I was using Twrp, was trying to install RR https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/development/rom-t3606257 Somehow since iam a noob I most have done something terrible wrong, formated the phone in the wrong step or whatever, can't get in to Twrp again.
Huawei eRecovery says "Getting package info failed" after it tries to connect for a while over wifi. I know my files remain on the SD card in "dload", but I cant really reach them with the phone
I can get in to Fastboot&Rescue mode but from there I dont know what to do to advance. Phone unlocked & FRP unlocked. Android reboot reason: AP_S_ABNORMAL (well f me?) Cant connect thru HiSuite, at least I dont know how
I have re-download this file http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1774/g1755/v101649/f1/full/update.zip but I cant really use it

Edit: I solved how to get in to twrp again and could reinstall original.. thank god
U need to use another phone or pc to put update.app tp dload.

you dont have some drivers.
phone have to be known in adb by :fastboot devices

Today i've received this tablet. All good and dandy until it notified me it has an update so obviously i've gone and do the update. Surprise.. after reboot, update installment and so on the device won't boot anymore at all, and recover mode doesn't work to enter.
I've found official ROM package on their site:

Tablet can connect to the PC, but it isn't recognized because "some drivers" missing. How can i install this ROM on the tablet from my pc ?

I can't find anything about it on xda or anywhere. You'll need to contact the manufacturer for drivers and instructions on flashing their firmware.

After i tried like almost the entire day i got the tablet in rescue mode or fastboot mode..
I've wiped/data or factory reset and the same happens... it stays in a loop when boot at logo.
I've let it to do so until the battery went dead from 100% and still the same.
I have official ROM but can't install it at all. I think the bootloader is locked?! And it doesnt even unlock it when using some fastboot commands
Also can't install nothing from SD card and when tryin to use ADB the PC can't see the device, but when using fastboot I can work on it.
In rescue mode i've done some root integrity check and at the end of the check some /system files are modified. I believe this is causing the entire problem.

Typically, on devices I know of, it's fastboot that you would use to flash factory images. So you should be good there. But again, I don't know if that is how your device works too. And it would also typically not matter what's been altered on your device, system wise, you would simply flash the appropriate images with fastboot.
So I'd still say you need to determine the correct procedure to flash the files you got from their site. Perhaps there site has instructions? Or a support number for help of its not working as it should?
I've talked with the support. They gave me a link with an official ROM, a different one that the one that was from the site. But they didn't even told how to use it, LOL.
Have the damn files and don't know what to do with them, OMG.
I've placed the zip archive on SD card and tried to use the option from rescue mode with 'update via sd card". The zip archive is visible but after i select it says Installation aborted :|
I've googled around and maybe my tablet needs to be at over 50% power... but it was plugged into the wall it should've worked.
edit: 100% and no good...
edit2: they sent me another e-mail with a pdf file in which it is explained how to flash their device.

I really have a problem right now! I appreciate everyone who tries to help me. I´ll try to expain what exactly is my problem with my Mate8.
Also I´d like to apologize for mistakes of gramatics, because im acutally from Germany..
So, my phone was working right, and actually everything was okay. With time it got so slowly, because storage was full with datas and so on. I tried to clean up some things to get it again a bit faster and so on, but that did not make it (at all). Also windows wont recognize the phone anymore. When plug in the USB it didnt even asked for data, charging or photos.. also I had problems with charging, it took toooo long for a few %.
I was on "KANGVIP" Rom (as much I know i changed stock to this custom rom) https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/development/rom-kangvip-slim-t3318572
Time passed untill 3 days I decided to flash a new rom normally, like put rom on sd card, wipe dalvic and cache, and so on. I wanted this rom; Lineage OS https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/development/6-0-1-cyanogenmod-13-port-t3512985
But everything came up with different errors for different actions I did like this:
"cant mound sd card"
"cant mount inernal storage"
"cant mount data"
"cant format data"
"cant mount system"
"cant mount cache"
etc. etc...
I tried to change file system to EXT3. EXT4, EXT2, FAT, and so on, for Data and System. Nothing worked correctly (but I had still on some Filestystems instead of 0MB like 2700MB). Still not working correct... On TWRP.
Then I tried to update TWRP from 3.0.1 to 3.1 (new one released). Because I saw, more precisely, I heard that an update can fix this mount issues I had.
Said and done, I updated it and instead of 3.1 I had 3.0.2 (idk why but I didnt care). But still theese problems happend.
So then I saw in a Video on youtube (which I cant find anymore) that another recovery like CWM can fix this issues. So I downloaded CWM recovery.img and installed it with TWRP an rebooted to recovery again. And now I´m in a situation, in wich I dont know what to do.
Now the phone tries to start, but no OS installed.
Try to get into Recovery, but no recovery aviable exept eRecovery which is failing with data when trying to restore.
Problem is also that Fastboot and ADB is not working. Installed HiSuite, ADB drivers, Samsung drivers (though could help).
Tried Knife Italian, but no connection to pc..
Tried different cable, no luck.
Tried windows 7, 8.1, 10 Home and now im on Win 10 Pro 64x.
All I can do is to boot into Fastmode, but cant do anything. And when I try to boot the phone normally it stucks on "Your device is booting now..." because no OS...

I was experiencing the same problem. No OS, no recovery, no fastboot flash possibility, only fastboot booting. Keep in mind that you will need 15€ for this method to work but it is the only way to resurrect your device.

The problem is, that it only boots in to fastbootmode, but any pc wont recognize it. I tried even with Mac...:crying:

DC-Phoenix should recognize the fastboot brick state even if the device doesn't show up in Minimal ADB & Fastboot. Try my method and let me know if it works.

Yes. You will have the factory firmware (stock) but with unlocked bootloader.

The phone ask to update the emui, and i did but now the phone is stock in erecovery mode when ask to download the latest version and recovery via wifi but fail every time.
I try to reset to fabric settings but don´t work.

i have try the two methods but don´t work. via wifi fails everytime. via hisuite the recovey said the phone is not supported

Hi I have a problem also with honor 8 with rom FRD-AL00, I unlocked the phone I installed the twrp recovery while installing the rom eu L09 the smartphone turned off black screen but it was a fastboot, i restored with the original ROM with DC -Phoenix everything ok but with android test, later because I'm stubborn, I tried to flash the rom L09 with DC_Phoenix successfully the L09 but I found them all changed zero and also the S / N, I tried several times to reflash with the Original rom but at some point it is briked the phone lights up alone when it is loaded and then comes into sdcard recovery but always with 5% and software install failed, even without SDcard inserted, does not vieve recognized by the PC, does not enter In fastboot, the PC only recognizes it when it's on the software install failed screen with the entry (Linux File-CD Gadget USB Device) this is the only way to connect to the computer. I also tried all the options with volume and power buttons but nothing. Looking for help as I can solve it?

Are you able to flash twrp?
Unfortunately, I can not get in any way to restart with recovery from SDcard but it does not recognize any firmware stops at 5% with the following message (software install failed).

No! I have already explained it does not enter fastboot and is not recognized by the PC, the only way is sd card but I tried various firmware stops at 5% even seza sd card.
When it enters sdcard recovery mode and connects to the PC it is reconnected in this way as a CDROM (linux file-cd gadget usb device).

I have a honor 8 al00, i can't restore ;-;
I was flashing a custom rom, when i couldnt install GAPPS, i tried rebooting my phone, and it didnt work. So i went into TWRP and formated the device. When i reboot it get stuck on the device cant be trusted thing (from unlocking the bootloader.) So i go into the Huawei eRecovery, and try to install software with Wi-Fi. However it says getting package info failed. My PC doesnt recognise my phone either.
Is there anything i can do, please help.
