB Gains mod. I took some shots in the evening inside my room and then during the day outside. Just remind I have omnivision sensor. On my Google Drive account I placed a folder with pictures for you to compare (i wrote down AWB setting used in top-right corner of every picture).
My personal observation is that in the dark conditions with artificial lights Pixel 3 gives the best results. Pixel 2 and OV13880 not bad too. IMX is overly warm, OV12A10 - too pale, Pixel 2, GM1 and Off - too pale plus purple hue. In the daylight, Off and GM1 gives best color rendering and vividness. IMX much too pale, Pixel 2, OV13880 and OV12A10 - average, Pixel 3 - bit better.
So for me there is no one best awb setting. Pixel 3 seems to be most universal, but since I take most pictures in daylight, I'll probably stay with Off most of the time.

This amazing version which works very fine, I found this Gcams for (Nitrogen) devices with no bugs
It was created for redmi note 5 whyred but works fine on Nitrogen devices.
Now I'm using MGC_6.2.030_FixVersion_V14.2.apk version and it work 100% very well.
(Slow motion, lens blur, ETC) (Tested on Havoc-OS-v2.9-20190913-nitrogen-Unofficial) without red In normal mode and in night sight mode when you tap on camera setting.
Don't forget to enable camera2.api

Would there be a version of GCAM 7 that works for the Mi MAX 3?

I think gcam7 doesnt work completely cz gcam7 just work for smartphone that dont have a focus of front camera
Only there gcam work completely but i try to use only in havoc 2.9 and add the script on build prop
