After switching from globe rom 6.12.22 to 7.11.16 the Mi Pc Suite doesn't detect the phone and I can't restore the messages backup I did.
There is any way to restore what is saved on PC to the phone without MI Pc Suite?

Update to what? This is the latest ROM.
I found why the PC didn't find the phone. I tried a lot of adb drivers and found one that works. Now I can see the phone just with my computer. But Mi pc suite still doesnt work and ask to update the device. I tried with usb debuging mode, on and off, and difderent settings on and off, nothing. I had a lot of messages I need to recover.

mi pc suite doesn't work with nougat based rom bro
so I have to put back lolipop and recover whatever is there with mi pc suite and then go back to nougat?
Mi PC Suite saved some files with messages and contacts on PC. Isn't there any way to put it in the phone without MI PC Suite.
Messages file for example are in an file format that I can open with MS Excell. But at 4000 messages are to many to insert them one by one.

Make sure you have the latest Zune, make sure that you sync the phone first and sing in to Zune (not as Guest). Also try a usb port on the back of your computer.

Try another PC then
Don't let your phone go to sleep mode. Next are registered in AppHub? Try other USB port. And yeah when you register your phone, open Zune as well.

Exactly what error do you receive? Also, do you have the SDK 7.1 tools installed from the apphub?

Yes. What does the error say EXACTLY? And in my experience, here's the best set of steps to unlock as Dev:
1. Remove old Windows Phone SDKs and old Zune Application
2. Restart after removal
3. Install latest Windows Phone 7.1 SDK (create.msdn.com) and Zune sfotware
4. Restart after installation
5. Load up Zune software.
6. Connect phone/device via usb. Be sure device is not "screen locked" (slide screen up) and then verify device is viewable in Zune software.
7. Open Start => All Programs => Windows Phone SDK 7.1 => Windows Phone Developer Registration
8. Login and Register Device.
If you can do every step successfully, and the device does not register, there may be something wrong with your device or your account. Also - you can only have 3 devices with a standard development license from MS.

Not able to transfer files through MI PC SUITE throwing error message as (error:Just a sec, busy with another task). There are no tasks running in background.

Hi all,
I am total stuck trying to connect my Xiaomi Mi Note to a Windows PC but I just can´t get the USB Driver installed. I downloaded all available drivers plus Mi Suite but I keep on getting the yellow marked symbol in the device manager and every attempt to update or install the drivers manually failed. Feeling like a noob. Device it rooted and running MIUI 8.
Any ideas?
Your issue is that any driver they release won't pass Microsoft certification process. This is due to them using drivers that are not properly made but hacked together. There are some hacked drivers but that is on you if you willing to risk it. Part of the reason no devs here buy their devices.
Thank you for your post. I just need a chance to connect in order to use BackupTrans to convert my Whatsapp and Viber Messages. Were would I find those drivers. Is the install process the old manual way (like use disk, to install driver)?
Did you try manually installing the drivers to the Device Manager? right click, search for drivers on my PC.. point to the driver folder and choose let me pick, pick the last one.

After updating my Redmi Note 7 pro to miui 12
I don't know why, but I can't connect my Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 pro to my laptop/desktop via USB to transfer files, and I tried different solutions
1-I've logged into my Mi account.
2- install Qualcoom and adb and Google drivers
3- I've enabled dev settings, OEM Unlocking, USB debugging, and Mi Unlock Status.
4- changing many cables and my pc and laptop.
5- i tried to connect note 7 pro to my pc in fastboot mode but pc cant recognised it.
6- i made default USB configuration, file transfer
When I connect my phone, its only charging and not connected
Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

Hello, i might be a bit late to post a reply here but i faced the same issue of my laptop not detecting my note 7 pro and the fault was in my windows version it was 8.1 pro N and i came to realise that windows N versions don't have media pack features which are required in order to detect the phone when is connected through usb. The solution was fairly simple all i had to do is head out to Microsoft website, download media pack feature for Windows N versions installer, install it then reboot the system wait for it to apply the update then try out and connect the phone, it detected! Hope you find this helpful.

I can't connect my phone with USB to share files anymore.
Not sure when/what happened.
I've installed a custom rom on my note 11 pro 5g (veux) and deleted some bloatwares and natives apps i though useless. I think it still worked after that.
Recently, i had to format and reinstall windows 11.
And now i can't connect. I can't guess if it's a driver problem or if i've deleted an essential app.
When i connect with ADB AppControl, the phone is recognized, but i don't have the list of removed app.
Without ADB, the phone is also recognized by windows, but the "redmi" folder doesn't show up on my pc...
Any tips what i could try ?
Besides reinstalling the ROM ?

i don't think it's a driver probleme, because i've never needed a driver to connect the phone, although i've intalled "xiaomi driver" even if i don't really know why or what is it for
Just install Media Feature Pack for windows, from microsoft site or add this package in windows/settings

I've been able to connect a friends phone. I guess i've messes up with the bloatware removal...
Looks like i'll have to start all over again.
Does someone knows how i can save the settings and the files in order to reload them directly after reset ?
