After having the bootloader and FRP unlocked im now stuck since hours within the TWRP installation. I followed every guide I could find step by step with no success - but I found quite high amount of people having the same problem with apparently no solution.
However, I tried the ADB method, flashing TWRP to my BLN-L21 with EMUI 4.1.3. Obviously the flash process succeeded. But instead opening the TWRP screen, the 6x is stuck saying "device is booting..." for hours.
Same with the chinese tool. Stuck, too.
Yes, USB debugging is enabled and yes, OEM Lock is unlocked. Yes, I didn't reboot to system (used power and volume down instead). No success at all.
I'm quite sure, it's a tiny little mistake I make and I wonder, if there is anyone who did a TWRP installation successfully and knows, what I did the wrong way.
Thanks for your help.

Finally I managed to install TWRP and get it to work. The little mistake was really small; I had to unplug the device prior to boot to TWRP.
Unfortunately I did a full wipe (like I used to do on my old Nexus devices) and now I'm caught in a bootloop.
I can
- access fastboot mode (phone unlocked, FRP unlocked)
- access TWRP 3.0.2-0
Problem: I do not know which Firmware to flash, there are too many to choose from in Firmware Finder, although I know the product model BLN-L21.
Firmware Finder shows BLN-L21C10, BLN-L21C185, BLN-L21C432 and, in addition, three Berlin-L21xxx versions. Which is the right one and how is the correct procedure to flash?
Stock was Android 6.
Any idea?

Download firmware for your region and unzip.
Create folder on an SDCard named dload
Move update.app from firmware to dload
Turn phone off
Hold Vol + / Vol - / Power to force flash firmware
That worked like a charm!
Thank you very much for your support.
It could have been so easy - and took me hours.
Thanks again.

yes but you must extract the update.app from update.zip with the extraction tool then put on the sd card in the dload folder

i have just done what i said and that is to unzip (extract) the update.zip file to get the update.app file.
that file (the update.app file) is what i put on my sdcard in the dload folder i created. It simply would not work until i unzipped the file.
It works for me! Im not sure why you are having issues mr Dazed No More..

The very first step of my instructions said to download to firmware and unzip it. Then you came and tried to correct me after the other person followed my steps and said it worked like a charm.
You also talk about extraction tool which is used to extract images from update.app. So maybe you know what you are taking about, you just need to say what you mean.

1. redownload the rom file from official location. ( http://consumer.huawei.com/kh/suppor...h.htm?id=38361 )
It is the official for g6-l11
2. put the update.app into dload folder on your sd card (unpack from the zip)
3. shut down your phone
4. hold volume+ volume- and power button. When it start to boot release the power button, and hold both the volumes until the instalation starts
5. you will see that firmware flashing begin, wait for the end
after that you will have everything in place .
This does not need unlocked bootloader and should work for any version, even when previous instalation is corrupted..
Tell us if it worked.
when you roote your phone it willn't delete eny data

You have to ask either Huawei (it takes time), or ask in facebook group
https://www.facebook.com/groups/328261053999820/permalink/422281734597751/
you will get code and with this code you can unlock bootloader(in fastboot mode).
Next install custom recovery (again you can find it there).
And next just flash super-su from custom recovery and you are rooted. It works always on any mobile.

Extract all the img files from B211 stock rom with Huawei Update Extractor. Extract the boot.img, cust.img, cache.img recovery.img and system.img. Flash each in fastboot. Then when your phone reboots go into settings and do a factory data reset and wipe your internal storage so that it sees the full amount of space. Then you'll be back on B211. Then you should be able to flash KangVIP B211 without issues. Also, after you flash KangVIP B211 be patient as the first boot could take up to 8 minutes.
thank you.

After you flash back to stock B211 yes, flash twrp for 6.0. You need to extract the zip with Huawei Update Extractor and extract those img files.

Okay, try this way.
1. Fastboot flash stock 6.0 recovery and save the 6.0 update.zip in your sd card.
2. reboot with 3keys press (Power and Vol +/-)
3. Just keep pressing the 3 keys (it might take more than 10 seconds) till you see a stock recovery updating in progress.
See if it goes through the whole process. If it does, you are on Stock android 6.0.
If it stops at 9x%, it's just cust problem and it's easy to fix. Just reboot to see if you can go into system.
thank you for replying
i did as you told and i got the system update stop at 4%. i rebooted and went to system but as usual the system rebooted after 3 seconds.'
how do i fix the cust?
by the way i put the update.zip file in root sd card, not dload. is it ok?
update : try also in dload and same thing : stop at 5% and system reboot after 5 seconds of use

HOW TO REMOVE MY TWRP in honor 6, because i cannot update my honor 6 , after downloading all files it'll restart and automatically i goes to TWRP mode , kindly help me
Do the following.
Is your phone rooted?
If yes, open supersu and completely unroot it.
If not (or after unrooting) Go to settings, check which firmware (vesrion of emui) do you have.
Download it on your computer, use huawei update extractor to extract recovery.img from that update.app of your firmware.
Copy recovery.img to your platform tools folder and flash it using
Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Fastboot reboot
After the phone finishes booting, you are ready for OTA upgrade.
(Make sure you flash the recovery.img of the firmware already installed on your phone).
Let me know if anything comes up which it shouldn't.
I think the recovery.img is same of all the firmwares, like if you are on Lollipop then all the Lollipop version's UPDATE.APP will have same recovery.img and same goes for Marshmallow.

It's just a personal preference, if I can do a thing for myself and learn things along the way, why not do that instead of taking the easy way out.
Still, tools are there to be used so why not.

Maybe, do it the hard way first, learn hard stuff, and then do it the easy way as it gets boring in the end.
Hi guys!
Im really sorry to bother you with this but my brain is totally f*cking fried. Been searching for an answer for hours but cant seem to hit the spot.
Im on FRD-L09C432B101 and my phone is starting to act up, so i figured i should update.
Bootloader unlocked, TWRP installed and rooted (not sure if i did it with magiskt or what not..).
So i downloaded B131 and tried to extract boot, recovery and system.img with Huawei Update Extractor. System did not want to extract, keeps going until the green bar i full, but it never finishes. So i tried to do it on B120 that i downloaded from Huawei insted, same thing.
Here's what im thinking of doing:
Since i managed to extract the recovery.img. Is it possible to flash that with "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" and then put the UPDATE.APP on my SD-card and restart the phone so that it updates by itself?
If i remember correctly you put the UPDATE.APP in the root of the SD-card in folder named "dload" ? Im I right?
Last question. Should i update to B120 first? And then maybe do the last update through the GUI on the phone?
Thanks in advance guys!
Edit.
Nevermind. I took the leap and flashed the recovery img i extracted. Worked just fine. Then I updated by copying the update.app file to my phone and booted into stock recovery. All fine and dandy again. Unlocked and rooted.
Mod is welcome to delete this post if they dont see any use for it.
Thanks for posting back your results. Useful for those who want to venture into similar waters. I am about to. Hopefully will remember to come back and post my experience.

Not really, as i know we can install roms by DLOAD only if they are 2 zips package, this one have 3 zips. But if i'm not wrong someone said is TWRP flashable, so if you really want it go TWRP and try it, if not, just wait for official OTA.

I think I have to rename them .zip then flash update.zip, and then update_data_full_public.zip and update_full_FRD-L09_hw_eu.zip with TWRP.
Do I have to reboot between update and update_data_full_public ?
Do I have to clear the cache , the dalvik?
Hope I won't brick...

ok....
So you think that @ScardracS is wrong?
If the firmware is not aprovved for installation, the only way using twrp is the method you have mentioned in post 7: flashing modificated recoveries and using cmd console in twrp to flash the 3 zips. (I trying a couple of times with no success).
Redlotus method is easier than twrp method for me.
Go to the thread and try it or wait to the OTA when firmware be aprovved.

Hi guys, anyone tried the TWRP way to flash the three files yet? I downloaded them for my L09 but am a bit hesitant to risk it from scratch... And anybody has an idea what will happen to my data if I proceed (will the phone be factory reset?) and what happens to the root (stays or goes?). Thanks for any hints...
