Phone: Nokia 3
ROM / Android version: Android Nougat 7.1
Root: No
Xposed, or any other modifications: No
Any physical damage prior to defect: No
Describe your issue:
So basically I was following a tutorial on droidviews /unlock-bootloader-install-twrp-root-nokia-3/ and I installed adb on my computer and stuff etc, drivers.
Here is what I'd done
C:\adb>adb reboot recovery
Then device rebooted to recovery, and I went to fastboot from there. Now the device is stuck on a blank screen with the text:
"=> FASTBOOT mode..."
I've tried
- Holding Power button for 10+ seconds with and without charging cable
- Holding Power + VolDown button for 10+ seconds with and without charging cable
- Holding Power button down for 2 minutes...
- Connecting via PC and doing fastboot reboot / fasboot reboot recovery
- Connecting via PC and doing adb reboot
When connecting via USB 2.0 or 3.0, adb nor fastboot seem to be able to detect the device.
No results yet.
Any help is appreciated
Hi There ! Try Vol-up +Vol-down with 2 fingers and Power button.Always work!
All the best !
@Siniister Petrica is right, i just want to tell you that most guides that you find on internet except XDA for Nokia 3 are fake, so be careful.

unzip stock_recovery.zip and put it on platform-tools. then use fastboot command "fastboot flash recovery stock-recovery.img" (without quotes). If you want to flash twrp, flash it with Flashify.

Have you tried reflashing recovery via fastboot? If you see the Google logo it's trying to boot.

Soft Brick..no USB to help
Nexus S 4g is not connecting to the mobile network. Because of this I am trying to go back to the Sprint stock firmware. USB is properly charging my phone, but I'm unable to have the device enumerated by my pc. I've tried multiple cables, OS's, and PCs. USB is not enumerated even in the bootload state.
I have reverted to a backup when everything was working, but I still have the same problem with the network and USB.
WiFi works so getting new firmwares from ClockworkMod is an option, but going to CM7 did not resolve the problem.
I've read the forums and not found any solution yet. Has anyone heard of this before? Are there any options I can still try through software?

Hi,
I was trying to flash TWRP, but now I am stuck with flashing TWRP logo after rebooting or powering the phone on.
I am unable to get to the fastboot.
STEPS I did before brick:
1. unlocked OEM via official way
2. flashed TWRP
3. after that my phone was reset however most of the apps was missing, I was trying to do factory reset once again but it failed with the message "Data partition was heavily damaged"
4. I re-locked EOM
5. brick as mentioned above
Please help, I have the phone only two weeks and I have no idea how to fix this without fastboot.
Thank you.

Sounds like you flashed the 3030 version of TWRP. Download the 3020 version and put it in your fastboot folder. Plug in the USB to PC
Hold power and volume up untill the phone reboots. While it's still off immediately change to power and volume down and hold till it goes into fastboot (bootloader)
Now fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img
With the 3020 version.
Unplug the USB and hold power and volume up until it says the phone is booting.. let go and TWRP will load.
Go to Wipe / format data / type yes
Reboot to system and your all set

So I've tried that but the phone is still booting to recovery (flashing TWRP logo) no matter what.
Basically the phone is always on now because if hold the power button (or any other combination) for a few second it will just reboot back.
I have an access only to ADB, but I am not able to boot to bootloader at all, it seems the bootloader is damaged somehow.
Also that warning about unlocked OEM doesn't have that text saying "hold volume up to boot to recovery" etc. like before brick.
Hi there,
Try using the Huawei Multi Tool with the Unbrick option : https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/development/tool-huawei-multi-tool-team-mt-t3523923
Speaking from experience, this little fellow helped me recover my phone when I bricked it ON DAY ONE after failed root attempt... (Derp)
Let me know if it helped you
(Leave a thanks if it did )
EDIT : This tool is also useful if you want to get lazy whilst rooting. I use it constantly when flashing diffrent bits and pieces
Clearly follow My steps To unbrick and get normal device ::
Step 1 ::
Download the full firmware of your device.
Step 2 :
make sure that your bootloader is in unlocking state
Follow the video blindly ::: https://youtu.be/OMKDnBqbi3U?list=PL...eT9J26lkefvVkK
don't panic of mobile.
Step 3 :: done ..enjoy u did it
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you bricked on nougat then follow the below steps
step one :::
download the downgrade package to mm .
then extract the zip and open the update.app using HuaweiUpdateextrator in that select recovery and extract
1.now, boot your device into fastboot and flash the recovery (Optional)(try this if it said incompatible version on recovery)
2. on your sd card and make a folder "dload" . and copy the update.app which we have extracted earlier
3.the switch off the device and press all three buttons you will be reboot into recovery and done . you device will be okey

Booting to the bootloader is just a timing issue
Phone must be hooked to PC with USB
And volume up and power till it goes black
Then immediately volume down and power and Hold untill the bootloader loads
Keep trying until you get it

I've tried that, but I am still stuck as that tool is using fastboot as every other tool to flash .img files.
Thank you for the tip though.
Plug phone into computer with USB, then hold down power + volume down until it eventually boots into bootloader. I had the same scenario as you and that's how I got into the bootloader. You can flash either a good TWRP or the stock recovery, either one will work.

Where can I get this ArrowOs GSI rom?

What should I do when the Unlock Tool stops at 50% and reports: couldn't verify the device. Is it because I haven't waited the 10 days yet?

you dont have to boot the image if you flashed it first, if you did 'fastboot flash recovery recoveryname.img', no reason to do the boot part, just do fastboot reboot-recovery
if you dont want to flash twrp over your stock recovery, then use the fastboot boot recoveryname.img and then mess around with twrp, backup everything and flash a new rom and reboot, next time you reboot to recovery, stock will still be there

Unfortunately I can't help you with that but I have a question did you wait 10 days or not cause my phone just refuses to cooperate with the unlock tool. Sometimes the fastboot logo just disapears and it says press any button to shutdown.
Edit: Just to clarify the flash tool does not say anything about the waiting period. If someone can help me or clarify the situation I would greatly appreciate it.
Alright so it appears to either be a USB gen limitation or just my plain ass stupidity for not installing adb drivers. Hell if I know but either way now it says how many days I have to wait so nice.

, and flashing vbmeta.img by twrp was not clear for me as I must "select partition to flash image " as twrp says , so i flashed vbmeta.img one time as boot and another time as bootloader and then flash system.img as system and then install permissiver_v5.zip and then reboot , my phone now not powered on at all , even any logo not appear , i put it in charger and hold power button a lot but no vibration at all and also can't open twrp or fastboot as my hold on power button all it did is flash the above light led when it is in the charger , no any thing else , I think the problem is related to my mistake when flash vbmeta as i didn't know any option i must choose or what is the problem and how can i fix it please ?
You messed up your boot system.....
1. You need a PC
2. Redmi Drivers
3. USB CABLE
4. MiFlash tool and the stock ROM
Do you have MiFlash installed on your PC?
yes , it is installed , i connected the phone as you say but it is not read by the flash tool till now
Wait so has it been discovered or not
Tried different usb ports?

tried them both
i want to know is the problem already is flash vbmeta as boot ?
and now what can i do ?
1. Windows PC with MiFlash Beta (!) tool
2. Download a Xiaomi Fastboot Rom
3. extract Rom to your PC
4. start MiFlash Beta tool and point to the extracted folder
5. press Vol+ & Vol- & Power on your Mi for 10 seconds and connect it to your PC while holding the buttons another second after plugging it in
6. press refresh button on MiFlash tool
7. if your drivers are installed correct, your phone should be visible on COM-Port XXX
8. press flash and hopefully it will be flashed
9. if not: try several times
10. wait until it boots to the welcome screen (around 5 mins)
now your phone should be useable again.
i will try those steps now and tell you , i thank you very much

no , mi flash tool can't read it but there are good and bad news , good is that from here
i could solve my problem using sp flash tool and all instructions in the above video , but bad is after that i tried to root my device using magisk patched boot image and then got infinite boot loop and also want now to solve it the same way by sp flash tool but phone restarts every 6 or 7 seconds so sp flash tool not working with me and also tried a lot of combinations of buttons to go in fast boot mode but invain so what you think i am supposed to do now
