I just spotted a part of a firmware for a us model of the Honor 9 (STF-L14) on Firmware Finder. Guess people in the US will eventually geta Honor 9 supporting their frequencies.
(It's the STF-307 firmware from November 16 btw)
As far as I know, not yet, but possibly in near future as Huawei is preparing a L14 firmware.

Does anyone know when Huawei is likely to release a lollipop rom for L02 model? I know they have released B507 for L04 but I have also heard that it can only be installed on that model.
They are keeping quiet not sure if its to sell Honor 7 first and then release the software.......same tactics used by other OEMs.

Anyone know when to expect update on US Honor 8 running EMUI 5, Android 7, Build FRD-L04C567B360 ?
Since this phone is used as BYOD for work, I cannot root. I did try the Huawei Firmware Finder, but it's kinda known not work with EMUI 5...I tried anyway.
Also tried to update via HiSuite on my PeeCee and no luck there.
Is Huawei just not ready to release any updates?
B360 is the latest version for the US. There's nothing to update.
Updates for L04 and L14 are vaporware

I was wondering if there is an emui 8.1 update for our device. Huawei said honor 6x will be updated to emui 8 so i am guessing they will go all the way. From what I can tell, 8.1 brings redesigned gallery, camera and (maybe) face unlock. I have rebranded to BLN-AL20 and in firmware finder there is no update, so just wondering.
There's already an official Oreo flashable firmware on xda (base version 8.0, not 8.1), but the procedure is a little time-consuming and involves rebranding your phone to a BLN-L22.
The firmware is still beta though, and is meant to be used only by official beta testers. Also, if I'm not wrong, it should be the India target version. Still universally usable as you can change your language but probably not meant for your region (unless you live in India).
I personally am using it and it is really stable, but not perfect.

I've been using this Honor 8 as my daily driver for a while now. It is still under warranty.
So I read on this other post about how a new honor 8 the person bought was a FRD-L04 rebranded as FRD-L02. I checked mine and found it rebranded too.
Can someone confirm if all L02 are a version of rebranded L04?
Also, should I wait for the 8.0 OTA or flash L02 ROM from HuRUpdater or rebrand to L09 for OTA?
Will there be VoLTE support if updated through all of these methods?
Yep. Mine is also rebranded L04.
You won't get VoLTE on any openkirin ROMs.

I sometimes think that my Honor 8 (FRD-L09) is the only one on the planet that didn't receive an update to Android 8.0 (Oreo). It said on the updates that it's the latest version. Is there a way to update it? I don't want to use something in official or that may void warranty.
P.S: Reply if you know how (NOT Honor 8 LITE or PRO)
It seems that you have Frd L09 c185 like me so you are not alone
Oreo for some reasons hasn't released for c185 model so you have to change your variant which needs open bootloader and twrp
